Chapter 172

[【Worlds Truck Simulator】Running hard! Today’s goal is to become the world’s best truck driver! #KainohIzumi#StarsFlow]

“This game feels strange, doesn’t it…? Ah, no matter how I think about it, it’s weird…”

– The strange part is Mei-chan’s driving skills…

– How many people has she already sent to another world…?

– Please just let me down now.

Let’s think seriously. What happened while playing World’s Truck today?

Right after starting the game, I collided with a car and crashed into the guardrail, flipping the truck over.

Then, while driving normally, the moment I turned my view back for a second, the truck tipped over.

I was just following the navigation’s instructions, but suddenly I was driving on the wrong side of the road. Then I collided with another truck coming from the opposite direction and tipped over.

Aside from that, the truck probably tipped over another three times or so.

“…Why?”

– You really don’t know the reason?

– Mei-chan should never drive again…

– If this girl is driving, the whole world is at risk.

“Why does everyone keep saying I’m the bad one? Let’s think about it logically…”

Isn’t the truck driver a literally universe-level ultra cute girl like me?

“Isn’t my path the right one? After all, I’m the main, main character of this game…”

If I’m driving the wrong way, that place becomes the right way, and if I get into an accident, it’s obviously the opponent’s fault.

So I’m not bad. The game is the one that’s wrong.

Logical proof complete. In professional terms, that’s Q.E.D.

Even though I reached that conclusion, somehow none of the Izutomos agreed with me.

– This requires an apology to all truck drivers around the world.

– We really are in this together until death…

– No matter how I think about it, it’s Nekoto-chan’s fault for recommending this game.

– This girl doesn’t understand the essence of this game at all.

Why is it that, despite this being my broadcast, I have no one on my side?

Izutomos should be supporting me unconditionally in any situation…!

“Uuuh…”

No, deep down I already knew. Most of the Izutomos are abusive towards me.

If I ask for support in such a situation, these guys would just further torment me.

I actually know that it’s better to go out confidently during times like this.

“Ah, the repairs are done….”

With the notification that the truck was repaired, my view returned to the driver’s seat of the truck.

“Yes, that’s right… All the mistakes I made until now are all because of the Izutomos…”

– ?

– Isn’t that a bit much? lol

– I’m disappointed in Mei-chan… I want to change my favorite…

– I’ll unsubscribe.

“Whaaaaaat?! J-Just kidding! It was a joke!”

Panic-stricken at the sudden drop in subscriber numbers, thankfully the numbers quickly returned to normal.

As expected of the Izutomos. They say that, but everyone is nice…

Anyway, after the small commotion passed, I decided to continue the game.

This time, I planned to proceed as safely as possible using all the previous accidents as a lesson.

Even if I said that earlier, the fact that an accident happened due to my mistake can’t be denied.

– You’re definitely much more skilled than before.

– Mei-chan, aren’t you planning to do Build Craft?

“B-Build Craft…?”

Should I call it the advantage of World’s Truck or a feature?

Since it’s a game that doesn’t require deep focus, I tend to chat continuously with the Izutomos to keep the sound from going quiet.

Basically, my broadcasts aren’t chat-focused unless it’s a chatting stream, and I rarely go over an hour with those.

Thus, the ability to communicate steadily while playing World’s Truck yielded surprisingly good reactions.

However, there was a huge downside to that: my already poor communication stamina could drop rapidly.

At this moment, I kind of want to take a 10-minute break…

Speaking of which, Build Craft.

Build Craft is a sandbox survival genre game.

If I just say that, you might ask if it’s similar to Gray City, which I played before, but they are completely different games despite having similar genres.

How should I explain this…

Ultimately, Gray City’s core element is survival, while the rest are supplementary features, but Build Craft’s core, as you can tell from its name, is construction.

Of course, there are monsters in Build Craft too, and you can die, but that’s just a device to raise the game’s tension.

The most basic content is stacking various buildings using Build Craft’s unique cute and charming block graphics.

Because of that, it’s easy to heal a tired mind, and due to the sandbox genre’s characteristics, there’s a lot of freedom and various enjoyable aspects.

