How much time has passed?
I’d just finished dismantling it for the second time and storing it in the item box, which had a larger capacity, when I suddenly heard a squeal from nearby.
When I looked over there, I saw a small boar running towards me.
It doesn’t stop the momentum and bites me.
Honestly, it doesn’t hurt at all. I pay that guy off with a bang and my right hand.
But then it gets up again and keeps hitting me.
No matter how many times I paid it, that guy kept getting up and confronting me.
“Oh, you’re …….”
Then I realize. This is the child of the big boar that I killed.
Maybe this guy is trying to avenge its parents in its own way.
I turn one hand toward the boar. At this level, lower level magic is sufficient.
“It must be hard living in a lonely world with a vengeance.”
That’s when I made a fireball in my palm and was about to fire it at the big boar.
Someone grabbed me by the leg with a crunch.
There’s only one person here besides me.
“What are you doing, Earlv?”
I didn’t look at her and threw her a few pointed words.
“That’s my line, Rox. What are you doing?”
With those words I turn around and look at her.
Although she had regained consciousness, Earlv was still staring at me as she laid her body down, as if she still couldn’t fully raise her body.
You crawled all the way to me. That’s a lot of guts.
“Don’t you see it yourself?”
“I know that. But in my eyes, it’s the work of the devil to reap life needlessly.”
Huh, I sighed.
“Listen. If we leave it alone, it’ll grow up to be like that big boar and become our enemy. Look at its eyes, it hates us so much.”
The boar I’m pointing at is staring at us, looking angry and snorting.
“Let vengeance take its course now. It is the best thing to do.”
I shook off Earlv’s hand and tried to release my magic, but this time a trace of electricity rushed through my body.
“Did you hear what I just said?”
“In the name of Nina Yuresh, I will not tolerate needless killing.”
I held my head as Earlv tried to force me to stop with her master’s authority.
This stubborn princess, how can I explain it to you?
“What are you gonna do?”
A little irritated, I asked Earlv, and she looked me straight in the eye and replied.
“I’m going to raise it like its parents did.”
What do you think you’re talking about, raising a monster child!
“Do you even know what you’re saying?”
“I know. If you’re saying that if we leave it alone, it’ll become an enemy, then we can make it one of us now.”
No, no, no, it’s easy to say. But I’ve never heard of monsters being fond of people.
“I can’t. You can’t.”
“You will never know unless you try. If you treat it with your heart, it will understand your feelings.”
She’s not backing down. Good grief.
“Alright, do whatever you want.”
In any case, no matter what I say here, if it doesn’t work, it’s best to let her do what she wants and have it give up. No matter how many times you are hit by a small boar, you will not die anyway.
Hearing this, Earlv looked at the boar with a satisfied expression.
When she tells ut that, it gets angry and hits her in the face with its body.
That’s what I mean.
But Earlv is not disheartened and turns her smile to the boar.
The boar continues to body slam into Earlv over and over again, just as it did to me.
No matter how many times Earlv is physically attacked by the boar, she never tries to fight back and continues to accept the boar all the time.
In the meantime, the boar’s physical strength may have run out, and it stopped when it landed a light body blow on Earlv’s face.
Seizing the opportunity, Earlv slowly embraces the boar.
“I am not your enemy. So please calm down and listen.”
The boar flailed in Earlv’s arms, but it didn’t seem to have enough strength left to escape her embrace, and eventually it grew quiet.
After confirming this, Earlv speaks in a slow tone.
“I don’t ask for your forgiveness. But let me tell you this.”
Then, looking into the eyes of the boar in her hands, she murmured in a fading voice.
A large tear rolls down her cheek.
“It’s hard, isn’t it? It’s lonely. Losing your mom and dad.”
Then the boar, who had been looking at her as if it hated her, changed its expression to one of slight confusion.
Then the boar gave a squeak and licked her tears away with a flick of his tongue.
“It’s okay. You’re the one who needs to cry.”
And Earlv hugs the boar tightly.
Then the boar, which had only been rampaging up until now, began to squeal loudly in Earlv’s arms.
Are the monsters …… crying?
I couldn’t hide my own agitation at the sight of it for the first time.
“If it makes you feel any better, I’ll take it all.”
The moment Earlv said those words to the boar, the boar’s body began to emit light.
“What the hell is this?”
The boar, enveloped in a dazzling light in Earlv’s arms, eventually took that light into itself.
Then, with another purr, it popped out of Earlv’s arms and landed on her head with a thud.
This is why I could clearly see that although the appearance of the boar was the same as that of the previous boars, a bruise like a heart mark was clearly formed on the part of the forehead between the eyes. I’m sure there was no such thing earlier.
The boar is rubbing up against Earlv’s cheek and jumping up and down while squealing happily with “Piggy, piggy.” No way is this …….
“I told you. If you treat them with your heart, they’ll know how you feel, Rox.”
I’ve been alive for 17 years and this is the first time I’ve seen someone tame a monster. I mean, am I the only one who thinks this is unheard of?
