Vote for your character!
New skins will be released based on user choices!
1. Acquire your voting rights.
1-1. Each account gets a basic 1 vote, and you can get an additional one for attendance during the voting period. You can also earn more by completing missions in-game.
2. Vote for your favorite character.
Use your votes to support your favorite character. The character that receives the most votes will get a new skin!
3. The character with the highest votes will receive a mythic skin. Likewise, the second place character will get a legendary skin, and the third place character will receive a rare skin.
*While we aim to release all three skins simultaneously, the schedule may change due to internal circumstances.

Candidate 1 Nixon – Vote Here
Candidate 2 Jerome – Vote Here
Candidate 3 Nox – Vote Here
Candidate 4 Lennok – Vote Here
…
“Hmm….”
Following the viewer’s advice, I slowly read the newly posted notice on the official website.
So, they’re giving every user one vote by default. On top of that, there are a few extra votes up for grabs through effort.
[What the hell, now they’re asking for votes? LOL]
[Democratic and good, right?]
[Better than them putting out random crappy skins regularly…?]
[But this means popular characters will just sweep the top three spots for skins.]
[That’s the point of the event.]
[Lennok, Camilla, Lily, let’s go!]
[Can’t help it; that’s the law of the world, yeah….]
[But… unpopular characters won’t have many users even if they get skins, and they won’t sell well.]
[Did anyone want to be born ugly? Life’s a bitch, damn.]
[For real LOL Eonix has a ton of characters they created but just left them to rot because they’re not popular.]
“Not bad at all.”
Personally, I think it’s a pretty good event.
Not just because Camilla, the character I usually play, is among the popular ones, but the fact that Eonix is even doing this event is quite encouraging.
The attempt to listen to user voices is definitely a plus.
Giving users voting rights and selecting skins based on the results? I couldn’t have imagined this back in the day.
[Camilla is definitely in the rankings.]
[Yeah, back then, voting? You wouldn’t even dream of it.]
[Can’t get enough of this!]
[Here we go again! Kayak’s stories from back in the day!]
[Recording on]
[I’ve heard this way too many times already….]
[It’s like listening to a grandma with dementia telling the same story over and over again]
[Basically, Eonix is the poster child for neglecting users and a prime example of a small-time company, blah blah blah….]
There’s a memorable story from back then.
Similar to that, they suddenly held a popularity poll for Abyss characters, and guess what? Camilla took first place.
“I can’t remember the exact rankings, but Camilla was first, Calliope second, and was it Randa third? Anyway….”
At that time, Camilla didn’t even have the Snowflake Queen skin yet; she only had the one skin that was available at launch.
A rare skin that came with the character release.
However, the design of the skin was underwhelming, and the skill effects didn’t change, leading to the general consensus that the basic skin was better.
[That’s a skin even the artisans threw away lol]
[Are you talking about the Radiant Light Camilla? That one’s pretty!]
[They revamped it; originally, it had a square jaw and clunky motion, so no one used it.]
“I thought the characters chosen from the popularity poll would get new skins, but they just zipped it and released skins for other characters instead!”
The popularity poll was over before it even started. No rewards were given at all.
As a result, many users, including myself, were left dumbfounded. We thought that when they held a popularity poll, it would at least reward us with a skin.
“I mean, if they had at least created some in-game emoticons or icons, it would be understandable, but they just zipped it and immediately released a skin for Lennok!”
[Oh lol, they said it was a popularity poll but never promised skins.]
[I was about to say the broadcaster was just hyping it up, right?]
“It’s a bit ridiculous that they held a popularity poll and then immediately released Lennok’s skin lol.”
[Aha, Lennok, it’s you again?]
[As expected, skins are always about Lennok lol]
[So that’s why Lennok has so many skins despite being a male character….]
[But seriously, why does Lennok have so many skins?]
[At one point, Eonix only released male character skins to attract female users.]
[They must have been trying to ride the ‘girl coin’ wave.]
“Anyway, you get what I’m trying to say, right? You see how much I crave skins. So please vote for Camilla. After all, everyone in our room likes Camilla, don’t they?”
Speaking of which, I promptly show the voting for number 27 – Camilla on the site. This is how you lead by example so others will follow suit.
“People often follow what they see.”
[Vote pressure ㄷㄷㄷㄷ]
[If I don’t vote for Camilla, will I get banned?]
[I already voted for Theodora.]