Moreover, being able to gather and have fun on the server makes it a somewhat essential game in the VTuber industry, where networking is crucial, meaning for a long time, Build Craft has consistently ranked as one of the most popular games among VTubers.

“Ah, I actually got a suggestion from Utsumi-chan the other day…”

I’m sure it was before collaborating with Tsurusaki-chan off-stream.

– It’s definitely trending in Stars Flow with Build Craft lately.

– Mei-chan, you’ve never streamed Build Craft, have you?

– Saku-chan has already joined Kuroken.

As stated in the chatroom, Build Craft had been trending among the members of Stars Flow lately.

To be precise, there had been consistent Build Craft broadcasts, but with the debut of the third-generation Atlas, it seemed to have reignited interest, if that makes sense?

Yet, I was the only member of Stars Flow who had never streamed Build Craft even once.

And even though I replied to Utsumi-chan’s suggestion saying I’d think about it, I didn’t particularly plan to play it.

The reason is obvious… there are too many people…

Yeah… even when the third generation wasn’t around, there were too many people, and now with the third generation added in, we have a whopping 16 members…?

Of course, all the members of Stars Flow are friendly, and they’d probably be happy if I jumped in, but still, I feel awkward in games where everyone gathers…

Gray City and Jelly Killer were also games played together, but both have a different feel.

Gray City often feels much like a survival game, allowing you to enjoy it enough even solo, while Jelly Killer is a competitive game.

But Build Craft certainly does not carry the solo enjoyment feel, nor is it competitive…

If I happen to play Build Craft, it’s obvious I’d find a secluded corner away so deep that no one could join me to build various structures alone, blissfully unaware of reality until I come to and become disheartened.

And the Izutomos would see that and start typing in the chat, “Please play with the other members…” and post reactions like, “Why is my favorite doing this…” in the community.

Then, threads on the anti thread would begin to sprout stories like, “Stars Flow discord rumors,” and I, the one causing trouble, would end up graduating…

“Uuuaaaah…”

– Did she just suddenly lose hope?!

– Focus on driving, Mei-chan!

“Ah, yes…”

For those reasons, I won’t be doing Build Craft.

I’ll be doing my Tete-a-tete sales things solo!

Now, focusing back on World’s Truck.

Just as I had that thought, the traffic light turned from yellow to red, and I slowly stepped on the brake pedal…

“Eh?”

Accidentally stepping on the accelerator, I rammed into the four cars in front of me that were trying to stop.

– LOL

– Aaaaahhhhhh

– This is a major accident.

– I’m sorry to everyone who got sent to another world because of Mei-chan.

– It’s a terrible accident.

– Did the passenger car in the front just fly away…?

– What have I done?

– Do you not know how to hit the brakes?

– A disaster…

– Has a car found a way to fly? Is the significance of airplanes gone now?

“…”

Huh? I think I might get something…

– Words have disappeared.

– Is she mourning for those who died because of her mistake?

– A reflective moment.

– But even so, that was a bit too much…

“…I thought about it, this game… isn’t it more fun to play like this?!”

– Huh?

– What do you mean by that?

– You weren’t reflecting…?

– Just transport normally!

– Don’t change the game’s genre!

“No. No matter how I think about it, it’s definitely, definitely way more fun than just transporting normally…”

– This girl’s thinking is dangerous. LOL

– What made Mei-chan like this?

Realizing this huge fact, I began ramming into all the cars blocking my way as I followed the navigation.

The result of my first transport was, of course, a perfect deficit.

“…This game, indeed, is a weird game…”

– No, the weird one is definitely Mei-chan…

[Kainoh Izumi: Isn’t it more fun to play World’s Truck this way?]

[Koga Suzuha: If you want to play that kind of game, shouldn’t you rather play GTC (Grand Theft Car)?]

[Aki Nekoto: It was fun to watch, so it’s alright.]

[Utsumi Ayaka: Is it really okay…?]

[Akabane Yukari: It was definitely funny, though.]
