Ertarn could handle most things directly, but the fact they entrusted this to me meant there must be a good reason for it.
Without wasting any time, I headed to the location Ertarn mentioned and found about ten giants clustered in a specific ‘zone.’
It looked like some dozens of meteors had crashed, creating a giant crater.
“Hmm?”
Inside, there were large giants that looked about 30m tall, and they had a bit of power, with abilities on par with Intermediate Angels or Demons.
However, just because they had intermediate strength didn’t mean they could actually defeat others of the same tier.
They weren’t common but also not particularly special beings.

The giants flailed their arms wildly, but they couldn’t reach me.

Thud! The giants slammed their fists against the curtain, but instead of opening, not even a crack appeared.
As if realizing they couldn’t break through, the largest giant lowered his head and locked eyes with me.
The giant with the strongest power among them.
The giant’s yellow eye looked down at me intently.
“I am Mudan. Human. What is the matter?”
“Mudan, Ertarn asked you to solve the problems of the giants here.”
“Problem?”

Of course, being made of stone like celestial beings, the damage wasn’t very noticeable.
It didn’t even look painful.

Mudan, who was at the very bottom, seemed more satisfied with eating the chickens than attacking.
He was quietly taking hits without really fighting back.
Being the strongest, he could handle the giants’ assaults without much trouble.
At this point, I began to understand why Ertarn referred to these giants as a burden.
‘If they keep fighting like this, there’ll be nothing left of nature.’

With intermediate-level strength, just a squabble over ‘who ate the chicken’ was enough to shake the earth.
Whether they got stronger by eating the chicken from the Dimension Gate or were just already strong enough to hoard it was unclear, but there weren’t any other life forms around.
Ertarn probably either moved them somewhere else or fled to avoid the fighting.
You could say Ertarn should stop it, but they weren’t trying to kill each other.
Ertarn wasn’t idle enough to interfere in such trivial issues about giants eating chicken.
Ertarn was a god of the world, not a king ruling over everyone.

I pulled out the hammer that transformed into the White Guardian.

They were still kneeling, though.

The giants shrieked as if they were having seizures.
One of them, unable to hold back, stood up, pushing away his knelt knees.
A giant who slapped their leader, Mudan.
He was burning with fury, charging towards me as if he was about to smack me.
Instead of responding, I just waved the hammer I was holding.

“…My leg. Hurts.”

He sat down again.
I looked at Mudan, the one right in front of me, with a satisfied expression.
“Anyway, to sum it up… the problem is that the chicken vending machine isn’t dispensing enough chicken, right?”
