Chapter 119

Chapter 119: 118. Home Tutor

From now on, if the plot is about to be disrupted, one must hide in bed or the bathroom.

That way, no matter how flushed the face gets, even if she can’t hold back and has to take matters into her own hands, at least the chances of being discovered will be lower.

Strict control of Wen Yang made it impossible for the plot to trigger… It had been tried before, and it didn’t work.

The plot would come knocking on its own!

Who would’ve thought that Yan Xinya, this random girl, could also trigger the plot? She had completely turned into a sister and even got herself a bestie.

After taking a shower and having lunch, Ning Chu looked up and saw Wen Yang eating instant noodles.

This was bulk-bought instant noodles, costing less than fifty cents for a block, and Wen Yang added an egg for himself.

He still hadn’t received his tutoring pay from yesterday, and with Wen Yang being the stingy type, he wasn’t about to skip today’s tutoring.

“Wen Yang, can I join you today? Didn’t you say you were going to class in the library?”

“You’re going too?”

“Yeah, I was going to students’ homes before, and it was really inconvenient for me. Today in the library, there shouldn’t be any issues, right?”

Wen Yang nodded without much thought, “Sure.”

If Ning Chu had been there when he met that enthusiastic high school girl yesterday, he wouldn’t have been bothered for so long.

With Wen Yang’s approval, Ning Chu’s eyes brightened, and she immediately got up from her chair, threw on her jacket, put on her shoes, and quickly got ready to leave.

Being alone in the dormitory felt awful; if Yan Xinya didn’t come today, the afternoon would probably be miserable.

She preferred being with Wen Yang over hanging out with Yan Xinya anyway.

Whenever she faced girls, she always felt a bit shy and couldn’t let loose, unlike with Wen Yang.

“Are you done eating?”

“Yeah, yeah, don’t rush me.”

Wen Yang cleaned up his bowl and put on a light windbreaker, leading the way out of the dormitory.

Ning Chu jogged to keep up with Wen Yang’s pace, “Slow down, why do you always walk so fast?”

This guy relied on his height and long legs, forcing her to jog every time just to keep up.

“Why haven’t you grown taller yet?”

“You look even shorter now.” Wen Yang glanced at Ning Chu beside him, “Lost weight?”

“Maybe?”

It was clearly a change brought on by punishment.

Ning Chu stole a glance at Wen Yang’s big hand, which could easily hold a basketball, then looked at her own petite, chubby hand…

So envious!

If only she was still a guy.

The temperature dropped significantly today, with the mercury barely reaching twenty-five degrees. It wasn’t cold, but many students were already wearing jackets on the street.

They got on the bus at the school bus stop, and the bus was only half full.

Ning Chu followed Wen Yang to an empty seat at the back and sat down, excited and alert, scanning the surroundings.

It had been a long time since she left school.

She glanced around the bus passengers, and the few women sitting at the front didn’t pose any threat. So, she turned her gaze to the scenery outside the window.

The school was located halfway up the mountain, and after leaving the student street formed by several universities, the downhill path became a bit bumpy, but the view was nice.

Ning Chu suddenly turned her head and asked Wen Yang, “Any news from Wang Jie?”

“Don’t know, didn’t he go celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday?”

“No news is good news~”

“Why do you care about him so much…”

She yawned and lazily leaned back in her seat, “Just asking casually.”

Once it hit the afternoon, her drowsiness began to set in.

“I’m going to take a nap; wake me up when we get there.”

“We still have nearly two hours, sleep slowly.”

“Okay.”

Her unmade face quickly turned calm and peaceful, eyes closed with no defenses, her head tilted back against the seat.

Wen Yang put away his phone and cast his gaze onto Ning Chu, seizing the rare chance to take in her face.

Her long, slightly curled eyelashes fluttered, and her body was fidgety as she searched for a comfortable position. Her delicate brows slightly furrowed, clearly struggling to sleep on the bus was harder than she imagined.

But the familiar, safe aroma around her deepened her drowsiness more and more.

In less than ten minutes, she fell into a deep sleep.

“Is she asleep?”

“She can sleep through anything…”

Wen Yang muttered, taking off his jacket and draping it over Ning Chu.

Now, Ning Chu had no defenses against him.

If he wanted to do something, she likely wouldn’t notice.

A suddenly floating thought filled Wen Yang with guilt; his breathing gradually grew heavier. Hesitating, his gaze settled on her innocent face, but the more he restrained himself, the more impulsive the urge to do something became.

Wen Yang swallowed hard, secretly reached out his sinful hand, and gently placed it on Ning Chu’s hand.

Cool and soft…

He carefully squeezed it.

Ning Chu’s hand felt soft and boneless, perfectly describing her delicate little hand.

Wen Yang anxiously watched Ning Chu’s expression, afraid of waking her up.

The bus took a sharp turn, and as the vehicle bumped, Ning Chu’s body leaned awkwardly, her head resting on Wen Yang’s arm.

This alarmed Wen Yang into quickly retracting his hand, pretending to look serious as he stared ahead.

“Ugh~”

Like a little cat’s soft groan, Ning Chu seemed to mistake Wen Yang’s arm for a pillow, shifting closer, comfortably resting her head on his bicep.

When his muscles weren’t tensed, the soft bounce felt more comfortable than a regular pillow.

“Can I lean on you for a while?”

Her murky and dazed voice was too soft to refuse.

“Sure.”

Wen Yang completely froze, his body rigid. He could smell Ning Chu’s rich girl scent, mingled with a hint of shampoo and body wash.

He was young and vigorous, and it had been a while since he had any release. A slightly indecent thought caused tension to rise, and he had to use his other hand to adjust the corner of the jacket covering Ning Chu so it also covered him down below.

Ning Chu’s breathing gradually steadied, and Wen Yang’s little thoughts were once again provoked.

He cautiously grabbed Ning Chu’s hand again, looking around nervously. He noticed a passenger sitting across from him giving him a teasing, friendly smile.

Look at this shy couple; they clearly just got together not long ago.

Those little movements were captured by the passenger’s eyes.

He awkwardly lowered his head, his face burning a bit.

“We’re here, wake up.”

“Ugh?!” Ning Chu jolted awake, looking confused, “Where are we?”

“It’s time to get off.”

“Oh, okay!”

Seeing Wen Yang already standing in the bus aisle, she didn’t even have time to stretch her body and hurried to catch up.

“I slept so well~” Once they got off, Ning Chu lazily yawned, rubbing her somewhat sore shoulders and muttering, “I’ve never slept this well on my bed…”

“Who told you to play with your phone before sleeping?”

Ning Chu looked up at the unfamiliar neighborhood around, “It’s got nothing to do with playing on my phone, right? Where’s the library?”

“Just ahead.” Wen Yang walked ahead, and from a distance, they could see a student standing at the library entrance, “Oh, that kid, my student.”

The middle school student noticed Wen Yang and ran over, cheerfully greeting him.

“Teacher!”

Then he looked at the little follower beside him, displeased, “Teacher, isn’t it supposed to be one-on-one tutoring? Why’d you bring a classmate with you?”

What a little troublemaker!

Can we smack him?!
