Chapter 96: Minotaur?! Hehe.
Arrogant words struck Phanel’s face head-on. If anyone else dared to speak so arrogantly in front of Phanel, he would have unhesitatingly slapped them into ashes.
But the Hero was different. Not to mention that he held the Legendary Holy Sword, even if he summoned the full power of the Sacred Domain, it would be quite difficult to defeat him.
Furthermore, the Hero’s reputation in the human world meant that daring to make a move against him was essentially equivalent to declaring war on all countries and major powers in the human realm.
Phanel certainly didn’t have that kind of courage, so he could only bend down and agree to Alicia’s words: “I understand, I will leave and withdraw all alerts and searches from the Sacred Domain regarding this child, and reduce her danger level to zero. Will that satisfy you, My Lord Hero?”
Alicia silently nodded. “Haha, that’s good.” Phanel nodded and smiled lightly.
On the other hand, Elweiss couldn’t sit still. A strong sense of jealousy surged within her, and she excitedly said, “My Lord Hero, who is she? Why are you protecting her so much? You even risked opposing the Sacred Domain for her.”
Alicia paused for a moment and then slowly said, “I don’t know who she really is, but I do know that she is a kind person with a sense of justice. Someone like her, I will never neglect.”
Hearing this, Elweiss was slightly taken aback but soon understood. My Lord Hero was still the same as before, following the principles of justice and reason in her heart. For that reason, even if it meant death, she wouldn’t frown.
Elweiss gently glanced at Elrose in Alicia’s arms. Although she felt truly jealous of her protection by the Hero, in the end, My Lord Hero was not protecting her but defending the justice and principles in her own heart.
My Lord Hero really has not changed at all.
Elweiss smiled slightly and respectfully said, “I understand.”
Phanel also smiled and nodded: “Alright, since we have discussed everything, then My Lord Hero, the projection of the Saint Lanya Barrier consumes a great deal of energy, so we will not linger anymore. I will await your visit in the Sacred Domain.”
Elweiss looked at Alicia with affectionate eyes: “My Lord Hero, see you again in the Sacred Domain.”
After speaking, a flash of golden light appeared, and their illusory figures disappeared along with the sparkling changes in the distant sky of the Saint Lanya Barrier.
Upon seeing them leave, Alicia let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, they were only an illusory projection. Her bluff worked quite well; if they had come in person again, it would probably take only a few seconds for them to discover that her strength had greatly diminished.
As for going to the Sacred Domain…
Alicia sighed in frustration.
She definitely needed to go to the Sacred Domain, but with her Holy Sword lost, she had completely lost the power of the Hero. Now, going to the Sacred Domain, it was not just to demand an explanation; whether she would even survive was a question.
However, Alicia did have a solution in mind for this matter.
In Franca Academy, deep within that academy, the Holy Magic Wand of the fourth Hero, the Mage Hero, lay quietly in slumber. If she could gain the recognition of that Legendary Artifact, the power of the Hero would instantly return to her. All she would need to do is switch her class from Swordsman to Mage. But that wasn’t a problem; over three hundred years, her knowledge and accumulated experience far exceeded that of ordinary people.
Swords, spears, blades, hidden weapons, magic, crafting formations, etc., there was nothing she couldn’t do; she was a standard all-round warrior. Yet ultimately, these were all matters for another time. Right now, there was something even more important for her to handle.
Alicia gently glanced at Shadie in her arms. Her breathing was extremely weak, and her mana fluctuations were very unstable; she needed immediate treatment.
In the next moment, with a flash of golden light, Alicia disappeared with Elrose.
On the other side, Lance, Saya, and the others were left stunned and gaping in place. Shadie, the Light Saintess, the Hero, and the High Pope—they had never seen such a grand scene.
Plus, they could all tell that the Hero was standing with Shadie; it seemed he even had an argument with two big shots from the Sacred Domain for her sake.
This was just too damn exciting.
Without further thought, the headline of tomorrow’s newspaper in Mornhart would surely be about this event. Moreover, within a week, the entire human realm would learn of it. They didn’t know what kind of explanation the Sacred Domain would provide by then.
Just then, a piercing voice suddenly rang out.
“Wahaha, to survive great calamity is surely a blessing to come!” Lance, wielding the Flame of Destruction, howled to the sky, then turned to Cedric with a cold smile: “So, Town Mayor Cedric, even if Shadie showed up today, I’m still alive. I’m truly amazing, hahaha.”
Lance waved his sword and grinned broadly, revealing his stark white teeth: “Cedric, let’s return to what just happened.”
“Little man rising,” Cedric gritted his teeth, just about to say something when he suddenly froze, then spoke incredulously: “My, My Lord Hero.”
“Huh? Hero? The Hero has already left.” Lance laughed loudly, “Cedric, today, no one can save you.”
“Roar, is that so?”
An extremely cold voice suddenly came from behind Lance. He turned abruptly to see a familiar figure dressed in golden armor, holding a girl, that had appeared behind him without him noticing.
“My, My Lord Hero.” Lance trembled all over, feeling he might wet himself from fear.
But in the next moment…
Hey, wait.
Why am I so nervous? The Hero doesn’t know what I’ve done; why am I panicking?
Lance promptly put on a cheeky smile: “Hehe, My Lord Hero, is there something you need?”
Alicia glanced at him lightly: “I’ve seen you before, Lancelot Griffin, known as the Thug Sword Saint, son-in-law of the Lionheart Sword Saint Ryan, right?”
Yes, yes, yes. Lance nodded repeatedly: “Do you know my master, My Lord Hero?”
“Of course I know.” Alicia said faintly: “Your master’s swordsmanship was taught by me. As for seniority, you still have to call me Master.”
Lance was overjoyed upon hearing this, quickly kneeling and knocking his head, “This is Lancelot, paying respects to Master.”
Cedric, seeing this, felt his heart sink to the bottom.
Damn it, what kind of luck does Lance have to have such a connection with the Hero?
“Master, is there something you need from me?” Lance beamed, looking at Alicia with an ingratiating expression.
It’s rumored that the Golden Dragon Hero travels the world and often offers some assistance to those with talent. Some receive guidance, some receive suitable weapons, and some receive letters of recommendation to great powers.
And those people eventually soar high, becoming prominent figures.
Today My Lord Hero has already left but has come back to find me. Does she think I have extraordinary potential and want to guide me?
Wow, what did I just say about surviving misfortune bringing future blessings?
I didn’t expect it to come true so quickly.
Awesome.
Lance’s eyes lit up as he watched Alicia slowly pull something out from behind her.
A small red book.
Alicia’s eyes glimmered with cold light: “Can you explain what this is?”
