Chapter 22

This is my third time streaming as ‘Your Holiness.’

You could still say I’m a beginner with a very brief streaming experience. I still don’t know much about streaming, but at least I’ve learned one thing for sure.

Viewers are like a pack of hyenas, ready to tear the streamer apart at the slightest opportunity.

– Boomers lol

– But you did sound like a real boomer just now.

– Guess you are old enough.

– Auntie is acting her age.

– Boomer Pope.

I stared at the rapidly climbing chat box, feeling unjustly accused.

‘Me, a boomer….’

Every time I start a stream, I seem to add another nickname, and today was no different.

However, this time it was truly a slur. “Auntie,” at least had some basis, but this one was just ridiculous.

“I understand you’re angry, but please refrain from using inappropriate expressions. Besides, I am not old.”

They called me a boomer, and I was corrected to ‘old person.’

In other words, the auto-correction recognized an insult so bad that it attached a lousy nickname to me. It was completely unfair.

“I was just doing what had to be done as a Pope for our Order and the faithful.”

What would people think if our Order’s members walked around looking a mess? They’d surely think we were a low-tier Order.

Moreover, if they dressed revealingly, it could lead to misunderstandings of being promiscuous.

So, I gave them a sharp talk.

“Do you understand what I mean? It wasn’t for my sake; it was a reasonable advice given for the young Priestesses.”

After fervently defending myself, I looked at the chat. By this point, everyone should have been convinced.

– Auntie boomer.

– Typical boomer move.

“……”

Since there are many teens and twenties in the audience, it seemed my sincerity didn’t quite get through.

I could understand well enough. I used to think the advice from adults was just meaningless nagging at that age, too.

‘Guess there’s no helping it.’

I had plenty to say, but there wasn’t enough time for a debate. Even now, the time limit on ‘Gentle Spring Sunshine’ was running out.

I needed to soothe the angry Chairman Havant, but I’d save that for later. I had to quickly see the early story within the remaining time.

“Then let’s continue.”

I moved my neglected alter ego, the young Eluke Pope. The destination was the point marked with ‘!’ on the map.

It wasn’t far, so it didn’t take long to get there.

[Entrance to the Temple of Starlight]

When I arrived at the temple entrance, waiting for me was a young Priestess dressed in a modest, non-revealing robe.

[Bishop Christina Bailin]

“That’s a historical inaccuracy.”

I tried to get through as quickly as possible, but I couldn’t let it slide, so I spoke up.

“How can someone this young be a Bishop? A Bishop should be at least in their early forties to hold that position.”

Even if they were praised highly, someone this young should only be a healing Priest at the very best. The title of Bishop was absurd.

They should have made her just a bit older for accuracy. I was going to say that when a donation notification interrupted me.

[Viewer Gamja has donated 1,000 won]

– But Your Holiness is in your mid-thirties, right?

“Ah, well….”

I tried to explain, but another donation came in. It was a familiar username.

[Evil Ginger has donated 1,000 won]

– Please tell me you’re not 63 instead of 36? Whoa.

Seo-yoon was up to her old tricks again.

“Liam, please temporarily block the user who just donated for ten minutes.”

I couldn’t let malicious users run rampant.

Assigning the task to the chat moderator who was a former Hero, I glanced at the chat. I immediately frowned.

– Are you really 63?

– Momzillian lol.

– If you’re an auntie, we’re underestimating you.

– No wonder they say you’re too young for a Pope.

Seo-yoon’s prank was causing quite a stir. I hurriedly spoke before the misunderstanding grew uncontrollably.

“Bishops are chosen for their experience, but positions above them can be determined by skill and faith. I am indeed 36 years old.”

I didn’t even know why I was explaining this, but I rushed to clarify.

Fortunately, the misunderstanding didn’t escalate further. Though, that didn’t exactly make me joyfully happy about being called ‘Auntie Pope’ again.

“I will continue. Please focus.”

I calmed the overly chatty chat room filled with elementary school-level chaos and addressed the young Bishop.

[“You’ve arrived? The Young Pope Eluke, your help is just what I need. May I ask you something?”]

“That’s a historical inaccuracy.”

I tried not to interrupt, but it was too annoying, so I ended up speaking again.

“You’re being overly courteous to a regular Priest. It’s good to show respect with honorifics, but isn’t it too excessive?”

Every few seconds, something that didn’t sit well with me popped up. There were more discrepancies with reality than I expected, and it was a little uncomfortable.

[Viewer Arena Regular has donated 30,000 won]

– Just hurry up and move on, please.

SDVIMVFoanVzY1YwSVhjamMzUkt1VGJsTlBBR2JlcDNMbXB2YUUrWHVRWWJhU3N3ZTBMTUgyaEUvdVVqcWFRTw

“Yes, understood. That’s exactly what I planned on doing.”

My discomfort was quickly alleviated. Thirty thousand won was a sufficient amount to express some tolerance over any error.

I continued reading the dialogue. After speeding through unnecessary chatter, the Bishop gave me a quest.

[“Please walk around the village and bestow the blessing of starlight on those in need.”]

