Chapter 17: Ronma Dungeon

Chapter 17: Ronma Dungeon

I entered Ronma Dungeon with my usual four companions: Iris, Rose, Mint, and Cattleya.

The gatekeeper at the entrance gave us a look that seemed to question our sanity for venturing into the dungeon—a maid and a nobleman—but he didn’t say a word.

After walking through a tunnel that resembled a cave, we emerged into a wide area that looked like a grassland.

This was definitely a strange space that didn’t feel like a cave at all; this was a dungeon.

My excitement was through the roof.

“Whoa, there’s a slime in the distance! Oh, it’s coming this way!”

As I reached for the gun belt I had prepared for this day, ready to take my shot—

“De-yah!”

With Rose’s battle cry, she cleaved the slime in two with her saber.

“Rose! That was my target! Why did you take it down?”

“Come on now, it’s my duty to protect you, Young Master! It’s my job to make sure you don’t get too close!”

Lies! She just wanted to relive her glory days from when she was an adventurer and take down monsters!

Well then, let’s see if I can take it out before she gets within range, even if it means my accuracy suffers.

“For now, I’ll collect the magic stones.”

Ignoring our banter, Iris swiftly collected the slime’s magic stone into her storage bag.

From the right side of the forest, two more slimes appeared.

I quickly aimed my gun and fired.

“Gotcha! Hit!”

I took one down just five meters away and glanced at Rose.

“Tch.”

She clicked her tongue in frustration.

I wasn’t about to let her take down a single monster like this!

As we moved across the grassland, I kept shooting slimes one after another.

It felt just like a gun-shooting game, and I was enjoying myself.

Rose looked a bit frustrated, but it was because she was interfering with the Young Master’s leveling up.

As I reloaded after firing six shots, a slime appeared from behind a rock.

Rose jumped in front of me and took it out immediately.

Looking pleased, she said, “Young Master, you can’t let your guard down. Hehehe!”

As we continued competing to take down monsters like that, I suddenly felt something strange about my body; I felt lighter.

“It seems your level has increased,” Mint said while observing me.

As a half-elf, Mint was knowledgeable about magic and quickly noticed changes in my body.

Of course, her appraisal level was probably higher than mine.
