Chapter 639

Erbenus Blodia is one of the New Continents belonging to the Multi-Dimension, and to enter, you must have a Holy Seal.

But Piarro doesn’t have a Holy Seal.

Piarro is able to enter because of a ‘Hidden Job’ quest, and currently, she moves using a skill called ‘Return of Blood,’ which is a teleportation technique.

In other words, she can travel back and forth without any restrictions even without the Holy Seal.

“Have you ever seen a Holy Seal?”

“Nope. Never seen one. I only found out that place was a New Continent after my class change.”

“Hmm… have you ever tried to cross into another world?”

“I didn’t even know there were other worlds!”

Oh, wait… did I?

“I think I’ve heard something about it… but back then, I was too busy learning.”

Hehe… Piarro answered with an awkward laugh.

Despite going through a series of events, she doesn’t seem harmed at all and looks quite bright. It seems she’s just always had this personality.

The madness from earlier is nowhere to be found.

“So that guy Ardor has it?”

“Ah. Yes.”

“Can you go find it?”

“Um… he’s really strong…”

“Earlier you were acting like you could beat anyone.”

“Oh! Ah. Well, at that time… I was just flailing around!”

At Lasty’s words, Piarro flailed her arms as if having a seizure.

“Ugh… I’m really losing it. Anyway, blood is one thing, but Elders are powerful. Their control over blood and their power in their territories is beyond imagination—”

“You gave me your blood.”

“Yeah, that’s true… but I heard if the control is similar, the odds…”

“Are you not confident?”

“To be honest, no.”

Ultimately, the only times she had confidence were when she was high on detox potions.

Right now, Piarro didn’t have the confidence to defeat her master, one of only seven Elders.

“I’m disappointed.”

“I’m sorry…”

“It’s okay. Not just anyone can give blood to an Elder.”

Lasty’s True Blood is absolute, but how it’s handled can make a massive difference.

That’s why the Elders chosen by Lasty are always the best talents from those she meticulously selected.

Piarro’s blood was given not because Lasty chose her but for cleanup purposes, so it was bound to fall short of expectations.

“Well, I guess we should just go.”

“Is there a way?”

“Originally, I was going to break through that System you mentioned.”

Piarro’s skill called ‘Return of Blood.’
Piarro’s technique called ‘Blood’s Return.’

This technique is one created by the system, and with a little tweaking, it might be possible to expand the range to include not just Piarro but the ‘surroundings’ as well.

However, since the system has been significantly enhanced due to a series of events, it’s no straightforward task.

This isn’t just about changing a skill; it’s trying to perform the originally ‘forbidden’ dimensional travel.

Rashti seemed to be aware of this, nodding her head.

“Yeah, it might be a bit difficult. So I’m planning to tweak something else.”

“The necklace?”

“That necklace is an item refined by the system. If we use the power of space to create a rift, we might be able to enter.”

Since the Book of Revelation has already crossed over dozens of times through rifts, it doesn’t seem to pose a problem.

It might be hard for the newly acquired Piarro to create a rift right away, but with Rashti’s teaching, she should learn quickly.

I left the plan to them and spent the remaining time watching over the students.

They said it would take about a week, so we decided to set off a week later, but…

“…What’s opening up?”

─The sky has opened up! A sky as red as blood!

The incident happened three days later.

[Have you seen the strange sky lately?]

Author: Eek

(Red-tinged sky pic)

I’ve been wandering all over the continent searching for hidden pieces, and at a specific time, the sky turns red.

I thought it might be a precursor to a Field Boss or World Boss, so I searched everywhere nearby, but didn’t find anything.

It’s super red, and while watching, it occasionally drips a drop or two.

It looks viscous, kind of like blood, or maybe it’s something else…

It frequently appears at the Western and Southern Continents.

(But I went to the Western and Southern Continents during that time, so it probably appears in other places too?)

Time: Between 9 PM and 10 PM.

All the disasters have been taken care of, but I have no idea what this phenomenon is.

─I saw it too.

─I’m not the only one, huh? I was wondering what was going on, lol.

└For real, lol.

└I got chills watching the sky yesterday, whoa.

─? What is it, damn it, lol.

─Isn’t it some vampire boss showing up?

└Hey, how long has it been since the disasters were taken care of?

└Seems like just a field boss might show up. But do field bosses even have precursors?

└No idea.

─Isn’t it that person from the Lily broadcast?

└Piarro?

└Yeah, yeah.

└Among the Rookies who have been active lately, she’s top-tier, but isn’t she too small-time to affect the entire continent?
Isn’t it a bit too much to go that far?

└I agree.

