Chapter 302: Strategy
Early in the morning, Ning Chu woke up full of energy.
It was only six o’clock, and the room was still dark. She stretched and sat up.
After a little shiver, any lingering sleepiness vanished completely.
Indeed, after having a midnight snack last night, even though she slept only about five hours, she still felt good.
She felt no fatigue or drowsiness at all.
Only her cheeks seemed a bit sore. She gently rubbed them and shot a dissatisfied glance at Wen Yang.
Last night, they just had a midnight snack, and Wen Yang was so sleepy that he just collapsed and went to sleep.
She really doubted whether this guy even remembered what happened last night.
Ning Chu curled up her legs, resting her chin on her knees, gazing at Wen Yang.
As a succubus, she drank milk last night but didn’t get any pleasure from it, resulting in a dream filled with images of men.
“Once you’re comfortable, you forget about me.”
“Scumbag!”
Before she knew it, she was growing more like a succubus.
Just like the characters in the Small Royal Text, drinking milk so proactively… although it had a purpose and wasn’t just for casual fun, recalling it still made her feel embarrassed.
Last night, she must have been under some spell.
What was even scarier was that aside from a bit of embarrassment, she didn’t really feel strong regret or resistance.
Had she gotten too accustomed to her feminine decline?
Back when she kissed Wen Yang, she used to be upset and regretful for ages, too embarrassed to talk to him.
Now, she had taken the initiative to eat a midnight snack, but instead of feeling relieved that Wen Yang was asleep, she felt unfulfilled.
Noticing Wen Yang shivering a bit in his sleep, Ning Chu pulled the blanket over him.
For some reason, when she woke up, the blanket was all on her, even though they had clearly split it in half before sleep.
It must have been that Wen Yang was afraid she would be cold and let her have it… or maybe it was just her unconsciously snatching the blanket. She recalled how her brother had a fight with her over blankets when they were kids, and only when they each got their own blanket did the problem get solved.
As Ning Chu gently swayed her heart-shaped tail, she got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.
It was still early, and she planned to write some of her novel until Wen Yang got up, after which she would turn on the light and review the exam content for the day.
However, the sound of her washing up woke Wen Yang.
He walked to the bathroom door, pushed it open a bit, and yawned while looking inside. “You’re up pretty early today.”
Ning Chu angrily threw a roll of toilet paper at him. “Close the door!”
“Oh… how long do you need? I need to use the bathroom.”
“Just wait!”
“You didn’t close the door yourself…”
Although they had been living together for a long time, Ning Chu still couldn’t accept Wen Yang seeing her use the bathroom.
Moments later, she angrily pushed open the door, glaring at Wen Yang. “From now on, when I’m in the bathroom, you have to knock first!”
“Alright.” Wen Yang scratched his head and stepped aside.
He didn’t quite understand what Ning Chu was so upset about… after all, he had seen every part of her countless times, even explored them with his own hands.
“What do you want to eat later?”
“Let’s go to the school cafeteria?” Ning Chu had just walked a few steps when she poked her head back in to remind him, “Don’t make a mess everywhere! Remember to wipe!”
“Okay… but I can’t control that.”
She nodded in understanding and suggested, “Why don’t you just sit down to pee from now on?”
“Let’s skip that, okay? I’ll definitely remember to wipe.”
It was just too normal for men to aim in different directions, especially right after getting up in the morning.
When Ning Chu was still a guy, her mother had often scolded her for this. She never expected that now she would be the one caring about it.
After writing a thousand words of her novel, around seven o’clock, the two left the rental apartment and took a bus to the school cafeteria for breakfast.
The large cafeteria didn’t have many students around. As soon as they entered, Ning Chu spotted Wang Jie and Zhang Shaoqing.
“How was the date last night?! What time did you get back?”
She jogged over, curious.
“Didn’t I tell you? The date went smoothly, and I even treated Qian Qian to a midnight snack.”
“Your face doesn’t look like it went well~”
“Then why the hell are you asking?!” Zhang Shaoqing cursed, “Damn it! After a few hours, I barely spoke two sentences with her!”
Wen Yang bought breakfast and sat down next to them. After handing Ning Chu soybean milk and a meat bun, he asked, “Didn’t you talk to her at all?”
“Talk? Hell no! When I tried talking to her, she acted like she didn’t hear me!”
Ning Chu bit into her meat bun, trying to stifle a laugh. “Didn’t we say? Teacher Qian Qian might prefer someone more dominant. Why don’t you try being less of a pushover?”
“Yeah? If I do that, she’ll just hate me. Can you not give me such bad advice?”
“Oh, so you know you’re annoying, huh?”
She sighed, “You’re pretty self-aware, but why don’t you change?”
“Because I like it!”
Zhang Shaoqing’s pursuit of girls wasn’t going well…
Ning Chu worried that this guy was too emotionally invested and might end up crying a river if things went south, so she advised, “Why don’t you just give up?”
“Not a chance!”
“But soon it’ll be winter break~ There’s definitely not enough time.”
Wen Yang nodded in agreement. “Maybe you could prepare a bit and see what happens next semester.”
“Stop bothering me with useless talk,” Zhang Shaoqing sulked, “I’d rather have my spray back.”
All he needed was to point it at Qian Qian’s face, press the nozzle gently, and he’d be rewarded with a lovely cat-girl wife that perfectly matched his type.
Ning Chu jolted awake, instantly alert. “Are you thinking about that perverted method again? You should…”
“Okay, okay, enough with the nagging. You’re more annoying than my mom. I’m just saying it casually.”
Frowning, she fell silent for a moment before pulling out her phone to check the short entries in Qian Qian’s development diary.
“Shaoqing, I have some intel, whether you want to hear it or not.”
To prevent Zhang Shaoqing from genuinely choosing the dark side, Ning Chu felt she had to share some strategies.
After all, it wasn’t just hypnosis and x-ray vision; this guy could also possibly get other tools, and there was weirder stuff waiting behind…
“What’s up?”
Ning Chu looked at the book’s notes and said, “That girl likes something dominant and thrilling. So you can’t be like yesterday, too attentive and like a simp.”
“???”
“She… she…”
She wanted to say something embarrassing about outdoor exposure play, but it was too hard to admit, and besides, in the book it was done under duress and shouldn’t really count as something she liked.
Her face flushed as she continued, “She loves fruits, especially durian. You could buy some good ones for her.”
“Should I get some Musang King?”
“I don’t know much about durian, don’t ask me… Oh, and that guy she likes is a scumbag, so keep an eye out so he doesn’t take her from you.”
Zhang Shaoqing looked at her skeptically. “How do you know all this? I haven’t even seen you talk to Qian Qian.”
Ning Chu sensed Wen Yang’s gaze on her, filled with doubt, probably connecting it to the contents of the novel.
Not daring to say more, she couldn’t explain.
She put down her phone and rolled her eyes. “I just heard it from others. Whether you believe it or not, that’s up to you!”
