Chapter 226

Chapter 225 – Draconic Language – 3

“Wowww…….”

Parnari’s eyes sparkled as she roamed around the Imperial Palace the moment they arrived.

She gaped at the towering ceiling, which seemed several times higher than her own height, and marveled at her reflection in the golden decorations.

She appeared to be a slender-curved beauty, but her behavior resembled that of a ten-year-old child.

“You don’t look much like a dragon at all. If it weren’t for your appearance, I’d believe you were a child.”

Minerva seemed to share a similar sentiment, smiling contently beside me. When I asked why we brought her here instead of the Mage Tower, she gave a cryptic expression.

I watched Parnari bounce around the palace halls like a fish out of water, wearing just a shirt and a miniskirt, along with black stockings that climbed halfway up her thighs.

Minerva had quickly fashioned the outfit for her, insisting that she couldn’t just wear rags, but even by the standards of the world before the possession, it was quite a normal attire.

Although the length of the miniskirt was a bit too short to even cover her rear, compared to other shocking outfits, it seemed quite mild.

“Parnari?”

Parnari, who was exploring the corridors, occasionally bounced over.

“Yes… why?”

“As I mentioned before, I’d like to make a request regarding the Draconic Language. If you wish to rest a bit more, that’s fine too. You’ve sustained quite a bit of damage.”

“It’s fine… I’ve completely recovered… I’ll help you right now….”

Parnari raised her arms as if she was about to make a ta-da! sound.

“Understood. Minerva?”

With a brief tap of her staff on the ground, the three of us moved to the experimental workshop of the Mage Tower. Stepping into a space as wide as a decent garden, Parnari’s eyes sparkled once again.

“Then I’ll make my request right away.”

“You just need to teach me how to use the Draconic Language…?”

“For now, yes. I’ll have another request later, but that will be once I can fully control the Draconic Language.”

“Got it….”

Suddenly, Parnari began to strip off her clothes.

She tore off the buttons that seemed about to burst from pressing against her chest and unbuttoned her shirt. The miniskirt that was barely covering her rear slid down her thighs.

Finally, she slipped her hand inside her stockings. As her body wasn’t fully formed, she wasn’t wearing any underwear, so her shirt, miniskirt, and stockings were all she had.

I quickly shifted my gaze, flustered.

“Why are you suddenly undressing…?”

“Dragons… don’t wear clothes….”

“That may be true, but Parnari, you’re human right now?”

“Draconic… is the language of dragons… I need to get as close to being a dragon as possible….”

“…Then isn’t it better to transform into a dragon without removing your clothes? No, it’s more accurate to say you’re returning to your original form.”

I was always curious why Parnari didn’t transform into a dragon. She died in her human form, even getting backstabbed by a player without ever transforming.

Was there some sort of belief or particular reason behind it?

In the game, it never explained the reason and didn’t leave any clues, leading to wild baseless speculations.

“……”

Parnari rolled her eyes, looking as if she was thoroughly flustered. Her hand, which was pulling down her stockings, suddenly paused near her knee.

After some hesitation, she opened her mouth stammeringly.

“Um… actually… I forgot how to return to being a dragon… and now I can’t go back….”

What an unexpected reason. I froze in place, dumbfounded. Parnari was utterly baffled, while Minerva was chuckling softly.

“…You forgot how to return to being a dragon?”

“Yes… I tried transforming into a human once… and it was so comfortable… so I just stayed in human form… and forgot how to go back….”

“Oh… right. You’ll remember eventually. It’s alright. I’m sure you’ll figure it out later.”

I was barely pulled out of my stunned state, while Parnari hesitantly finished taking off her stockings. Although she was completely naked, I felt no arousal whatsoever.

Part of it was due to the overwhelming shock earlier, and also because her body resembled a mannequin with human skin rather than a human.

Now that Parnari was naked, she spread her arms wide.

“Come… closer to me….”

As I approached her, Parnari moved closer to me as well. Since our heights were almost the same, our eyes met. Parnari, pressed between us, asked.

“What do you think… Draconic Language is…?”

It was a question I had also heard in the game. I recited the answer I remembered verbatim.

“It’s a language that can contain power or concepts depending on the need.”

