Chapter 156

Chapter 156: The Dormitory

“Kids! Daddy’s back!”

Early in the morning, the dormitory door was kicked open, and Zhang Shaoqing swaggered in.

“Wow! Coming back to the dorm feels like going home!”

He turned around to close the gate, making sure Hei Dou didn’t sneak out, and then looked around the room.

“Why is no one paying attention to me?”

He looked up at Ning Chu, who was sitting at the bed with an expression almost screaming “socially awkward”: “Hey! Where’s Wen Yang?”

“He’s in the bathroom.”

“Well, your boyfriend’s not missing either. Why do you look so unhappy?”

“……”

Zhang Shaoqing walked over to the bed, standing on his toes, waving a bag of breakfast in front of Ning Chu: “Want some? They sell rice rolls outside of school.”

Ning Chu just glanced up, yawning and shaking her head.

“You’re such a weirdo.”

Her mind was all wrapped up in how to get through these few days without Wen Yang. Ever since arriving here, she hadn’t spent long apart from him, and just the thought of him leaving made her heart heavy.

Somewhere along the line, it seemed like she had become dependent on Wen Yang.

Ning Chu hugged her legs, resting her chin on her knees, curling up tightly.

“This shouldn’t be happening… Sure, she wasn’t exactly Superman, but she used to be independent, not whatever this is now.

“So early to be back?” Wen Yang walked in from the balcony, casually greeting Zhang Shaoqing.

“Hey, I brought rice rolls! Ning Chu won’t eat any, so go ahead and have more.”

“Sure.”

He took two portions of rice rolls from Zhang Shaoqing and then turned to Ning Chu: “You really don’t want any?”

Ning Chu quickly perked up, waving her hands nonchalantly: “I don’t like rice rolls. You eat them.”

“Skipping breakfast can lead to low blood sugar.”

“Then why don’t you go to the cafeteria and get me something?”

“Sure thing.”

As soon as Wen Yang left the dormitory, Ning Chu slumped again, scrolling through her phone with a gloomy face.

Zhang Shaoqing glanced back at her, muttering, “You’re just going to ignore me, huh?”

She simply didn’t want to show how down she was in front of Wen Yang.

That would make it seem like she couldn’t live without him.

“Hey! Ning Chu.” Zhang Shaoqing suddenly pulled something out of his pocket dramatically, “I went to a wedding yesterday and found a big treasure!”

“!!!”

Oh man! Are we talking about villain props again?

She still hadn’t had a chance to use that hypnosis spray!

Ning Chu quickly sprang up, leaning forward on the bed, eyes wide: “What is it?”

“Just kidding!” Zhang Shaoqing opened his hand, showing it was empty.

“……”

How childish can this guy be?

He’s just like those little boys who tease girls in elementary school.

Ning Chu rolled her eyes at Zhang Shaoqing: “You’re insane.”

But thanks to that little stunt, her mood lifted a bit.

Anyway, Wen Yang isn’t taking leave until next week. Who knows, he might change his mind and stay!

It’s better to worry about whether Wen Yang will encounter any plot twists when he goes to the cafeteria for food.

Just as that thought crossed her mind, her expression froze.

An unexpected heat flared in her lower abdomen, her face quickly turning a romantic shade of pink, her skin blushing furiously.

Oh no!

She dove back onto her bed, buried herself under the blankets, biting her lip and gripping the quilt tightly, trying to calm herself down.

Fortunately, after releasing some stress earlier, the punishment wasn’t too intense this time, and she could handle it.

“Wen Yang…”

Ning Chu clenched her teeth, enduring it.

She really should be more concerned about the sudden punishment that happens when Wen Yang’s not around!

This time she was in bed, so a little hiding under the covers worked fine, but next time? Who knew?!

She had trained Wen Yang so well that whenever he met flirty girls, he would turn them down decisively, resulting in her unintentionally ending up on the receiving end of punishments.

“Hey! Ning Chu, what do you want for lunch? Want to combine orders?”

Zhang Shaoqing leaned in closer, peeking at Ning Chu’s bed, eyeing the bulging quilt: “I saw a new place open! Want to try it for lunch?”

“……”

At this moment, Ning Chu couldn’t bring herself to speak.

If she did, her tone would definitely be sweet and coy, immediately giving away that something was off.

Now, alone with Zhang Shaoqing, who knew what this guy might do if he found out her situation…

“Wow! You’re ignoring me again!”

Zhang Shaoqing walked away disgruntled, muttering as he sat down at the computer: “I even brought you guys breakfast on purpose. If you don’t want it, fine, but to ignore me like this…”

“Hey! Wen Yang’s being hit on by a girl in the cafeteria!”

He suddenly shouted out.

“……”

“Tch!” Not seeing Ning Chu react, Zhang Shaoqing sat back down at the computer, continuing to complain.

About ten minutes later, Wen Yang returned with Ning Chu’s breakfast.

“I got you some braised noodles. Come down and eat.” He placed the breakfast on the table and turned back, reminding, “Shaoqing, I paid the electricity bill yesterday, transfer me fifty.”

“Sure. But what’s up with Ning Chu? I’ve been trying to talk to her, and she’s totally ignoring me.”

Hearing this, he finally looked toward the bed and saw Ning Chu peeking out from her blanket, her face adorably flushed.

Isn’t that a good thing?

“Come down and eat.”

“Mm.”

Ning Chu had already endured the punishment, but she was a bit worried about her ahem watermarks. Hesitating, she sat up, her feet dangling over the ladder.

She glanced at Zhang Shaoqing, who had his back to her playing on the computer, seized the opportunity, and quickly climbed off the bed.

“Whoa! You didn’t just wet the bed, did you?”

As soon as she got off, Ning Chu heard that cringe-inducing teasing.

Her body stiffened, her mind went blank.

Oh no, oh no!

But Wen Yang reacted quickly, standing right behind her to block Zhang Shaoqing’s view and immediately providing her with a good excuse: “She probably spilled some water on herself after drinking in bed, right?”

“Yeah, exactly!”

Ning Chu shot a grateful glance at Wen Yang, and under his cover, she hurriedly grabbed a pair of pants and dashed to the bathroom.

As for the watermarks on her rear… Wen Yang had seen them upright… Given their situation, she could accept that little bit of embarrassment.

Besides, Wen Yang knew her succubus identity and could understand her situation.

“Need to change pants and go to the bathroom? How troublesome.”

Wen Yang cast a glance at Zhang Shaoqing, who was still mumbling, tension still evident.

He acted nonchalantly, probing Zhang Shaoqing: “By the way, do you think Ning Chu could be a girl?”

“Have you been watching too much of your Small Royal Text or have you become interested in cross-dressers?”

Wen Yang exhaled in relief.

Even though this guy often teased Ning Chu by calling her a girl and suggesting she should go to Thailand, he clearly had no idea Ning Chu was truly a girl.

Not to mention a succubus…

Wen Yang rubbed his nose in frustration.

Aren’t succubi supposed to have sudden cravings every now and then? Why is Ning Chu having them almost every day?

Living in a boys’ dorm is way too risky.

If Zhang Shaoqing or Wang Jie finds out about this…

That cannot happen!
