[So who’s the winning team of this siege war?]
Author: Bubble
(A GIF of top rankers lined up)
Last year’s winning team was the Angel Guild, but it was a mess because of Lily’s one-trick and the Empire, so it doesn’t really matter.
It was more like an event to stop the Empire than a siege war, really.
This time it seems like it’s going to go in a completely different direction. Who do you think will win?
Pavel has gotten way worse than last year, and it seems like Lily isn’t participating either.
Just considering the named guilds, there are almost two or three spots.

─Knight?
─Still, it’s the Angel Guild. They seem busy though.
─Isn’t Black Moon at an advantage? Black has gotten really strong lately.
└But Black Moon seems a bit off ;; lol
└There are just way too many top rankers to compete with Black ㅇㅇ
└How are you going to defeat rankers like Yena, Leo, and Heavenly Horse? lol
└I don’t think the other two will participate either, except for Yena.
└Honestly, they don’t even seem like users anymore lol
└True lol
─Didn’t Lily say she would participate?
└No, no, just viewing.
└She might act like that but stir the pot.
└Lily shouldn’t participate, damn it ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
└The moment she shows up, it’s a siege war done in 10 seconds.
└No, 1-second finish.
└Without Lily even doing anything, just releasing one monster she has would wipe everyone out…
─I don’t know because too many new rankers have shown up lol
└True
└Honestly, outside the top 10, it’s a complete mess now.
[So is Lily participating or not?]

The moment Lily participates, it becomes her playground in the siege war, so she’s definitely not participating, right?
She mentioned it on her NewTube, but since I didn’t watch the broadcast, I really don’t know.
Honestly, I don’t want to fight against users who look like either a crazy angel or an NPC. ;;

Oh, and I hope the top 10 don’t participate either. It’s just like adults crashing a kids’ party…

└Are you serious?
└Damn, she’s actually going to participate?
└That’s a lie ㅋ
└It’s really funny how clueless people are ㅋㅋ
└I don’t know if it’s true.
└She’s not participating. She originally didn’t plan to last year but when the Empire was being messed with, she played as a temporary mercenary for the Angel Guild.
└That’s right, Lily doesn’t like to steamroll.
└If Lily participates, it’s just total annihilation ㅋㅋ
─But how can the Medium and Small Alliance win against the top rankers coming together? ㅋ?
“Are we really winning, lol?”
└ “As long as we don’t get the balance breakers, we’ll survive.”
└ “Hahaha!”
└ “Do you really have something to rely on?”
└ “There are so many ranker-level users lately, and the number of combat classes has skyrocketed.”
─ “Is it just Lily’s problem? Honestly, Leo and Yena are almost as strong as last year’s Lily.”
└ “So I hope they don’t participate. I mean, it’d be great if the top ten would just refrain.”
└ “Hahahahahahaha!”
└ “That guy’s totally insane.”
─ “So is Lily streaming now?”

