Chapter 11: Shameless Behavior
Everyone present was stunned by the scene.
“Call the police! Hurry and call the police!” Leyi Zhang urged, then lowered her head to comfort Yeyun Ye, “It’s okay, Yeyun, it’s okay.”
“Look at this mess! This person has a huge hole in him, he’s not dead, is he?”
“Honestly, I think Fang Wu had it coming.”
“How did it turn into this all of a sudden? Did she fail to seduce him?”
The malice of gossip always arrived so suddenly.
Yeyun Ye leaned into Leyi Zhang’s embrace, tears silently falling.
Jingxian Xiang looked at the text message she received, a smug smile playing on her lips. She had learned that Yeyun Ye was coming to work this morning.
She didn’t need to guess that Yeyun Ye must have used some despicable means to get Xiuqi Chi to agree. Jingxian Xiang naturally followed him to the company, claiming to bring Xiuqi Chi some soup.
The office door was pushed open at that moment.
Xiuqi Chi’s personal assistant, Yuexiang Yang, hurried in and informed Xiuqi Chi about what had happened with Yeyun Ye.
Xiuqi Chi frowned, tossed the documents in his hand onto the desk, and was about to go see what was going on. Seeing this, Jingxian Xiang immediately followed.
Inside the elevator, Xiuqi Chi silently pressed the floor button. Jingxian Xiang could clearly feel the suppressed anger of the man beside her.
“Xiuqi, don’t be too angry. Sister might have just been confused for a moment.” Jingxian Xiang pretended to be sad and wiped away tears, “I spoke too harshly that day, and she said she would ruin herself to punish me. I thought she was just speaking carelessly, but I didn’t expect her to actually do such a foolish thing.”
Seeing Jingxian Xiang’s self-blame, Xiuqi Chi hesitated for a moment before slowly pulling her into his arms, “She’s the one who doesn’t cherish herself. It has nothing to do with you.”
He thought Yeyun Ye would behave herself at the company, but he never expected her to dare to act so shamelessly right under his nose!
As Xiuqi Chi stepped out of the elevator, he saw Fang Wu being carried away on a stretcher.
The crowd, who had been discussing the matter moments before, suddenly fell silent upon seeing Xiuqi Chi, their eyes darting between Jingxian Xiang and Yeyun Ye.
Seeing the bloodstains on the ground, Xiuqi Chi frowned with disgust. He raised his hand and covered Jingxian Xiang’s eyes, “It’s too dirty here. Wait for me upstairs. I’ll take you to dinner after I’m done here.”
Feeling the man’s care and tenderness, Jingxian Xiang’s heart fluttered. “Okay,” she said, her voice filled with genuine shyness.
After agreeing, Jingxian Xiang didn’t forget her purpose. Before leaving, she added, “Manager was wronged in this matter. If Sister hadn’t acted so impulsively and irresponsibly, it wouldn’t have escalated to this.”
The mere mention of it gave Xiuqi Chi a headache, and more so, it made him impatient with Yeyun Ye. After Jingxian Xiang left, Xiuqi Chi yanked Yeyun Ye out of Leyi Zhang’s embrace, “How long are you going to pretend?”
Yeyun Ye almost stumbled to the ground from Xiuqi Chi’s rough movement. She felt the surrounding malicious gazes magnify infinitely.
“Xiuqi, can you take me away from here… I really… I really don’t want to be here anymore…”
Yeyun Ye’s words were no longer coherent. She kept using her hands to wipe away the nauseating marks on her neck.
Xiuqi Chi watched her every reaction, his eyes narrowing. He grabbed Yeyun Ye’s wrist and leaned close to her ear, saying each word distinctly, “Do you think doing this will make me feel heartbroken? It only makes me feel more disgusted.”
Xiuqi Chi’s gaze swept coldly over the employees who were eager to watch the drama, “If you don’t want to work properly, then all of you can get lost.”
Then, without any regard for Yeyun Ye’s physical condition, he roughly dragged her away.
The arriving police officers knew Xiuqi Chi’s identity. Seeing his interaction with Yeyun Ye, they hesitantly asked, “Mr. Chi, do you need us to take this young lady in for questioning?”
“No!” Upon hearing this, Yeyun Ye’s unfocused gaze finally sharpened. She clutched Xiuqi Chi’s sleeve and shook her head desperately.
“You’re going whether you want to or not.” The man’s words were devoid of warmth. After speaking, he handed Yeyun Ye over to the police.
After the police car disappeared from his sight, Yuexiang Yang walked up behind Xiuqi Chi, “Mr. Chi, it was the madam who sent an email to Fang Wu… that email has since been deleted.”
So it seemed Yeyun Ye had actively seduced Fang Wu?
Hearing this news, the hidden aggression in Xiuqi Chi boiled over, “As expected, a shameless woman.”
Yuxun Xia, who was at the hospital, received Yeyun Ye’s call and immediately rushed to the police station without taking sick leave. As soon as he got out of the car, he bumped into a man in a crisp suit.
“Xiuqi Chi! Even if you don’t like Yeyun, you can’t slander her like this for no reason!”
Thinking of Yeyun Ye’s current predicament, Yuxun Xia lunged forward, wanting to drag Xiuqi Chi down with him, but was impassively blocked by Yuexiang Yang.
Xiuqi Chi ignored Yuxun Xia’s irrelevant remarks. With a cold laugh, he strode into the police station.
Yeyun Ye had just finished her statement, her face pale and devoid of life.
“You’ve truly exceeded my expectations.”
Hearing the familiar mocking voice, Yeyun Ye subconsciously held her breath.
Seeing Yeyun Ye’s silence, Xiuqi Chi became even more agitated. He stepped forward and pinned her against the wall, “You’ve already seduced someone, why back down? Are you naturally inclined to use such despicable schemes? Do you know that Fang Wu’s current condition could bankrupt you? Did you call Yuxun Xia, wanting your adulterer to pay your debts? If Feng Ye knew that the daughter he raised was a shameless woman, he probably wouldn’t be able to rest in peace in his coffin!”
Xiuqi Chi’s words grew more venomous with each sentence. Yeyun Ye’s face paled further with every word she heard. His words were spoken without reservation, and some passing police officers looked at Yeyun Ye with disdain.
When Xiuqi Chi uttered his last sentence, Yeyun Ye could no longer bear it and pushed him away. The action seemed to have exhausted all her strength. Yeyun Ye leaned weakly against the wall, “Yes, I’m promiscuous, I’m shameless… Please let me go, Xiuqi Chi…”
Yeyun Ye didn’t know when Xiuqi Chi left. She was consumed by overwhelming self-loathing until Yuxun Xia approached her.
“Yeyun, come stay at my place. You can’t have too much contact with him in your current condition. I’ll take good care of you. Even if you don’t think for yourself, you have to consider the child.”
Yeyun Ye didn’t pay much attention to what Yuxun Xia said, merely nodding vaguely.
