“Finished writing?”
Jing Ni put away the brush Li Mo handed him and smoothly inserted the tip into a bamboo tube the size of his pinky.
Li Mo picked up the cloth on his knee and shook it, allowing the faint ink strokes to dry quickly in the light breeze.
“Done writing, I came early today, making you accompany me sitting by the street.”
Jing Ni shook her head slightly, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Since I married my husband, even sleeping on the street is fine.”
After collecting the brush and inkstone, she turned her body, leaning gently against Li Mo and curiously examining the cloth in his hands.
“Husband, what language is this that you’ve written? I’ve never seen these characters before.”

“What’s written on this cloth is our means of making money today.”
“Let’s go, the doors should be open now, let’s head inside.”
Jing Ni stood up, holding his hand and leading the way, becoming increasingly curious about how Li Mo made his living.