August 16th. Two days until the Siege War.
I was lounging halfway on a chair in the Dean’s Office of Eli Academy, living a leisurely life.
Although most of the damage from Sacred Transformation and various techniques had recovered, I felt like I had been running too much lately.
The continuous dungeon clears and explorations. And growth.
Of course, I hoped that the powers I needed to reclaim would be there when the time came, but I was already in a state of return.
There was no need to obsess too much over strength or mastery.
Therefore, I had decided to take a break for the time being.
Without entering unnecessary dungeons, altars, or multiverses, I spent my time occasionally doing PVP battles or broadcasting lectures at the academy.
“Are you really not doing it?”
“I told you.”
“……”
And my Dean’s Office was constantly visited by guests.
This time, it was a Gunner.
A rare user in the fantasy world of Deoen who shoots guns, a hidden class owner, a pro player of DCK, and also a member of the Magic Engineering Guild.
For your information, he said he was visiting from the perspective of the ‘Magic Engineering Guild’.
“We won’t interfere as long as you don’t touch our castle. Well, even if you do touch it…”
“Huh?”
“I don’t care if you do.”
That would be interesting.
Could they really break through Elbrite, which I’m protecting?
It was something I was personally looking forward to.
“I’m just thinking of chatting with the viewers while watching the official broadcast, so you can handle the guild matters yourselves.”
“Ah, okay. Then I’ll take my leave.”
“……”
“Lady Lily?”
“Are you doing well?”
The Magic Engineering Guild, to which the Gunner belonged.
They had to provide hundreds of ships almost for free due to a backdoor they had embedded while digging up their own floating ships from the past.
It was a huge loss for them, but had it been revealed that they had embedded a backdoor, other guilds wouldn’t have stayed silent.
The very existence of the Magic Engineering Guild might have been at risk.
Instead of revealing the truth, the two conditions I set were: one was to mobilize the floating ships for the raid.
And the other was “to never embed a backdoor again.”
“It’s about not planting seeds.”
The Gunner swallowed hard and nodded.
“Y-Yeah. I’m keeping it well.”
“…Is that so?”
“Y-Yes.”
“Got it. You may go.”
The Gunner repeatedly bowed his head and left the Dean’s Office.
I felt like there was something fishy going on… but for now, I decided to let it slide.
I couldn’t easily break the limitations I had imposed, and even if I did, it would be hard to achieve a miraculous effect.
‘I’ll just have to endure that much.’
I’m not a caretaker for other guilds, and I figured they could handle a little interference on their own.
If the Magic Engineering Guild tried something like that, they’d have to face the backlash.
Knock, knock.
“Next guest, please come in.”
“This is… Ah, it’s been a while, Lady Lily!”
“Good to see you, Master of the Magic Tower Neris.”
“Wait, you remember me?”
“Of course.”
Ranked 36th overall, 9th in guild rankings.
Master of the Magic Tower Neris, the guild master of the wizard’s guild ‘Magic Tower.’
She hadn’t been able to enter the Academy due to lack of talent, but she was exceptionally gifted as a ‘User.’
With her pink twin tails swaying, she walked up to me and bowed her head.
“Thank you for seeing me on such short notice.”
“It just happens to be a break week. It’s the first time since the demon subjugation in the Empire. Have you been well?”
“…Sort of? It’s been a real struggle, though.”
“Why?”
“Well… First of all, can I relax a little?”
“Of course.”
As soon as Neris received my permission, she sat on the sofa and began munching on expensive snacks laid out on the table.
They were mana-enhancing biscuits shaped into 28 different designs, each costing 3 gold, and yet Neris casually stuffed a dozen into her mouth.
Then she leaned back on the sofa, tilting her head backward.
Chewing away on a long stick biscuit, Neris said, “Ugh… Life’s bitter.”
“What’s going on?”
“…It seems so embarrassing, but honestly, I wonder if you’ll even grant me this meeting…”
“Oh, come on. We’ve fought together a few times.”
Neris was a user with whom I had shared battles against the Kraken and the demons.
Lack of talent was a drawback, but it was quite impressive how far she had come despite that.
Neris appeared to be contemplating something, then nodded.
“Then, as Master of the Magic Tower Neris, may I whine a bit?”
“That’s fine. About 10 others have already done so.”
“???! Who?!”
Bam! Neris slammed her hands on the table and stood up.
Of course, due to her being a wizard and unable to use mana without the system, she couldn’t leave even a scratch on the table.
Without a System, she couldn’t even put a scratch on the table due to her inability to use Mana.
“Hmm. Starting with the Magic Engineering Guild, Black Moon, the Medium and Small Guild Alliance, Iron Blood, Jeokwol Guild… and so on?”
“……”
“And if we count individuals, it’s almost thirty people? Quite a lot of them came and went. The stories were all pretty similar, though.”
“Damn, I ended up last.”
“Who knows? More might come after us.”
The guilds must be stressing over their strategies for the upcoming Siege War.
This Siege War is quite a special situation.
Many have come to ask about my participation, cooperation, or support over the past 3-4 days.
Of course, I declined them all.
Neris’s face fell when she heard my words.
“Even the pigtails look gloomy.”
Is she affected by emotions?
“…Hmph.”
“Still, I’ll listen to your stories, so feel free to share. Just sitting here listening is kind of fun.”
“Ah, um.”
“By the way, don’t worry, I haven’t turned on the broadcast.”
When Neris glanced nervously at the air around me, I reassured her.
Neris nodded.
“You know the situation has been changing rapidly lately, right?”
“To some extent.”
“In the past, there were clear powers. The first was the Empire, the second was the Large Guild Alliance, and the third was the Eden Federation.”
These three were the main forces, and the rest were just extras.
Sure, there were individuals with significant might among the kingdoms or medium and small guilds, but they typically fell behind in power struggles.
However, after the Great Cataclysm, that power structure completely collapsed.
“The Empire was torn into three parts, and the Large Guild Alliance no longer even goes by ‘Alliance.’ The only one remaining is the Eden Federation…”
“I heard they went off on a Quest.”
“Exactly. They’re likely to skip this Siege War for the group World Quest.”
The once formidable trio is either weakening or not participating at all.
In a forest where the tiger has vanished, the fox becomes king.
Countless foxes are starting to bare their teeth, vying to become the rulers of the continent.
Up to this point, it’s just a natural clash between guilds, but the real issue is the ‘Siege War.’
“…More and more are trying to emulate last year’s Empire. A lot, actually.”
