Chapter 173: 172. No One Looks Like a Good Person
Ning Chu was visiting a KTV for the first time, at least in this world.
She curiously surveyed the not-so-big private room, sitting shyly in the innermost corner, always keeping a watchful eye on the door, observing the comings and goings of guests and waitstaff in the corridor.

The bathroom wasn’t far; just a turn or two and they would arrive.
But at the bathroom’s entrance, a burly man was blocking the way, puffing on a cigarette. His shadowy eyes quickly scanned them before he went back to mindlessly fiddling with his phone.

This scene! This big guy! It’s obvious something’s off!

Ning Chu struggled against the uncomfortable scrutiny and quickly grabbed Yan Xinya’s sleeve, whispering, “What if we try a different bathroom?”

Ning Chu’s heart nearly stopped. She watched as Yan Xinya confidently strode into the bathroom, quickly glancing at the big guy to make way before hurriedly following in behind her.
Yan Xinya slipped into a stall, reassuring her from the other side of the door, “You’re too anxious~ Stop scaring yourself. Since Wen Yang left, you’ve been on edge.”
“He does look like he’s not a good person…”
