Chapter 57 – Nitra 1
In a shortcut alley in the slums that I entered, two girls were sitting there and blocking the path.
Before I could confirm what they were doing, the shadow of the girl noticed me and turned around to call out to me.
“Oh! It’s Aix, the skewered meat nii-san!”
“Are you perhaps the Goshujin-sama?”
“Um, I’m Nitra and this is my guardian, Lai-nee. What are you doing here?”
Nitra, a young girl with cat ears, happily wiggled them, while Lai-nee looked like a guardian. Ever since I gave Lai-nee the “Elf Spirit Medicine” to cure her illness, she has been calling me Goshujin-sama for some reason.
“Are you not feeling well?”
“Nitra is concerned about this slime.”
“A mud slime?”
There was a mud slime that had been dried in the sun beside them. It was as low-spirited as I was before I quit my job.
“Nii-san, please heal it.”
“Nitra, you shouldn’t be selfish.”
“Indeed, it seems to be unwell. Are you okay?”
When I spoke to it, it vibrated plumply. Even though it was a monster, I felt like I couldn’t just leave it alone. Nitra seemed to be worried too.
“Leave it to me.”
I couldn’t use Heal magic, so I usually just fake it with this.
“Support 1!”
Get well soon!
I want to advocate for the all-purpose Support 1 magic. Well, if anyone else besides me uses it then it’s as useless as a child’s imagined ultimate magic.
When the buff magic hit, the limp mud slime suddenly began to shiver. It seemed it was using Cleanse magic repeatedly, causing its body made of dirty water to change into a clear blue. Wow!
“Nii-san, amazing! It changed color!”
“As expected of you, Goshujin-sama.”
“…Wait, were you actually a blue slime?”
I never knew that mud slime and blue slime were the same species.
“Kyu~!”
The slime happily chirped and jumped with momentum. Then, it landed in the ditch with a splash!
Splash!
Ugh! The ditch water splashed all over me and dirty my clothes.
The excited slime slips and runs energetically along the groove like a lull. The area where the slime passed becomes as clear as a stream.
“Ugh… you slime!” I cursed under my breath.
I wonder if I’ll become a devil servant? Such a dirty expectation disappears like bubbles.
Contrary to my thoughts, the two of them cheered.
“We did it! The slime is back to normal!”
“You’re amazing, Goshujin-sama!”
Their faces were covered in mud, but they shone with respect and excitement.
Perhaps it was not my clothes that were dirty, but my heart. I felt like I was being purified.
“I want to disappear.”
“Anyway, you’re all so dirty,” I said with a smile.
“Ah, the water is cold,” Nitra replied.
“Ugh, your clothes have dirt on them, Goshujin-sama! I’ll beat that ungrateful slime!” Nitra drops her cat ears and Lai-nee clenches her fist with fighting spirit.
Now that I think about it, it’s been getting colder lately.
“No need to beat it. Why don’t you come to my inn if you’re dirty? We have warm water there.”
I can’t use Clean, but the inn where I’m indebted has a bath, washing machine, and dryer. It’s a little boastful.
“Is it okay?”
“Goshujin-sama, it’s my first time, but I’ll do my best.” Nitra looked surprised.
Lai-san had a strange reaction. They’re like friends, so I’ll let them use my magical tools.
“It’s okay, even every day from now on.”
Nitra looks happy and wags her tail, while Lai-nee squirms shyly.
