Chapter 258

Chapter 258: 257. The Girl Who Fell Flat

Early in the morning, Wen Yang was roused from his sleep by voices outside.

As his brain slowly booted up, he felt heavy and short of breath, as if a stone slab was pressing down on him, making it hard to breathe.

Opening his weary eyes, he looked down and found Ning Chu’s head resting on his chest, her thighs lifted high and pressing down on his abdomen, like an octopus. Her arms were tightly wrapped around him too.

He had become a human pillow.

His chest felt achy from that little head weighing down all night, leaving him with a mild soreness.

Wen Yang gritted his teeth and carefully shifted Ning Chu to the pillow so she could continue sleeping.

Ning Chu usually preferred to sleep on his arm, but she later realized that if she did that all night, her arm would be sore and numb the next day.

He sat up and glanced at Ning Chu’s terrible sleeping position.

The girl was wearing just a short nightgown, which had now rolled up to her waist, exposing her white panties and a silver line in her lower abdomen. She lay flat on the bed with a cute, heart-patterned tail between her legs, sleeping soundly like a precious little angel, completely oblivious to Wen Yang’s movements.

Wen Yang felt a bit tempted and then shifted his gaze to Ning Chu’s chest.

For some reason, it looked a little bigger?

When lying flat, no matter how prominent the shape, it always appeared smaller, but now he could faintly see some vague changes.

He wasn’t sure if it was due to his careful nurturing these past few days or if Ning Chu was entering a developmental phase.

His hands itched a little; he carefully tried to gauge it.

Yep, definitely bigger.

After his hands-on measurement, he came to a clear conclusion.

And still so soft…

However, when he looked back at Ning Chu, he found those enchanting peach blossom eyes opened wide.

Even though he had already claimed all of Ning Chu, Wen Yang felt a little awkward and explained, “A mosquito was sitting on you.”

Just waking up, Ning Chu looked a bit dazed, her eyes glimmering with sleep. She lazily rolled over to her side, curling her tail from beneath her and hugging it to her chest: “Hmm… what time is it?”

“Six o’clock.”

“I’ll sleep a bit more, wake me up at seven.”

“I’m going to buy you breakfast.”

“……”

Wen Yang watched as Ning Chu’s long, curled eyelashes fluttered, and he gradually fell into a peaceful state, realizing his girlfriend had fallen into a deep sleep again.

For some reason, whenever he shared a room with Ning Chu, his brain would conjure up some steamy scenes.

The normal morning reactions of a man combined with all the naughty thoughts in his mind made it so he could hardly even get out of the bathroom.

Must be the succubus’s body fragrance?

They say a succubus’s scent can ignite a man’s desires, and since Ning Chu usually didn’t bother to open windows, the room had accumulated her stimulating aroma.

Is that why his future mother-in-law opened the window for some fresh air when she came over to the rental apartment?

After washing his face and finally addressing his personal hygiene, Wen Yang left the rental house. Since it was still early, he planned to take a stroll around the village to see if there were any breakfast options that Ning Chu hadn’t tried yet.

“Shaxian isn’t open yet this early.”

“Ning Chu has already eaten the braised noodles several times; she said she’s a bit tired of them.”

Whenever Ning Chu found something delicious, she would eat it for several days straight until she got sick of it.

Wen Yang walked along the little path in the village, looking around at the shops.

This village rented out to quite a few nearby students, so many stores had popped up. The location was a bit remote, the rent was cheap, and besides catering to tenants, they also delivered takeout to a few nearby universities.

He spotted a busy congee shop.

The shop had only two tables and chairs, clearly focused on takeout business.

“Boss, one pig’s blood congee, one fried dough stick, and two meat buns. To go, please.”

“Coming right up! Please wait.”

It was a bit hot inside, so Wen Yang moved a chair outside and leaned against the wall. He looked up and noticed that the old man sitting across the path had the exact same posture as him.

Mornings in the village were always so peaceful.

He smiled kindly at the old man, taking a breath of the refreshing morning air, feeling even more invigorated.

He glanced at his phone to confirm Ning Chu hadn’t woken up looking for him, then looked up and suddenly spotted a familiar figure at the end of the path.

Hmm, she looks familiar.

Wen Yang assessed the girl, but she quickly sensed his gaze and hurriedly lowered her head, pulling her hoodie over it, looking nervous and speeding up her walk.

Seeing the girl’s actions, Wen Yang suddenly remembered.

She was the shy vampire girl he had seen at school, whom he didn’t expect to be renting in this village too.

He didn’t pay her much mind; he was more focused on how to continue nurturing Ning Chu.

After all, he needed to reach a C-cup!

Five foot three, C-cup wouldn’t look too big or small; it wouldn’t ruin the aesthetic either.

His big hands should be able to hold everything just right, though maybe it would be a little exceeded, but not a big deal.

Just as he was thinking, he suddenly heard a thud in front of him.

Wen Yang looked up in confusion to see that the vampire girl had flopped down on the ground, just a few inches from his shoes.

“……”

His first thought was, did this girl just try to grab his attention this way?

“Hey, you alright?”

The girl lay on the ground, not responding for a while.

“Hey?” Wen Yang was genuinely a bit panicked.

He quickly set aside thoughts of Ning Chu getting jealous and rushed to the fainted girl’s side, not knowing what to do, pulled out his phone to call for help.

“What happened to her?”

The staff at the congee shop came out with the packed breakfast and handed it to Wen Yang.

“I don’t know, she just fainted suddenly.” Wen Yang explained, “I called the hospital; an ambulance will be here soon. How about you…”

Before he could finish his sentence, the staff hurriedly shook their head: “I need to get back to work.”

The road was eerily quiet, and neither the staff nor Wen Yang had any knowledge of first aid. They both just stared at the girl lying on the ground, hesitant to approach.

“Should we put her inside the shop?”

“Okay then…”

……

Ning Chu opened her eyes, checked her phone, and realized it was already seven-thirty.

Her brain instantly cleared, and she jumped out of bed shouting: “Wen Yang! Why didn’t you wake me up? It’s already seven-thirty!”

She dashed towards the bathroom, grabbing her toothbrush and about to start washing up when she suddenly noticed Wen Yang was nowhere to be found.

“Wen Yang?”

Ning Chu poked her head out of the bathroom and scanned the room: “Where is he?”

She vaguely remembered Wen Yang saying he was going to buy breakfast, right?

But class was about to start, and he still hadn’t returned?

She wasn’t too worried about Wen Yang getting into any trouble; after all, he was her main character, radiating protagonist energy.

There could only be one possibility!

He must have gotten entangled with some girl!