[Teacher, don’t you know the four principles of elections? It should be a secret ballot!]
“Why is there so much greed? Just recently we’ve had Hero Camilla and Snowflake Queen Camilla, and yet you’re still so greedy?”
“Honestly, even if Camilla doesn’t receive votes from viewers, she seems like she’d still rank high due to her popularity.”
“We need to secure it! And for those asking why there’s so much greed… Camilla only has 3 skins right now. Thankfully, the reworks and new skins have decent quality, but it’s still not enough. I’m still hungry. I’m still hungry. Just look at the neighbor, Lennok. He has 10 skins all to himself, and Theodora has 8—there are plenty of characters with lots of skins.”
“With just 3 skins, Camilla is practically a fairy.” She appealed to the viewers, explaining repeatedly.
“Moreover, if Camilla comes in first in the voting this time, she’ll get another mythic skin. The first character in Abyss with 2 mythic skins? Isn’t that exciting just to think about?”
[Oh….]
[If they make it with Snowflake Queen Camilla’s quality, I’ll acknowledge it, yeah.]
[Last time it was underboob, so what’s next…?]
[Reverse bunny girl Camilla ㄷㄷㄷㄷ]
“The more you strip, the more you sell – Kim Woo-hyuk.”
[If Eonix knows how to make sales, they’ll create something revealing like last time.]
[Who’s Kim Woo-hyuk, you nerd?]
[Camilla with candidate number 27 just donated 10,000 won!]
– If Camilla is elected, will you cosplay and go to G-Star like before?
“If I come in first, cosplay for G-Star? I’m not sure about G-Star, but I will cosplay. It’s not that hard.”
Her straightforward answer sparked cheers in the chat.
Well, I can’t just do something I’ve already done once. Somehow it turned into a sort of campaign promise, but if I want to gather votes, I need to do at least this much.
[I’ve got all the clips saved ㅅㄱ]
[You won’t backpedal after you’re elected, right?]
[The Broadcast Host has integrity, so they keep their word.]
[Kayak doesn’t rip people off.]
Now that we’re on the topic, I decided to raise the stakes.
“I’m also holding an event. Vote for Camilla and leave a proof post in the cafe. Then something good might happen?”
I offered various prizes like the gift box code I got from Eonix, chicken gift coupons, my autograph, and goods. The viewers’ reactions heated up even more.
[Great Huang Kayak!]
[It’s a festival, a festival!]
[Symbol 27, Camilla! The milky-skinned Camilla!]
[Kayak to Parliament!]
[But is it really worth all this trouble? Can’t the broadcast host just declare a Buster Call and take first place?]
[No, no. Considering overseas competition, maybe 2nd or 3rd is possible, but first place is tough.]
[Oh, so there are votes from overseas users too.]
It was as they said. Unlike the past years when it was a bad game, the global online game Abyss was achieving worldwide popularity.
Of course, since it was a game developed in Korea, there were the most users from Korea, but that didn’t mean you could ignore users from other countries.
It meant you couldn’t just focus on opinions within Korea. The probability of winning would be higher for whoever captured the hearts of overseas users.
“Hmm…”
[Guess we need to campaign…?]
[First off, the US server is the second largest after Korea.]
[NA, EU, and JP all have a lot of people.]
[Are we sending someone overseas?]
[Is the broadcast host good at English?]
[How on earth are we going to promote overseas? Hahaha.]
[Kayak spreading out to the world, whoa!]
[Our broadcast host… is truly international!]
I momentarily continued my thoughts before contacting someone.
*
“Hmm, ahem…”
A woman leading countless businesses. A walking conglomerate. Businesswoman Isabel.
Known to the Kayak broadcast’s viewers as the Twitch Boss, the rich “Lez-yan” with a yandere obsession, she oddly seemed to be in a good mood.
Unlike her usual stiff, mechanical self displaying no emotions, she was humming a tune.
The contact came while Isabel was asleep, from none other than the Kayak she cherishes dearly.
Not long after she woke up, she received the news from her secretary and was about to call as soon as she heard they wanted to talk.
“Hehe, I guess they want to ask me something?”
For example, maybe they’ve changed their mind and want to move to the US…
Isabel, who holds power to manipulate the world, hadn’t used such connections until now. But it seems something has finally come up where help is needed.
With a willing heart, Isabel contacted Kayak.
And not long after, she asked back with a bewildered voice.
“…What do you want to do?”
