Chapter 135

Chapter 135 – The War of Beliefs (5)

“A… aaah…”

It was the moment when Elysia, instructed by Yggdrasil, arrived at the company Rana Land located in the fairy world. Rana, already accustomed to such situations, felt dizzy upon seeing Elysia looking at her and stumbled while holding the back of her neck.

“I believed that coming here would solve everything. That’s what I understood, no, I was given a revelation.”

“What exactly does that mean…”

Rana was flabbergasted hearing Elysia’s words. It was the first time she learned that a Magical Girl could exist in this world who would meet Yggdrasil and come to the company on her own, without even being scouted by the fairies because Yggdrasil had given Elysia a gag order.

“This is quite surprising. Let’s head this way for now.”

Welcoming Elysia, Rana’s mind was racing. It was her decision to invest in Takilas and Rene, who had come along with Takilas.

However, there were just as many troublesome aspects as there were benefits brought by those special beings. Because of this, Rana did not actually want to receive any more Magical Girls.

‘…Maybe it’s better not to mention it.’

Rana refrained from talking to Elysia about Takilas or Rene, unsure of her reaction upon hearing about the “Demon King” since Elysia had already revealed that she was a Saint.

“The Fairy Company supports and helps the activities of Magical Girls. We dispatch mascots to assist Magical Girls in adapting to their powers and ecosystem so they can realize true justice.”

“True justice… that won’t be a problem. Spreading the laws of the Celestial Realm, which is true justice itself, is my duty and mission.”

With a confident face, Elysia nodded. It was surprising for Rana to see this otherworldly Magical Girl show such pure enthusiasm, unlike Takilas, who was busy playing around, or Rene, who studied and analyzed rules to find loopholes.

‘Maybe this will be alright.’

Even though she had provoked such a major incident as the disbanding of the Magical Girls from the company, Rana thought it would be good if Elysia respected the company, just like Rene.

Elysia was extremely respectful toward Rana.

‘It was definitely like this. I just have to do things as usual.’

Of course, Elysia’s values regarding justice stemmed solely from her heart as a Saint, but Yggdrasil had asserted that this would not violate any major principles.

“Then let’s have you become a Magical Girl and go to Earth. I will assign you a mascot.”

“Yes.”

Rana personally opened a Dimension Gate for Elysia. At the same time, she watched as Elysia pressed the connector and transformed.

“…This is unbelievable.”

Rana was astonished. Elysia, after completing her transformation, was adorned in an attire she had never seen before.

“Isn’t that… uncomfortable?”

“Not particularly. It’s sturdy and high-quality armor.”

Rana gaped in shock at the armor Elysia wore, which was noticeably different from that of other Magical Girls. It didn’t look like ordinary armor.

This shining plate armor enveloped her body without any visible gaps. The only exposed skin was above her neck and her face, while the rest looked like a knight wrapped in silver armor that fit her body perfectly.

The armor had various locking devices and padlocks. This armor, which the wearer could not take off themselves, represented the values of the Saint Elysia who had become a Magical Girl.

‘What a crazy nutcase…?!’

Rana broke into a cold sweat. The attire of a Magical Girl reflects their values and sincerity. The more suppressed they are, the more revealing the attire tends to be, and if their words and actions lack moderation, the attire becomes more robust.

Even Rene, who pretended to be a demure princess while harboring a hidden desire for immense power, showcased her psychology through deep side slits and a low-cut neckline. The attire exactly recognizes the identity of the Magical Girl.

Thus, to Rana, Elysia now appeared as an extreme fanatic with an outrageously revealing outfit, as if only barely covering her sensitive parts.

“Is there a problem?”

“Ah, no. Absolutely… no problem.”

Yet, saying “Wow, you’re an unimaginable crazy nutcase!” right to her face was out of the question.

Rana closed her eyes tight in despair at the realization that the Magical Girl she was now responsible for was ultimately a bomb.

“Manager Yuria, if you don’t mind, keep an eye on her and ‘Shia’ as well. They are the karmas that you and I must bear forever.”

“…Yes.”

Rana summoned Manager Yuria, who, like her, understood the situation, and tasked her with monitoring Elysia.

She knew that the current state of affairs on Earth was unstable in various ways.

Especially with Takilas, who moves at will and has no intention of staying in one place, chaos was also occurring outside the Korean Peninsula.

