[Time to hunt some humans, yay!]
[Did you kill another person? Tsk tsk….]
[Why are you humming? It sounds like a crazy psychopath!]
[Well… killing people is fun!]
[Kayak!]
[A sad story) Kayak actually turned out to be a dangerous person on the psychopath test.]
[Kayak is just happy because she got free food.]
[It’s hilarious how the vibe is totally different from other rooms, ㅋㅋㅋㅋ.]
[Everyone else is super tense, but the Broadcast Host is just chilling peacefully, ㅋㅋ.]
[If you win the final prize, there’s a reward, but this person doesn’t seem interested at all.]
[The Broadcast Host earns 300 million a month, so yeah….]
[In some ways, isn’t this the true meaning of a survival game? You just need to survive without any rush in life.]
[She’s not surviving alone; she’s playing a healing game, ㅋㅋㅋㅋ.]
[But seriously, how is she throwing the axe so well? Did this person come prepared?]
[Does the top physical gamer, Camilla, look like she’s got it tough?]
[Hmm, yeah, big sis is really good at every game.]
[With a 3-squat total of 500 kg and a 120 kg bench press, she’s definitely got real physical strength.]
[Is Kayak also at 500? I’m stuck at 300;;]
[That’s nonsense, ㅋㅋ. She’s not even someone who goes to the gym.]
[But if we really measured it, she might just hit that level.]
[The Broadcast Host wouldn’t be weird if she knew how to throw axes in real life….]
BJ Haksung, followed by the Broadcast Host Jihoon, was brutally murdered by Kayak.
She hummed a tune, rummaging through the corpses, and then, out of nowhere, said,
“Wow, everyone. Look at the sky.”
In an unexpectedly innocent voice,
“I can see all the stars. It feels like they’re going to pour down.”
Before anyone knew it, dusk had settled in once again.
A night sky that seemed like it could pour down, as Kayak described. Indeed, it was just as she said.
The game looked just like a forest with trees growing everywhere. The night sky was so well-rendered it was hard to believe it was graphics.
You could see a clear and beautiful night sky that you could never find in the city. The dark sky was dotted with shining stars, and shooting stars occasionally fell from the sky.
However, perhaps because the timing was off, the viewers seemed unable to understand Kayak’s sensitivity.
[Are you really talking about how beautiful the night sky is after killing someone?]
[??? : I killed them because the night sky was too pretty.]
[This is totally psychopath-level, ㅋㅋㅋㅋ.]
[Scary, ㅠㅠ.]
[The graphics are freaking amazing, ㅋㅋㅋㅋ.]
[Kayak-style vibes, ㅋㅋㅋ.]
[Hurry and relate to me, you guys!]
“The night sky is so beautiful!!”
“Honestly, I didn’t expect much, but this game is better than I thought. There’s a good mix of romance and a travel feel….”
“I feel like I’m doing something…”
This was the first time Kayak had received such a proper evaluation during an advertisement. The viewers took it to mean that Kayak genuinely enjoyed the game.
“I’ll bring other people later and just do some online camping. We can light a campfire. It’s so real; it’s perfect for zoning out.”
The assessment of survival and survival skills was omitted as if it were a given.

[It’s coming, it’s coming]
[Run away! Jensen!]
[They say a crazy woman is smashing the server?]
[Pretty soon, Jensen will have his head chopped off by an axe and his lower half roasted over the campfire.]
[Damn, is she really a demon?]
[I can’t understand anything you’re saying lol]
[A whistling killer is coming; Jensen, don’t mess around and prepare properly]
[She’s a barbarian with an axe and a psychopath who knows no fear.]
“What the hell are you talking about? Say that slowly. What’s coming?”
With slightly greasy blonde hair and a finely sculpted nose, the handsome man furrowed his brow, looking a bit confused.
Jensen Black. He was one of the streamers on Twiitch, averaging about 50,000 viewers, a colossal streamer from the United States.
The chat was scrolling up so fast it was barely visible. However, Jensen, being a pro streamer, managed to make sense of the chaotic chat.
“A whistling killer, a whistling murderer is coming to kill me?”
A Korean woman, a barbarian with an axe, clad in vine armor, with only a greave on her left leg.
That was the killer’s description gathered from the viewers’ comments. Such detailed and unforgettable characteristics.
“Right, right, a crazy woman barbarian is coming to kill me with an axe. Got it. I’m supposed to run away? Why should I?”
Jensen scoffed at the overly dramatic viewers. Of course, he was somewhat aware of her intimidation factor; he had been keeping an eye on the kill log that had been steadily climbing in the upper right corner since earlier.
However, he had no intention of backing down. Jensen was also one of the representative game streamers from America, who didn’t shy away from any game.
In any game he touched, he was a ranked player, possessing physical skills recognized by professionals. There was simply no reason for him to back down from this match.
