Chapter 578

My fight with Bujin ended abruptly due to his sudden surrender.

All I did was get hit by a suddenly ‘separated’ axe blade, and yet the opponent gives up.

From my perspective, it’s somewhat unfair, but my main goal is to get to Teshiniria, so I figured good is good.

[? LOL]

[Did he really just throw the first punch and then tuck his tail?]

[Lily, just hit him once.]

[Info) Lily can defeat an opponent without making any attacks.]

[He figured there was no answer, huh? LOL]

[But Bujin seems pretty strong.]

[For real! LOL]

[Isn’t it impressive that Lily managed to land a hit?]

“Yeah, definitely not ordinary.”

I’m currently in a 4th state.

My body’s defense and resistance, as well as the amount of holy power, have drastically increased, and any regular existence can’t harm me.

Even if they try, it’s hard to inflict wounds beyond mere scratches.

However, Bujin’s initial attack was somewhat ‘effective.’

“It seems like the weapons of the people here interact with Teshiniria in some way. Suddenly, a powerful force infused into the pattern engraved on the axe.”

That power was sharp and hard enough to rival my own.

“Perhaps it’s the owner’s power in this place, like in Ertarn? Or maybe it’s something special in this world.”

Whatever it is, I’ll figure it out once I get there.

Moreover, if my guess is correct, the techniques here are a refined version of the ‘Blunt Techniques’ created by me and the dragon kin.

The technique earlier was quite similar to one of the many dragon kin, the Stone Dragon.

‘Though I haven’t used it much.’

“Ahem! F-f-follow me.”

“Sure.”

Where did Bujin’s earlier confidence go? Now he seems all timid, guiding me with a wary look.

Of course, his timid demeanor and cautious glare didn’t particularly show on the surface, so to the surrounding people, he looked incredibly serious.

“Oh.”

I didn’t notice from the entrance, but this place seems pretty nicely decorated.

There are buildings made of peculiar materials scattered around, and the most noticeable feature is, of course, the ‘axe.’

True to the Extreme Axe Faction, there are plenty of axe patterns and various axe weaponry around.

Just a glance is enough to catch them in sight.

‘Should I be glad there isn’t an axe house?’

If there were, it would’ve been called an Extreme Theme Park instead of an Extreme Axe Faction.

─As expected, right?
─Since we’re at it, might as well go all the way.
─Is Bujin really going to smash someone? The skill gap is obvious…
─Tsk tsk. How dare you act tough in front of Bujin, you got what was coming!
─Did that woman give up right away?
─That’s how newbies are. Isn’t it more like she got recognized?
─She looked quite strong, but that makes sense.
It looked like the law was strong, but of course.

─ As expected from Bujin-nim!

“Hmm.”

“…Don’t worry about it, just follow me.”

“I’m doing that.”

He seems to have noticed the difference between us, but the onlookers didn’t.

To those watching, it seemed like after the battle, I got injured and Bujin gave up.

If someone as strong as Bujin were present, he would have read the flow of battle and understood the situation, but sadly, there was no one close to Bujin in that place.

To the people, they might think Bujin merely gauged my level in one exchange and decided it was ‘forbearance.’

[So cocky, lol]

[Lily’s getting dissed]

[Just go for the massacre, let’s go]

[Can’t see anything anyway]

[Let’s just hit him once]

[Lily being too nice is a problem, though, ㅜㅜ]

“We’re almost there.”

“Oh.”

Bujin and I arrived at the Giant Door.

This was the dimensional door to Teshiniria from Aether, the New Continent.

It was a large door made of colorful ores resembling iron, at least 10 meters tall, with patterns etched on it.

However, these characters weren’t just from the Extreme Axe Faction; various patterns of seven, including those of sickles, were engraved.

Originally, I thought about meeting the leader of the Extreme Axe Faction while in their territory, but unfortunately, I heard he was absent.

Currently, the highest ranks present were just the two disciples of the same rank as Bujin…

“When you place the Holy Seal on this Door, it will react. Then you can enter.”

“I got it. Thanks for the guidance.”

“…Y-Yeah.”

Bujin walked away from the door sluggishly.

