Chapter 118: Surprise Attack and Counter Kill
Kendrick’s words were like the whispers of a demon, making Elrose feel a tingling sensation all over.
The world’s number one dessert, crafted by a level 99 pastry chef.
Elrose swallowed hard; just hearing that title made her salivate.
“I… I’ll think about it.”
Elrose hesitated.
“Okay.” Kendrick nodded and turned to leave Elrose’s room.
Outside the room, Alicia looked at Kendrick with some confusion.
“Kendrick, who is this world-renowned level 99 pastry chef, Lady Wild Rice? I’ve never heard of her before,” Alicia asked, puzzled.
“Didn’t My Lord Hero hear it?” Kendrick shrugged, “I don’t know her either.”
Alicia’s eyes widened instantly: “Then why did you tell Elrose…”
“Oh, my Lord Hero, if I hadn’t said that, Elrose would never agree to come with you.” Kendrick smiled wryly, “As for what to do next, it’ll depend on your improvisation, My Lord Hero.”
A twinge of guilt surged within.
“Is it really okay to trick her like this?”
“Oh come on, My Lord Hero, you are My Lord Hero! How can it be called trickery when it involves you?”
Inside the room.

Elrose looked over at the vase on her desk.

Elrose looked at her traps with satisfaction; all she needed to do now was wait for someone to fall for them.
“Elrose called for me?”
Alicia, in the kitchen with Kendrick preparing ingredients for the evening, was suddenly approached by Stella.
“Yeah, the Angelic Onee-san wants you to go to her room.” Stella nodded her little head, “She said something about a travel plan and wants to discuss it with you.”
Alicia was startled and quickly turned to Kendrick.
Kendrick smiled slightly: “Alicia, go ahead. It looks like it’s going to happen.”
“Thank you.” Alicia put down the knife, washed her hands, and then strode directly to the second floor.
“Miss Elrose.”
Alicia stood at Elrose’s door and gently knocked.
There was no response.
Alicia knocked again: “Miss Elrose.”
Still no response.
Frowning, Alicia tentatively turned the doorknob.
Not locked.
“Elrose, I’m coming in.”
Alicia pushed the door open and was greeted by the familiar room filled with the enchanting aroma of a young girl. It was her first time officially entering through the main door.
Alicia looked around but didn’t see Elrose anywhere.
“Hmm? Where is she?” Alicia murmured, unsure.
The next moment.
“Bang!”
With the power of magic, the door slammed shut.
Behind it, Elrose wore a satisfied smile, like a little demon.
Magic trap, gravity magic, activate.
“Boom!”
In an instant, dozens of times the gravity were suddenly applied to Alicia, as if she were carrying dozens of herself.
The massive pressure caused her to kneel down.
Before she could react, Elrose charged at her with a vase that had been enhanced nine times and enchanted with four attributes.
“Bang!”
“Thud!”
With a single hit, Alicia collapsed to the ground.
Elrose stood to the side, carefully channeling her magical energy to flip Alicia over, and saw her eyes tightly shut—clearly she had fainted.
“Ha ha, you thought you could fight me?” Elrose laughed triumphantly as she looked at the unconscious Alicia.
She strode over to Alicia and gently squatted down to examine her features closely.
“Tsk tsk tsk, really a stunning beauty. With such looks, it’s no wonder girls are drawn to her.” Elrose poked Alicia’s cheek gently with the vase, “What a shame, so many pretty girls out there, yet you chose to fixate on me.”
“Kendrick suggested that we travel together, right? That idea must’ve come from you.”
“To catch the girl you like, you guys really used all your tricks, convincing even someone as straightforward as Kendrick—but I can’t blame him, he is my savior after all.”
Elrose grinned: “You know what? I’ve scared three guys like you before. The first one almost peed himself, the second got his head shaved bald, and the third I nearly killed. So what should I do to you?”
As she said this, Elrose’s hand gently rested on Alicia’s right leg, slowly channeling magic in.
Compared to the previous few, Alicia was at least still somewhat clean. Elrose certainly wouldn’t really hurt her; just casting a curse to make her muscles cramp for a few days would suffice to keep her from following her to Mornhart’s capital.
“I wondered why you were so wary of me; turns out it’s like this.”
Just as Elrose prepared to activate the curse, Alicia suddenly opened her eyes wide and grabbed Elrose’s arm, flipping over to pin Elrose down.
Elrose was startled, her eyes widening: “You didn’t faint?!”
“Of course not.” Alicia laughed heartily, “Though saying this might sound a bit narcissistic, my body is far stronger than the average person.”
“Stronger than the average person…” Elrose, pinned beneath Alicia, felt her face flush a bright red, “Pervert, brute, weirdo, disgusting, you damn dog of a man, keep your dirty thoughts to yourself! Even if I die, I won’t give in to you!”
“Huh?” Alicia was stunned, suddenly bombarded by such foul words. She felt Elrose must have misunderstood something again.