“Top 7 in the Abyss Korean server? Ha, you all might have forgotten, but I was in the top 10 on the server too. I’ve had enough professional offers to deal with. It’s impressive, but there’s no need to be scared without even facing me.”
Though he didn’t reveal it to his viewers, this was Jensen’s calculated judgment as well.
Though it wasn’t revealed to the viewers, this was a decision rooted in Jensen’s own calculation.
After all, stepping back now would only mean losing. It would be tough to find a new home outside this area, and while trying to take root elsewhere, he’d definitely face pressure from other players. If that happened, he’d end up flailing around and die without even a proper fight.
In that case, it was a hundred times better to fight the incoming female Barbarian who was a little crazy. No matter how tough it seemed, Jensen thought there was at least a slight chance of winning.
As it approached the two-hour mark of gameplay, Jensen was also making a name for himself with three kills under his belt. He was getting pretty used to player versus player battles.
– Slump, slump.
Just as the viewers were making a fuss, the opponent they were all talking about showed up. Jensen saw her and bravely shouted.
“Okay! Bring it on, Barbarian! I’m not going down easily like the others!”
*
“What’s he saying?”
[He means he’ll kill you.]
[He’s saying he wants revenge for his teammate?]
[It’s Jensen, LOL.]
[What’s with the Barbarian?]
[Looks like a foreign guy is on stream, LOL.]
[The host can’t speak English, huh?]
[I’m top class in English, but I really can’t understand native speakers!]
[They’re saying you suck at games.]
[That Barbarian murderer has already got a reputation in the other room, LOL.]
[Show them the spicy taste of kimchi, host!]
At this point, only about twenty survivors were left.
With the final victory condition being ten people, it wasn’t long now. The survival zone was shrinking, and those remaining were gradually converging on certain areas.
Food was plentiful, and the items obtained from looting were more than enough—almost excessive. If they just settled down and defended that area, they could survive without a hitch. However…
Despite this, Kayak didn’t stop hunting. It was as if this was her calling, carrying out her duty in a routine but steady manner.
This opponent was arguably the most formidable she had faced so far, both broadcast-wise and skill-wise.
Yet, as she entered her hunting phase, Kayak didn’t read the chat, so she was oblivious to this fact.
Whoosh—
Kayak launched the first attack. She approached Jensen nimbly and threw something.
It was an axe throw—something no one had managed to dodge until now. The hefty axe flew mercilessly toward Jensen.
The axe landed squarely where Jensen had been standing. However, proving that he was not an easy opponent, he swiftly dodged, gracefully avoiding the axe.
“Oh.”
Kayak let out a small, impressed sound, yet her movements didn’t stop. Out came a second axe from her backpack, swinging it toward Jensen.
Clang—
Jensen barely managed to block it but had to step back a little.
It was due to Kayak’s stats increasing from consecutive player kills. Having racked up a total of 7 kills so far, she had gained bonuses for choosing the harder path of killing enemies instead of just holding out in a specific area for food.
Kayak caught on to this subtle difference quicker than anyone else. Realizing she had the upper hand, she unleashed a relentless assault.
Jensen screamed from the series of axe strikes.
“Damn, are you really a barbarian? What kind of axe…!”
Jensen scoffed while frantically searching for openings despite the unfavorable situation.
Just as he spotted one, he managed to deflect the edge of Kayak’s axe with his sword.
In that instant, Kayak lowered her stance. She let go of the axe and plunged downward toward Jensen. Simultaneously, Jensen’s screen turned red.
“Ugh…!”
Kayak was now holding a bloodied dagger in her hand. She had quickly drawn the dagger and stabbed Jensen in his lower half.
The injury to his lower body was critical. In the intricately designed game, getting a leg injury would decrease mobility significantly. Jensen swung his sword wildly, attempting to shake Kayak off as he retreated.
But that was Jensen’s fatal mistake.
“What the hell is this?”
Jensen’s vision, once stained red, was now tinted green. A ticking sound rang in his ears as a bonus.
Though it was an effect he had never seen before, Jensen, having a deep understanding of the game, quickly realized what it meant.
“Poison! You coated your dagger with poison…! What a cowardly trick…!”
With his health slowly draining and his injured leg slowing him down, Jensen realized that stalling would only work against him and frantically charged at Kayak.
However, he had already retreated once. With the advantageous position secured, Kayak had no reason to fight up close. She put her dagger away and pulled out… a slingshot.
Thwack—
Kayak took a step back and launched a stone with the slingshot, forcing Jensen into a position where he couldn’t approach to swing his sword or escape.
As the stones rained down, Jensen, sensing defeat, let out a hollow laugh.
“I’m really playing this game like shit…”
Those were his last words before his character fell.
It was summer.