Was my fighting that shocking to him?

‘All I did was hit him, after all.’

I gave Bujin a glance before pulling out the Holy Seal and placing it in front of the door.

The door opened.

In a time long past, ancient races fought fiercely.

Their battles weren’t anything special.

In a fight with no absolute strong or weak, people spilled countless blood. That blood and flesh transformed into great rivers and mountains.

Then one day, seven ‘shooting stars’ fell from the sky.

The shooting stars were merely a fall of common stars seen throughout the world, but they were oddly different.

For some unknown reason, on that day, everyone in the world claimed, “We saw the shooting stars.”

The true nature of those shooting stars was the seven newborn children that fell across the world.

With a radiance blinding to the eye and special powers. And a mysterious birth.

Historians recorded that day as “the day God gave his children to the world.”

People raised these children, firmly believing they would bring an end to the war.
While raising this child, I firmly believed they would end the war.

And that wish truly came true.

The ‘Lightning’ child incinerated the entire Northern Continent, making it uninhabitable for anyone.

The ‘Earth’ child completely shattered the land of the Western Continent.

Rumor has it that it may have connected to the other side of the world, but that’s probably just the nonsense of those who love to gossip.

The ‘Wind’ child cloaked the Southern Continent in storms. It’s safe to say that all storms across the continent began here.

The situations of the other children weren’t much different.

Everyone lost control of their powers and recklessly wielded them, leading the world to destruction.

Whose fault was it?

The ‘Children of God’ who fell from the sky?

Or the people who tried to handle such great beings?

Regardless of who went first, the world was in chaos.

The only ones left unscathed were the few people clinging to the children and the Children of God.

Among them, the ‘Child of Life,’ who was in a relatively stable area, sought advice from their ‘Sage.’

‘Sage. My brothers do not listen to me. I saved my people and land with the Power of Life, but I cannot save the lands of the other brothers.’

‘As God’s representative, your character and warmth are known to all humble beings in this world. However, those who scheme wickedly and manipulate other representatives are different.’

They are corrupted beings who cannot be saved.

‘Purify them and save the world with your warm power.’

‘What should I do? The brother of ‘Source’ who would share salvation has fallen asleep, knowing the misery of this world. It is impossible for me alone.’

‘It is not that there is no way.’

Hearing the sage’s advice, the Child of Life pondered.

It is certainly a plausible thought.

If they follow the sage’s words, they could stop all of their brothers’ ‘Evil Deeds’ and perhaps bring salvation to the world.

This would be akin to proving the greatness of the Children of God and God’s representatives, leading everyone growing in this land to praise the great beings of God.

‘…I can do it.’

But is it really the right path?

Even at the moment of decision, doubt lingered in a corner of the Child of Life’s heart, but… they ultimately decided to act.

The sage had always offered wise counsel since their birth.

To the Child of Life, the sage was both a teacher and, perhaps, a parental figure.
He was an existence akin to dust.

‘I’ll be going there soon as well. Please don’t worry.’

‘No. Sage. You must live long.’

‘How can I abandon that person? It’s my last wish, so please accept it.’

‘…Do as you wish.’

Thus, the Child of Life took root in this land.

The power that contained his existence spread throughout the land, restoring the earth and pacifying his brethren.

Even the Child of God, no matter how revered, could not prevent the existence from crossing the water’s surface.

And thus, thousands of years passed.

The sage is still alive.

As the ‘advisor’ to the Child of Life.

.]

“…There’s a lot going on.”

Even a quick glance at the unusual cutscenes gave off a strange vibe, and unlike during Ertarn, the quest had a clear objective.

Above all, the existence of the sage I saw last bothered me greatly.

[???]

[What the heck lol]

[Is the sage the shadowy figure?]

[??]

[Becoming a disciple, Lily?]

[Seven Children?]

[Isn’t this martial arts?]

[Oh, Ertarn is inactive lol]

[Seems like they’re waking up the kids]

[The martial arts is in the main temple, and this isn’t it ㅇㅇ]

“First, let’s find that person.”

It’s time to take revenge on the ‘master’ who dare broke my house.
