Chapter 112

Dominic’s shield, utterly shattered by my attack.

This is the final weapon of the Celestia Empire, the ultimate weapon against gods, the unique realm, Rex Omniam.

It’s looking incredibly powerful, beyond my expectations.

I can’t believe that sturdy Dominic’s shield broke in a single hit.

I thought I would have to hit it multiple times to break it.

Once the unique realm is declared, each exhibits its own unique effects.

For most gods, their divinity dramatically increases, and their specialty powers come into play.

Rex Omniam is a weapon created by the Celestia Empire to take revenge on such gods.

Within this realm, it grants the user power comparable to that of a god.

It’s known as ‘unique realm’ crafted in the form of an artifact by humans.

It was made with the sacrifices of the empire’s elites and the remaining resources of the empire to one day take revenge on the gods who destroyed it.

Though it’s a one-time-use item.

For an ordinary human to gain god-like powers, it wouldn’t make sense if it weren’t one-time use.

Celestia itself was packed with clues that many users had gathered since the early parts of [Deus Ex Machina], but in part 2, as gods started to use their realms, its secrets were revealed, and it quickly became a key item to respond to this.

It’s used at a crucial point in the story, too.

And since I have the memories from the part 2 perspective, I can utilize this artifact.

When Rex Omniam unfolds, it grants immense divinity to the caster, equal to the number of humans present within it.

It was created to protect humans from gods.

This place, Oria, is the capital of the Nova Empire, a place where countless people reside.

Now that Rex Omniam has unfolded and covered all of Oria, I have gained powers on par with a god.

Whoosh!

A tremendous flame erupted from one side of Dominic’s realm, overlapping with my Rex Omniam.

The flames began to fly towards me.

Leading the charge was Dominic, the one I had just sent flying.

“You insolent fool! How dare you mock me!”

His whole body was engulfed in black flames as he flew towards me.

Although I didn’t know what he looked like since he didn’t appear in [Deus Ex Machina], I could feel the overwhelming power surging through me, divine energy.

For some reason, as the divinity filled my body, the thought felt both strange and familiar.

Familiar?

Have I used divine energy before?

Using divinity through ‘Gift’ doesn’t go through my body, so how could I feel familiar?

Why do I feel nostalgia?

Regardless of whether I’ve used divine energy before or not, there was no way I would lose to Dominic with this power.

Crack!

My whip collided with Dominic, who charged at me.

Crack!

Crack!

Dominic was frenziedly pouring out flames trying to burn me, but my whip bounced off all of his attacks.

The longer I fought him, the easier I felt using divine energy.

It was like the experience of using divinity etched into my soul was returning.

In contrast, every time we clashed, Dominic’s body bore more and more wounds.

“……Why? Why am I being pushed back!”

Dominic shouted, as if in disbelief.

Crack!

“Ugh!”

In my next move, my whip hit his torso.

He crashed down to the ground, creating a massive crater.

I followed him down to the ground.

The darkness of the cage overlapping with my Rex Omniam felt like it was weakening.

Dominic had reached his limit.

“Ha… ha… I never thought I would be pushed back like this.”

On the ground, Dominic was barely able to rise up, his body in tatters.

“Ha… you, Son of Deus. Ha… you said you would begin the purification. That means… you dare to purify me?”

He gasped for breath, asking me.

“The realm of Deus shall come! I shall purify the tyrant who oppresses the children of Mother.”

“Ha… purify a tyrant, huh. So you really are the Son of God.”

With eyes closed like he had given up everything, Dominic muttered.

“To lose even after gaining the power of a god. That must mean I am up against an opponent I cannot defeat.”

He seemed to be in despair.

But I know.

He’s not that type of person.

“I was promised to kill you and reclaim her. And now, I’ve failed.”

In [Deus Ex Machina], he lost and made different choices.

“I can never reclaim her now! But if I offer myself to them! They promised I could meet her after death!”

Whoooosh!

Divine energy swirled around Dominic.

“Oh no! Lily! We have to stop that!”

He’s trying to summon the God of Evil, ‘Chaos,’ using himself as a sacrifice.

Even after losing to the protagonist’s party in the Nova Empire episode boss battle, Dominic aimed to summon Saros using himself as a vessel.

In that case, the protagonist countered and prevented Saros from being summoned.

“Lily, hurry! This isn’t the time to just watch!”

I’m going to let Dominic be.

“Hehehe. Son of Deus. It’s a pity I can’t witness your downfall myself.”

Right here, I will settle the score with ‘Chaos.’

Crack!

Dominic’s body disintegrated into dust.

And his divinity began to split into two distinct forms and congealed in the air.

From this point onward, I can no longer use Rex Omniam.

If I’m to face ‘Chaos’ after this without Rex Omniam, it’s better to settle it here.

Boom!

Boom!

The two spheres of congealed divinity in the air.

They are likely Saros and Atzoatl; both are likely to come.

Unlike the time in [Deus Ex Machina], since Dominic had ascended to deity status, he could raise the offering to summon both.

Originally, gods aren’t allowed to intervene freely in the middle world.

However, if a certain amount of sacrifices are made, that intervention can be temporarily permitted.

He offered himself, a god, as a sacrifice.

It isn’t surprising both evil gods would descend.

Whooooosh!

The two divine energies, swirling in mid-air, transformed into forms resembling humans.

“You useless fool! You even gave up your divinity but couldn’t do anything right and summoned us! You called it a last resort!”

Atzoatl.

“It can’t be helped; it was beyond expectations. Who’d have thought the Son of Deus would be able to use a ‘unique realm’ in a human body.”

And Saros.

“Oh no… all those guys…!”

Even Lilith, sealed next to me, the three evil gods of ‘Chaos’ were all gathering here.

“If we descend like this, the entire continent will know of our existence! All our past works will be meaningless!”

“It can’t be helped. Even if this reveals our existence to the entire continent, we must eliminate that danger. I intended to make use of Baal, but he vanished somewhere.”

The two evil gods stared intently at me.

“Yes. You’re the one who wiped out my army. The time for revenge has come!”

“I only thought of you as a clever human. I never imagined you’d become such a hindrance.”

Facing off against the two evil gods simultaneously.

This is a scene that never appeared even in [Deus Ex Machina].

Just moments ago, when I was crushing Dominic, I felt fine, but now tension began to rise in my body.

Unlike Dominic, who had just awakened his deity status and was not yet properly restrained, these are high-ranking gods who have spent a long time as deities and could potentially be the main gods of ‘Chaos.’

There’s no way I could maintain the upper hand in a battle against them.

Unless… I can’t stay passive like this.

“Lily! Release my seal! I’ll hold them back!”

Lily, who’s been desperately calling out to me.

Given her consistent attitude towards me from earlier to now, I can’t believe she’s trying to deceive me.

She appears sincere in her intentions.

If she’s someone who has invaded numerous dimensions and defeated many deities, she’d be a powerful ally.

At least she could likely defeat Atzoatl, who recently joined ‘Chaos.’

But I have no intention of freeing her.

Considering the deception she displayed in part 2 of [Deus Ex Machina], I still can’t trust her.

Just in case.

And defeating Saros and Atzoatl simultaneously was part of my initial plan anyway.

All that’s left depends on how well my disciples can hold out while I do so.

Now, we’re at the final stage.

The last step for our son to sit at my right hand.

Everything is prepared.

It may not be the way my son desires, but…

It’s almost time.

My son.

My… love.
