Chapter 837

“I figured it out.”

Rasty’s laboratory.

It had only been 3 minutes since I brought the Female Zombie to Rasty, and I had extracted all the necessary information.

Rasty handed me a few neatly organized sheets of paper containing quite useful information.

“Faster than I expected.”

“It flowed out easily.”

But she was very hostile towards me, showing her resistance.

Perhaps it was because the opponent shared a similar level of power that her vigilance seemed to have eased.

‘Of course, even if she resisted, the outcome would have been the same.’

“Just as I thought, she’s indeed a Leader Individual.”

The Male Zombie is named Avid, and the Female Zombie is Rain, both regarded as Leader Individuals in their base at the “Mountain of the Dead.”

They possess the power to command the undead, earning them the reverence of their comrades.

“The ‘Mountain of the Dead’ hosts low, mid, upper, and top-tier undead. The number of low-tier undead is 7 million…”

[Seven million?]

[What?]

[Huh?]

[Rasty unnie is so pretty!]

[Hahahahahahahahaha]

[Huh?]

[How many?]

Yes, 7 million.

“There are about 7 million common zombies or skeletons, you know? That’s how many low-tier undead exist.”

A staggering 7 million low-tier undead.

Not 700, not 70,000, but 7 ‘million’ of them.

The announcement of an army of seven million led to waves of question marks in the chat.

Even though they’re easy to catch, it still seemed like an abnormal figure.

“Not all of them will show up, even if they did, they wouldn’t be very strong.”

“Right. Even if they do come, a million is probably the limit.”

Rasty nodded her doll-like face and said this.

She was sitting on a chair made of blood suspended in mid-air, with blood swirling around her.

She didn’t seem like she was just there normally.

“It’s quite limited until certain special conditions are met. Of course, if those conditions are achieved, all of them might come out.”

“We have to make sure that doesn’t happen.”

Having the world covered in undead is enough of a one-time deal.

A lifeless, dead land doesn’t make for a pretty sight.

It was all gloomy and dreary.

I thought this as I looked at Rasty, who turned her head away with an irritable expression.

“That won’t happen.”

“As for the other mid-tier undead, there are 70,000, upper-tier undead have 7,000, and top-tier undead are merely seven. Couple Zombies are higher-ranking than the top-tier.”
“Apparently, there are 7,000 low-tier undead, but only seven top-tier ones exist. Couple Zombies are higher rank than the top-tier.”

[Hmm]

[So is the priority catching a top-tier undead then?]

[So Lily has already defeated the ultimate boss given?]

[That Lily though]

[Dealing with 7,000 upper-tier undead sounds tough;;]

[For real, that’s a massive numbers game]

[The Progenitor is cute haha]

[A Vampire is technically still Undead, right? lol]

[Hmm]

[How strong are they though?]

“How strong, you ask? Well, as I mentioned earlier, low-tier are just regular mobs, mid-tier is around level 80 to 100, upper-tier is about level 110 to 120. As for top-tier…”

“Most won’t be able to handle them.”

Thump.

Lasty slid down from the chair.

While she walked on her own, the swirling tide of blood still danced around her.

“I doubt even the top of the Outsiders can tackle them. They need to be at least mid-high-tier, demon race level.”

“Uh… that sounds a bit rough, doesn’t it?”

Only Yena and Leo are of that tier, but there aren’t many users like that in Deoen.

There are probably no more than ten at most.

Of course, the Disaster Raid isn’t just about raw strength.

By the time we get there, weaker users would have ways to deal with it too.

I examined the paper further and asked Lasty.

“There’s not much info on Silence, huh?”

“Your older sister knows it well. I left out what she knows.”

“Aside from that, there’s no news or changes either.”

If I knew recent information about Silence, I’d have many more options, but that info wasn’t on the paper.

Lasty blinked her ruby-like eyes and reached out her hand into the air.

Swish…

As her hand met the tide of blood swirling around her, a wine glass was created as if it was born from thin air.

With a flick of her wrist, blood automatically filled the glass.

[Whoa]

[That’s amazing]

[The Lasty]

[She’s the prettiest of anyone I’ve seen so far lol]

[For real lol]

[Progenitor older sister, huh…]

[Information: The Progenitor is basically around middle school age]

[But where does she get off calling anyone older sister?]

[Lololol]

[Ah, pretty and strong, so she gets to be an older sister anyway]

[For real lol]

“No demon race reports to an experiment subject.”

