As soon as Chen Qiaoli donned her defensive artifact, she found herself under attack.
The force was so heavy that it sent her staggering back three steps!
Liu Shunyi was taken aback.
He wasn’t sure how powerful Chen Qiaoli’s defenses were, but he knew she had plenty of them, even fortified with talismans. Yet despite all that, she still got pushed back!
Just how strong was the one who attacked her?
However, when Liu Shunyi saw Shi Changxin now, he was even more dumbfounded.
“Is this Shi Changxin? Why does he look so puny now?”
Liu Shunyi questioned internally.
What puzzled him even more was Shi Changxin’s cultivation level—just reaching the Foundation Establishment Peak?
“Could it be that Ji Suying knocked him down a peg?” Liu Shunyi guessed.
Meanwhile, Shi Changxin was even more shocked.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Qiaoli looked at Liu Shunyi.
“You should leave quickly. Against a guy like him, I only have a 90% chance of winning!”
Liu Shunyi: “…”
Well, 90% chance or not, your expression says the opposite!
After hesitating for a moment, Liu Shunyi shook his head.
“Sister, you back off! I’ll handle this guy!”
Chen Qiaoli glanced at Shi Changxin, then back at Liu Shunyi, before finally nodding.
“Fine, I’ll be waiting up front for you!”
With that, Chen Qiaoli disappeared into the ground.
Liu Shunyi was dumbfounded.
“Wait, you can just leave like that? Isn’t this the part where we’re supposed to struggle together like in the dramas?”
What’s more, Liu Shunyi couldn’t help but feel frustrated.
Chen Qiaoli, isn’t she a Golden Core expert?
And she’s saying her chances against a Foundation Establishment guy are just 90%? How does that add up?
But none of that mattered right now.
With no one around, Liu Shunyi wanted to test his own strength.
Fully disguised, he gave Shi Changxin a dominating glare.

Before he could finish, he saw Shi Changxin flying past him on a sword, chasing after Chen Qiaoli.
Liu Shunyi scratched his head.

Of course, he still had to chase after them.
He was worried that Shi Changxin might get knocked out by Chen Qiaoli.
In reality, Liu Shunyi’s worries weren’t unfounded.
He had just arrived at the battlefield when he saw Shi Changxin trapped within one of Chen Qiaoli’s formations.
Then, she summoned twelve large cauldrons, raining blows down on Shi Changxin.

Every hit made Shi Changxin cough up blood, and his already short figure looked even more diminutive.
Shi Changxin was losing his cool.
He couldn’t win against Ji Suying—he accepted that.
He had originally aimed to feast on a Qi Refinement Ant’s blood, but now this guy had tricked him into a corner where he couldn’t even handle himself!
What was worse, he had already escaped the jaws of death with Ji Suying, but now it felt like he might actually die here!
Because this woman was way too fierce.
She had set up a Sealing Heaven and Earth Great Formation.
Now he had nowhere to run!
“Dammit, am I really going to die here today?”
Shi Changxin was filled with unwillingness.
But he was an incredibly lucky guy.
The crow in the distance saw that things were going south and quickly rushed to save him.
Ignoring Chen Qiaoli’s formation, the crow swooped in, grabbed Shi Changxin by the hair, and vanished.

The crow advised him, “Ji Suying is like the main character of this era—plenty of talents stronger than you, yet none of them can force Ji Suying to draw her sword. But you? You almost made her draw it! You’ve got reason to be proud.”
Shi Changxin looked at the crow, dazed.
“Really?”
The crow nodded.
“You could ask the current talents how many can last three moves against Ji Suying.”
“Forget three moves—most can’t even manage two. You at least held out for two, and Ji Suying nearly had to draw her sword!”
A spark of light returned to Shi Changxin’s eyes.
“Now that you mention it, you might be onto something!”
“And that girl in the turtle shell took advantage of me before I regained my powers, using her level to crush me!”
The crow nodded.
“That’s right! You need to remember, you’re playing in the big leagues here!”
Shi Changxin instantly regained his fighting spirit.
“You’re right.”

The crow nodded again.
“Exactly! So keep your spirits up!”
Suddenly, Shi Changxin’s gaze turned cold as he stared at a figure outside the cave.
It was Liu Shunyi, the Qi Refinement Ant who had been trailing the turtle-shell lady.
Now, Liu Shunyi stepped into the cave holding a massive sword built like a 1.5-meter-long oversized prop.
“Ha! Found you!”
Shi Changxin exploded with rage.
“You pathetic Qi Refinement Ant, do you dare challenge me?”
“Wait!”
Shi Changxin suddenly asked the crow on his shoulder, “Is that turtle lady here?”
The crow shook its head.
“Nope, it’s just him!”
Shi Changxin fumed.
“Kid, I’m gonna kill you today!”
In a flash, Shi Changxin lunged forward and threw a punch at Liu Shunyi’s chest.
“Bang~”
A dull thud echoed.
Liu Shunyi didn’t even flinch or defend himself.
“You, what…”
Shi Changxin stood stunned, staring at Liu Shunyi.
What the heck was this?
Is this really just a Foundation Establishment Ninth Layer practitioner?
Liu Shunyi let out a long sigh.
“You’re really disappointing for someone so weak. But just step aside; I’m not here for you!”
With that, Liu Shunyi reached out and grabbed the crow sitting on Shi Changxin’s shoulder.
“Caw caw caw…”
The crow squawked wildly.
And Liu Shunyi flashed a cruel smile.
