The crowd was amazed and excited by the enormous amount of fish I distributed through the disciples.
The secret behind this miracle isn’t anything special.
It’s just that my main body at the Academy diligently caught fish and secretly poured them into a basket in a pocket dimension.
But I staged it to make it look like I had triggered a fish duplication bug without giving any hints.
In their eyes, I am the Son of Deus and a divine being.
It’s to meet that belief that I perform miracles.
Earlier, Ignis told me, “The firm belief of sentient beings generates divine resources, and when divinity gathers together, faith becomes reality.”
Saula believed in the Holy Spirit.
Wackfa also believed in the Holy Spirit.
Thanks to the belief of these two powerful sentient beings, Ignis was reborn as a spirit with divinity.
From this, I hypothesized that I too had gained divinity.
I theorized that the belief was formed because of the book I wrote, [Things You Must Read If You Live on the Continent].
If my book spread through Lydia, and if the faith of believers who grew with the Deus sect gathered through Lydia, then it would explain my peculiar “Gift.”
If faith drew divine resources to me, it would mean my “Gift” could use that divinity to perform miracles.
However, a question still remains.
The book I wrote discusses the long-forgotten deity, Deus.
And the object of faith for the Christos is Deus, not me.
If my hypothesis is correct, then it should be Deus who gains divinity.
Earlier, Ignis mentioned a being called “mother” in our conversation.
Considering that Deus is referred to as “mother” among the Christos, it seems likely that the “mother” Ignis spoke of is indeed Deus.
However, if Deus had gained divinity and resurrected… then it’s strange that Deus hasn’t made any contact with me.
If Deus liked being resurrected because of my book, then like how I empowered Dia in [Deus Ex Machina], Deus could empower me.
Or if Deus didn’t like how I freely wrote her story in the book, maybe I’d face her wrath.
Something needs to happen.
The truth about Deus and divinity is still shrouded in mystery.
After the miracle in Capernaum, I made a resolution.
Since I have become the Son of Deus and an object of faith, I might as well go all the way.
If I become an object of faith, then it makes sense that I would gain “divinity” myself.
If something goes wrong, the one to take the hit would be my clone.
I might have found a way to gather divinity without any real risk.
If I continue to gather divinity steadily, then I, possessing a “Gift” that can create miracles based on that divinity, could perhaps become a god without Ignis or Deus.
This would create a true asymmetrical power that I could wield without swordsmanship or magic.
And if I steadily cultivate this power, I might even be able to thwart that “Chaos.”
Therefore, after leaving Capernaum, I tried my best to act like the Son of Deus while leading the crowd.
I performed miracles through every available means, such as catching fish using the “Poseidon’s Fork” while traveling long distances, with the pinnacle being the fish duplication bug miracle that just occurred.
It was merely a trick using a pocket dimension, but it will be seen differently in their eyes.
No matter how much I use a pocket dimension, fish do spoil.
Yet the fish I gave them were freshly caught yesterday by my main body.
And while traveling with them, I hadn’t shown any act of catching fish.
Though I claimed to have helped with “Poseidon’s Fork,” it was all Simon who had caught the fish.
So it’s unlikely they’d think I pulled fish out from a pocket dimension.
I do feel like I’m pulling off a scam, but good things are good.
Thud
As I heard something hit the ground and turned my head, Simon was kneeling again, just like he did in Galilee.
“Teacher.”
What now? This is awkward.
“I…I doubted you again, teacher. Even though I knew you were the one and only Son of the great Deus… I could not believe you and doubted you!”
Is it because I had asked Simon to distribute two fish to the entire crowd earlier?
I didn’t provide any explanation to Simon for the effective demonstration of the miraculous effect of the fish multiplying.
Surely it must have been nerve-racking for Simon given his position.
I actually feel sorry for him.
I unintentionally made Simon doubt me.
It’s strange not to doubt. Don’t do that so much.
“I will never… doubt again! I will just believe, my teacher!”
With a determined face, Simon vowed to trust me.
…Not that I was mad at him for doubting me.
“Simon.”
“Yes, teacher.”
“What do people think of me?”
“Some say you are a priest with exceptional divinity. Others say you are the Son of God descended to Earth.”
“And?”
“And some say you’re just a lucky human who gained an outstanding ‘Gift.’”
Oh… Is there really someone saying that? That’s oddly accurate.
But it shouldn’t be that way!
They need to think of me as the Son of Deus for divinity to gather!
“Then, Simon. What do you think?”
“I…”
Simon hesitated, lowering his head.
What’s wrong? You said you believed in me.
“Teacher, you are the only Son of Deus, the living and unique God in this world. You are the true Christos.”
With firm belief on his face, Simon declared it to me.
“Simon, the one who has revealed this to you is not a human. It is my mother, who is in heaven; thus, you are blessed.”
Right now, the companion and disciple I need most is one who believes I am the Son of Deus.
I need “believers” to gather around me.
“Simon, you are now Petros. For I will build my church upon this rock, and the power of ‘Chaos’ shall not prevail against it.”
Petros, from ancient Celestial meaning “rock.”
Thud
“I will just believe! No matter what you do, I will believe in you! Even if something happens, I will believe in you, my Lord!”
Hearing my words, Simon slammed his head to the ground in reverence.
Simon, you will be the rock upon which my clone’s journey stands.
The true rock for my journey to gather “divinity” and thwart “Chaos.”

The largest granary region of the Nova Empire, the outskirts of Genesaret, Debea
Buzz buzz
Chatter chatter
The gateway to enter Debea.
An enormous crowd was watching us around the gate.
“Umm… teacher. It seems they all came to see you.”
I guess so. Even though this is Genesaret, it’s just an outskirts town.
It’s strange to see this many people gathered at the gate.
It seems it’s right to say they came to see me.
Honestly, I somewhat anticipated this reaction.
The miracle I performed in Capernaum was nothing short of shocking.
Still… there are more people than I expected.
Unlike the previous time when I entered Capernaum invisibly, I can’t do that this time.
Having brought along this many people.
For now, I think I’ll negotiate with the knight who seems to be the leader guarding the gate.
With my eloquent speech.
“I have been waiting, Holy One of Capernaum!”
…Huh?
“The lord has commanded me to take you to him! May I ask for your company?”
A command?
Accompany?
This is unexpected.
I really didn’t think the lord of Debea would welcome us.
“Simon.”
“Yes, teacher.”
“I will meet with the lord of this place for a moment. Please take care of them in the meantime.”
“Understood, teacher! Leave it to me!”
While not completely trustworthy, he is the rock I appointed.
He’s the man who will become the cornerstone of the Deus myth.
I’ll trust him.

“Please wait here.”
The knight led me into a splendid room and then left.
The lord of Debea is someone I don’t know well.
What could he want with me?
Did someone ask for healing?
Creeeak
The door opened.
“It’s an honor to meet you. Holy One of Capernaum, Son of Deus.”
Judah Iscariot?
Judah, a student of Calandra Academy… why is he here?
Why is he here?
Wait a second. Does he know my main body’s face?