“Um…”

“Though she’s a Leader Individual, Silence hasn’t encountered those two zombies much. Except for when she came across them the couple of times she turned them into zombies, she’s basically had zero interactions with them.”
“Without any context, it’s practically non-existent.”

“Well, if we’re talking about a Top-Class Demon, just facing their Main Body alone would cause both your Mind and Body to collapse.”

“Of course, if the Top-Class Demon were to be somewhat ‘considerate,’ we could at least have a decent conversation, but it’s hard to imagine a Demon having that kind of consideration.”

“Normally, it’d be best not to encounter them unless it’s something really special.”

“Looking at their tendencies, they’re not the type to directly intervene anyway…”

“‘Sister, please explain the ability of Silence. I think you’ll do a better job than I would.’”

Lasty stated this and looked precisely at where the Camera was positioned.

[W-W-Whoa]

[Huh]

[That’s surprising]

[No way? I like Lasty more.]

[For real, lol]

[That’s chilling]

[Lolololol]

“If they knew, wouldn’t that just be a User and not an NPC? They’re tricking everyone!”

[W-W-Whoa]

Lasty is pretty close to being a Person.

No other Residents quite understand or utilize the ‘System’ like Lasty does.

“Perhaps.”

“If, somehow, I could break through the Upper Wall I’ve been knocking on recently, just once.”

“‘That’ might actually be possible.”

Though it’s still just a theory, I believed it could genuinely happen.

“Silence has three main abilities. First, Resurrection of the Dead. It’s the ability to bring back the dead Soul into the Body of a Corpse, as you well know.”

“As long as the Soul is intact, it can resurrect any Soul, no matter whose it is.”

“Of course, Souls of the Celestial Race or those too severely damaged can’t be revived, but it’s clear how amazing this ability is, especially since it can even bring back Souls whose Bodies are completely lost.”

“Usually, most Necromancers or Sorcerers need at least a bone or a piece of flesh to revive someone.”

“If he reveals himself in this land, the first thing he’ll do is resurrect the Dead Ones of the entire continent. The world would be overflowing with Undead.”

“Wherever you go, zombies and bones would swarm, and even if you tried to kill them, a hundred would rise from the ground.”

“When that time comes, I probably wouldn’t be able to do much either, right?”

[W-W-Whoa]

[Lily too?]

“The Necromancer class would love that, lol.”

“That’s way too scary…”

“What else is there?”

“The second is an almost infinite Regeneration. Rebirth using Life Vessel.”
“Close regeneration. It’s regeneration using a Life Vessel.”

As I nodded, Lasty brought over a small glass sphere the size of a soccer ball.

“This contains the soul of the vampire we caught a while back, the Demon King of the One.”

“As long as this isn’t destroyed, the Demon King of the One won’t die, right?”

“A demon with their soul in a Life Vessel usually doesn’t die. Even if it takes damage that could destroy the soul, it regenerates after a certain time. Why?”

“Because the vessel doesn’t break.”

“That’s right. The vessel is intact.”

Therefore, to kill a demon, you first have to find and destroy the Life Vessel before killing them.

Of course, if there’s too much of a gap in rank, that doesn’t mean much… There are very few who are strong enough to ignore the Life Vessel of a Top-Class Demon.

Naturally, not even I can ignore the vessel and kill them.

“To kill a disaster, we definitely need to find the Life Vessel. Typically, Life Vessels are hidden in the safest places…”

I suspect they might hide it deep in their territory or in a system-designated location.

“Just like how we needed to gather all the Kraken’s seals to face the opponent. This disaster will likely focus on finding the Life Vessel, which is a core element.”

Of course, the Sword Saint has already undone those seals, making that irrelevant.

It was a tough time back then, but we can’t let such a thing happen again this time.

‘What if a Top-Class Demon gets released in perfect condition?’

Neither the Users nor I can stop that.

If such a situation arises, the Administrator will have to intervene and take action like before.

[Hmm]

[If I find it, I’ll definitely be the top contributor in the raid, haha]

[I’ll find it]

[So does that mean we can definitely win if we find it?]

[The Kraken’s seals were legendary, yeah]

[Oh!]

[Hahaha]

[Oh no!]

[God… I don’t really miss them that much]

[Sword Saint, what have you been up to these days?]

“Right? I guess there must have been some significant impact, causing problems whether in reality or the game.”

I’m not sure if Deoen quit, but it’s a shame given their talent.

The Sword Saint’s skills were superior to any Deoen user.