At that moment, one more monster from another world with a skewed extremist nature and unknown powers was descending upon Earth.

Rana couldn’t even guess what kind of events would unfold around her.

‘What on earth is Yggdrasil thinking?’

One thing was certain: Elysia had met Yggdrasil. The fairy race, which had long forgotten how to communicate, could not fathom what thoughts that great cosmic tree held.

‘Even though I feel uneasy, it’s still right to send her to Korea. Takilas will handle it well.’

Rana bit her lip while watching Elysia’s figure as she was moving through the air via a floating screen. The location where the Dimension Gate opened was above the Korean Peninsula. She believed that despite being reckless, Takilas, who was efficient at handling matters, would manage things just like Rene.

“I’ve roughly heard your circumstances, girl from another world! This is Earth, where you’ll be active and build your achievements!”

“Wow…”

The gateway Rana opened was floating above the sky.

The new Magical Girl Shia, with the tiger plush Tigger on her shoulder, soared the skies, her light sky-blue hair blowing in the wind as it changed from short to long.

The late afternoon sun bathed her silver armor in a sunset hue. Ecstatic at flying for the first time, Shia marveled at the tops of the clouds and sky she was seeing for the first time in her life.

At least when seen from this angle, she looked like an ordinary teenage girl befitting her outer appearance.

“Ahem! Do you see the land down there? That will be our activity area.”

Tigger pointed with his paw at the far-off Korean Peninsula. Following that directive, she began heading toward that direction.

‘Is there really a place like this?’

Everything was astonishing to her, having lived in a completely different world. The sky, the land visible below, and even the huge jumbo jet cutting through the clouds.

“What in the world is that massive castle in the sky? I can sense the presence of people inside!”

“W-Wait! Where are you trying to go? That’s an airplane! Just a flying metal chunk!”

Tigger, horrified by Shia’s action as she unconsciously leaned toward the airplane, yanked at her hair to correct her direction.

Nevertheless, her gaze remained glued to the airplane.

“Let’s just move on! That thing is extremely common in this world!”

“No. In that fleeting moment, I felt something unpleasant from inside that sky castle.”

“Well, if that’s the case, then it’s probably the ‘evil’ energy that Magical Girls can sense. But how did you notice it this quickly?!”

Tigger was convinced that what she sensed was the essence of evil as soon as she mentioned it.

Evil. At the utterance of that word, Shia’s eyes shifted. The pure teenage girl who was fascinated by everything vanished, replaced by the cold, shining eyes of a Saint inheriting the laws of the Celestial Realm.

For them, evil is something that must be judged. Purifying evil and using its grandeur and dignity to awaken the ignorant is the mission of the Church.

“W-Where are you going?!”

“I cannot leave evil behind.”

Shia altered her direction and began chasing the airplane still flying westward.

Holy power erupted from her entire body, enveloping her, soon manifesting as a massive pair of wings that flapped behind her.

“Waaah…”

With that, she rapidly accelerated, instantly surpassing the sound barrier as she pursued the aircraft. Only Tigger, clinging to her shoulder, was yelping in horror.

Finally, Shia caught up with the airplane and landed on top of it.

“No! No! You can’t tear it apart! The people inside will…”

Before Tigger could finish his warning, she drove both her gloved hands through the ceiling and tore it apart.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize, but we cannot change your seats right now…”

“Is that really what you should be saying?! Do you have no common sense?! The child is in pain, you idiot!!”

Inside the plane, a scene unfolded that would make anyone frown.

A middle-aged woman was throwing a tantrum, demanding to be moved to a higher-class seat so her sick child could rest.

To the veteran flight attendants, such troublesome customers were not uncommon. Even though it was infuriating, they had to deal with it appropriately.

“Ah!”

But the moment it exceeded the level of verbal abuse and escalated into physical assault, things changed. Other flight attendants rushed in to subdue this unruly customer as she thrived in chaos.

Everyone was tired, but they believed that this would come to an end. This troublesome passenger would receive appropriate punishment after they arrive at their destination, and the airplane would reach its destination safely.

Compared to other incidents, it should have been trivial. It should have been.

“…Huh?”

With a cracking sound, before anyone realized, a finger pierced through the ceiling of the cabin they were in.