Draconic Language is, as the term implies, the language used by dragons. But unlike human language, the most significant difference is that it can embed power or concepts according to the user’s will.

If a human were to tell a steel wall to break a hundred times, it wouldn’t break, but for a dragon, that would be possible.

“Exactly… since Draconic Language is a type of language… the best way to understand a language is… to try it out yourself….”

“Try it out? How?”

“You just have to move as I do….”

Suddenly, Parnari grabbed my face and pulled me towards her. At a glance, it looked like she was roughly yanking me, but since she was a dragon, her strength was unrivaled.

As our lips were about to meet.

“That’s enough for now.”

A glowing blue wall appeared between our faces. Parnari bumped her forehead against it while the light flowing from the barrier gently pushed me back, allowing me to escape safely.

It was Minerva. She approached Parnari, who was rubbing her forehead with a pouty face, and me, who was still dazed.

“Why the wall…?”

Parnari looked utterly aggrieved. With a physical spec like a dragon, bumping her head against a wall surely wouldn’t hurt, but judging by her expression, it seemed genuinely painful.

“Do you not know what it means for humans to press their lips together, Parnari?”

“No… what does it mean…?”

“Having lived as a human for so long, you know nothing about this, huh?”

“I’ve lived long as a human… but nobody came to see me… so I don’t know…”

Given that her small house was built amidst a poisonous swamp teeming with monsters and surrounded by enormous trees like castle walls, wasn’t it a bit greedy to expect humans to come visit?

“Since that’s the case, let me enlighten you. For humans, pressing lips together signifies a special emotion between them, so remember that well.”

“Special emotion…?”

Parnari tilted her head, then suddenly nodded with an “Ah!”

“I’ve heard that before… it means wanting to mate, right…?”

“……”

Minerva, usually calm and composed, displayed a rare expression of surprise. It was quite an achievement to elicit such a reaction from her.

Seeing our expressions, Parnari, who had been tilting her head again, seemed to have an idea and reached out her hand to Minerva.

“Hold my hand….”

“Why do you want to do that?”

“I can… accept knowledge… it’ll be much better….”

After a moment’s hesitation, Minerva extended her hand. Parnari took it and closed her eyes, showing the same expression she had when healing my wounds.

How long did this last? Parnari opened her eyes as she released Minerva’s hand.

“Okay. You can let go now.”

The way she spoke had become much more polished. The trailing words and droopy expression had completely vanished.

“You’ve lived for quite some time for a human, haven’t you? I’m a little surprised.”

“Your way of speaking changed.”

“I accepted your knowledge. Ah, you don’t need to worry. I didn’t touch any of your achievements or research. Taking those would be impolite after all. I just comprehended human ‘common sense.’”

To say she comprehended common sense was a bit dubious, especially since she showed no signs of embarrassment while standing naked in front of me. Did she still think it was okay because she was a dragon?

“I’ve now understood what it means to kiss among humans. No wonder you looked like that. I had completely misunderstood.”

“I’m relieved that you realized even now.”

“So here’s the thing, Minerva… right? I’ll teach you, so would you like to try it yourself? It may take more time, but there’s no surer way than this.”

“……What does that mean? Just so you know, I have no interest in kissing another woman.”

“Dragons don’t have genders, but that’s not what I meant. First, I’ll speak the Draconic Language. Then you just have to mimic the shape of my lips. The man over there won’t work, but you can do it, right?”

“That’s correct.”

“You’ll transfer the mimicked shape of the lips to that man when you kiss him. How does that sound? Easy, right?”

Minerva’s expression turned complicated.

“Didn’t you just say you understood what kissing meant a moment ago, Parnari?”

Parnari tilted her head in return.

“That’s why I asked! You’re intending to mate with that man—”

Before she could finish, Minerva swiftly cast a spell that sealed Parnari’s mouth.

It seemed she was trying to say something, but the spell overlapped with her words, and I only caught “that man.” Had knowledge been shared while realizing something more?

Parnari, struggling to lift the spell sealing her lips, finally gestured for Minerva to release it. Minerva smiled mischievously and freed her from the binding.

Freed, Parnari quickly adjusted her words.

“I understand. Then let’s use another method.”