It was a simple quest requiring just following the markers on the mini-map. It seemed they were giving me an easy task since it was the beginning.

The reward was a basic skill.

[Reward]

– Skill: Blessing of Vigor

Since the story couldn’t progress if I refused, I accepted immediately and headed out of the temple.

The real game began now.

I planned to play with as much fun as I could, aiming to draw out plenty of laughter… but that didn’t last long.

Suuu…

The halo that had been glowing behind my head faded away with a soft sound. The duration had ended, and it naturally turned off.

It disappeared sooner than I expected, but it wasn’t problematic. ‘Gentle Spring Sunshine’ was initially a Sacred Spell that drained a lot of Sacred Power.

Plus, it had been strained to function due to preventing 3D motion sickness, so it couldn’t help but deplete quickly.

“I’m afraid it’s time to wrap it up.”

I hurriedly quit the game before motion sickness hit. As expected, viewers couldn’t hide their confusion.

– What did you do that it’s ending already?

– Just spoiled things without actually playing lol.

– ??

– Is this really how it ends?

– Shouldn’t we avoid 3D games?

– Filshik is going to cry.

Everyone had lots of complaints. As much as their expectations rose, it seemed their disappointment was just as great.

I felt just as upset as they did. Who knew I’d be this vulnerable to 3D?

[havant has donated 1,000 won]

– At the level of the weakest.

Then, Havant, who had been furious for a while, attacked me with a small donation. I awkwardly bowed my head.

“Everyone, I truly apologize. I’ll continue next time. I promise to be thoroughly prepared for that occasion to prevent situations like this from happening again.”

As I apologized, I took a quick glance at the chat.

Fortunately, the atmosphere in the chat seemed to understand my situation. Well, it wouldn’t be right to force someone suffering from motion sickness to continue playing.

It turned out to be just the right time to wrap up the broadcast.

But before that, I had to calm the Chairman down first. After all, he was a model viewer who would consistently donate.

For the sake of our Order’s operational funds and the snack money for the girls, I had to win back Havant’s heart.

How could I do that? I pondered briefly before slowly speaking up.

“Mr. Havant, now that I think about it, I still haven’t repaid you for the one million won you gave.”

As I casually opened my mouth, the viewers began to chuckle and chatter.

– Again?

– Starting the process of immortalization lol.

– Havant is getting nervous.

– This time, let’s inscribe it into space.

They all seemed to have similar thoughts. It looked like they were anticipating a shocking service like last time, where I engraved his name in the sky.

I thought about doing it one more time, but unfortunately, it had become somewhat difficult now.

“Sending thanks to the sky is not possible. I promised to refrain from doing anything we can’t handle.”

In the negotiation with Hainha, I agreed to hold on tightly to Liam’s leash in exchange for receiving everything I wanted.

So, I couldn’t pull off a huge event that would rock the nation. Of course, small events were entirely possible.

“In that case, I’d like to offer a more personal benefit.”

I let it linger for a moment and wore a meaningful smile.

“Mr. Havant, how about having dinner with me?”

A one-person fan meeting.

It was a tailored benefit solely for Havant.

‘He should like it.’

Havant was already famous for showering game streamers with money.

But for some reason, he had donated a vast sum to me right from my first stream and continued to watch my broadcasts.

Why was he treating me this well? The answer was simple. He was charmed by me.

In simple terms, he was my fan.

Honestly, a fan meeting was a little nerve-wracking, but if he liked me that much, I had to agree to it.

‘But I have a husband….’

Maybe Liam would get jealous. But if I said it was work, couldn’t he just let it slide?

I always felt that having someone who cheers for me and goes wild was quite a pleasant thing.

I tried to suppress the creeping smile while patiently waiting for a response. Then finally, Havant replied.

[havant has donated 1,000 won]

– I actually want to meet the Hero, not you.

“……”

For a moment, my eyes blinked in disbelief at what the donation said.

It took a while for me to process what I just heard. Though, the absurdity of it didn’t change.

“…You want to meet Liam?”

Skipping over me for Liam. What could possibly be appealing about that former Hero, good-for-nothing loser?

It was ridiculous enough to make me chuckle.

– Look at her face lol.

– Auntie Pope is shocked.

– Hahaha.

– Auntie, you’re quite the charmer.

Amidst the viewers’ ridicule and mockery, a message from Liam appeared in the chat.

[(☆)riamclytia: This dude’s popularity…]

Liam’s smug face came to mind, and I frowned. He was likely going to brag about this, making me feel even worse.

But as the Pope, I had to maintain my composure in unexpected situations.

I quickly donned a calm smile and nodded.

“Understood. I will arrange a dinner date for you soon.”

Surprising events unfolded, but regardless, it seemed I succeeded in calming Havant’s anger.

I sighed in relief and muttered quickly.

“Any problems, conflicts, accidents, injuries, bleeding, dizziness, nausea, mental trauma, and material losses that arise from meeting my husband will not be my responsibility and will be entirely borne by you, Mr. Havant. Are you still sure?”

You had to get consent before engaging in risky endeavors.