└Info: Piarro smashed the head of the Progenitor Lasty hard.

└Hahahahahaha!

└That was so funny.

└But seriously, why did she do that?

─This is also appearing on another continent. It looks just like a prelude to the ‘monthly report’, so everyone should brace themselves.

└Is the monthly report coming out already?

─I don’t know, but anyway, Lily will probably solve it.

└Hahahahahahaha!

└Go Lily!

└What makes Lily a solver?

└That’s true.

└For real, haha!

└Hahahahahahaha!

[Oh crap, it’s raining?]

Author: Meteor is space magic.

(A GIF of Red Rain falling)

I saw in the thread that the sky was red, so I rushed over to check if a hidden event popped up, only to find it raining.

It’s red rain, and as soon as it touched me, my blood was suddenly gone, so I activated my shield.

Strangely, it doesn’t smell like blood, but it kind of feels like it when I touch it.

Other than the dot damage coming in, it doesn’t seem that dangerous, but for real, it looks like a sign of the monthly report.

+It’s pouring like crazy. It’s like the sky has opened up.

I need to escape, so I can’t take questions.

─Whoa, the atmosphere is crazy.

─For real, it’s terrifying.

└Did the monthly report come out? Did a hidden event show up?

└But it’s a bit weird for it to come out so soon.

└I don’t know. It looks like it’s from the altar or some other dimension boss.

─How much pain does it cause?

└I’m level 80 mage, and after just 3 seconds, I lost 10%.

└Whoa, whoa, whoa!

└10% in 3 seconds? That’s insane.

└My shield just broke too; this is insane.

└Why is Meteor called space magic? It should be earth magic! This is why commoners can’t understand.

└You’re right.

─It’s falling here in the northern continent too. All the nearby monsters got wiped out, so I hit the last blow and leveled up, haha! I don’t know what it is, but it’s a sweet deal.

└You crazy guy, haha!

└? How are you still alive?

└I have a passive water resistance, so I mostly ignore related damage.

└Whoa, whoa, whoa!

└The problem is, I’m still taking damage. It feels insane.

─What is Lily doing?

└She’s probably at home.

└Hahahahahahaha!

Swoosh…

It’s raining.

The sky is stained red. Endless rain pours down from beyond.

This isn’t rain coming from clouds, but rather an infinite malice made of blood, falling from a completely different place.

‘Red Rain.’

It’s a phenomenon I know all too well.

I gazed at the rough red rain pouring from within the Academy’s office, recalling the past.

Whenever ‘she’ appeared, it always rained red.

That which is made of blood stripped the will to fight from everyone on the battlefield and empowered both itself and its minions, the Bloodsuckers.
She had lost her fighting spirit and made herself and her subordinate bloodsuckers even stronger.

To those who weren’t bloodsuckers, she looked like the avatar of the apocalypse.

“Red Rain, sis.”

“Lasty.”

At my call, Lasty entered the dean’s office.

She looked more serious than usual, or rather, furious.

“I don’t know who it is, but it’s clear that someone over there knows me.”

“Have you ever passed on Red Rain?”

“I didn’t pass it on. I just wrote it down in blood letters. Even then, not many could use it.”

Even.

“There wasn’t anyone who could spread it this widely.”

“It seems to be happening across the entire continent. It’s not that serious yet, but given the nature of the Red Rain, the damage will certainly worsen.”

“…How cheeky.”

Pazuzuzu…!

As Lasty clenched her fist tightly, a powerful wave of blood flow spread around her.

The wave affected the shield that protected Elbrite beyond the academy, momentarily stopping the Red Rain in the area.

But only this area was cut off.

The rain falling across the continent continued unabated.

If it was just normal rain, it could stop at any moment, but the Red Rain was a phenomenon that crossed ‘dimensions.’

Unless Lasty’s power could reach another dimension, stopping the rain entirely was impossible.

“…I need to see that guy’s face.”

“Calm down. Everyone is responding well. They seem accustomed after experiencing the disaster.”

So far, it hadn’t been strong enough to penetrate buildings, and the weaker residents and users were taking refuge in safe structures.

Most large cities presumably had shields that covered the whole city, so there shouldn’t be any problems.

The real problem would come when the rain intensified.

“We need to catch the caster of the Red Rain before it gets stronger.”

“Let’s go immediately. I need to find him and ask him while sparing his life.”

“Before that.”

I calmed the extremely excited Lasty and touched the air.

“We don’t need Piarro anymore. The moment Red Rain was used, it was basically the same as opening a large-scale rift.”

“No, not that.”

[Would you like to activate the streaming system?]

“Let’s turn on the broadcast.”
