Chapter 43: Defeated
With crystalline eyes, a finely shaped jade-like nose, rosy lips, and long blue-white hair fluttering, she appeared ethereal.
Her skin, as pale as sheep fat and jade, seemed fragile to the touch, and her graceful figure was perfectly curvaceous, with not a single flaw. The alluring black stockings on her snowy white legs made it impossible for anyone to look away.
Her expression was cold, tinged with a hint of chill, but just a slight smile was enough to captivate anyone’s soul.
She embodied unparalleled beauty that could make all males’ hearts race and invoke envy in all females, as if a goddess had descended, becoming an everlasting memory in the hearts of all beings present.
“Woman, woman…”
At the moment Alicia revealed her true form, the goblin tribe erupted in chaos.
According to their agreement, all the women acquired in this operation were their spoils of war.
This woman before them was no exception.
If they could defeat her, she would belong to all of them.
Thinking of this, a few goblins lost their composure, shouting as they charged at Alicia.
But, in the next moment.
“Boom!”
As the massive hammer crashed down, the Ogre Chieftain looked at the ground smeared with flesh and coldly said, “Did you hear what I said? She is my prey.”
“Chirp chirp, babble babble…” A wave of strong protests erupted among the goblin tribe.
However, the Ogre Chieftain merely glanced at them, and their overwhelming presence silenced them all.
“Woman, you have successfully caught my attention,” the Ogre Chieftain said slowly. “You are very beautiful with strong combat power, quite suitable to be my wife.”
Alicia raised an eyebrow, having long anticipated that the Ogre Chieftain would say this.
“However, it’s a pity that I cannot agree to your request.”
“What?” Alicia replied, a bit surprised.
“We are ogres, not goblins, and we don’t think with our lower bodies,” the Ogre Chieftain stated. “You are indeed alluring, but I’m not a fool. If I let the villagers go, would you truly fight with me wholeheartedly? With your speed, you might vanish in the blink of an eye.”
Alicia narrowed her eyes, realizing that the ogre’s intelligence seemed much higher than she had imagined. “Then what do you want? I won’t fight you as long as both sides aren’t evenly matched.”
“Here’s the deal: You fight me first, and if you manage to defeat me, I will let you and the villagers leave. I swear as the leader of the Snufthal tribe that even if I die in battle, my kin will escort you to safety according to our agreement.”
“But conversely, if I win, I will mark you as my slave, strip you of your power, and keep you imprisoned by my side for life.”
The Ogre Chieftain asked, “Will you accept this condition?”
Alicia pondered for a moment. The strength of the witch church priestess and the surrounding giant goblins was not particularly high. Under the current circumstances, gaining the protection of the ogre tribe seemed the best choice.
“Fine, I agree to your request,” Alicia replied.
The Ogre Chieftain grinned, revealing sharp fangs. “Good, then we…”
But before the Ogre Chieftain could finish speaking, Rodney Devon interjected, “Snufthal, please wait a moment.”
The Ogre Chieftain frowned, showing an unhappy expression. “What? Do you have any objections to this wager?”
“No, no, of course not,” Rodney Devon smiled slightly. Though he had some reservations, he would never voice them, knowing that disagreeing would mean facing the Ogre Chieftain’s massive hammer. “I just wanted to offer you some assistance.”
Saying this, Rodney Devon pulled out a small syringe from his storage item.
“What is this?” the Ogre Chieftain asked in confusion.
“It’s a new drug we developed,” Rodney Devon smiled.
“A new drug? Interesting.”
Rodney Devon exchanged smiles with the Ogre Chieftain before directly injecting the silver liquid from the syringe into its body.
On the other side, Alicia naturally noticed what was happening over there.
The Eye of Truth activated instantly.
[Identification Failed]
Alicia frowned slightly.
Was she being interfered with?
It seemed the syringe had some advanced identification shielding magic formation inscribed on it, which caused the Eye of Truth’s identification to fail.
The Ogre Chieftain approached slowly, twisting its neck. “So, woman, are you ready for battle?”
Alicia nodded gently. Though her condition was somewhat poor, she had no time to recover.
The effect of the dragon blood was about to wear off.
“Holoran, the Great Chieftain of the Snufthal tribe,” the Ogre Chieftain proclaimed loudly while raising its heavy hammer.
Alicia raised her slender sword, holding it horizontally in front of her. “Alicia, a typical passerby with a sense of justice.”
The two locked gazes, and in the next moment, they both charged forward like cannonballs.
“Clang!”
“Clash!”
The sound of sword meeting hammer echoed throughout the cave.
Due to exhaustion, Alicia’s speed was nowhere near what it had been before. Meanwhile, after a brief rest, the Ogre Chieftain had essentially returned to peak fighting form.
Alicia moved quickly, akin to a golden fleeting shadow, searching for a flaw in the Ogre Chieftain’s defense. Her battle qi and mana were running low, and she figured she could only land one deadly strike.
The Ogre Chieftain swung its massive hammer repeatedly, indifferent to Alicia’s beauty, as its dignity as a leader outweighed the allure of a woman.
Finally, the Ogre Chieftain spotted an opening.
[Gravitational Lock]
Gravity surged, instantly magnified a hundredfold, causing Alicia to feel immense weight and drop to her knees.
In an instant, the giant hammer came crashing down on her.
But instead of panicking, Alicia smiled brightly.
She had deliberately revealed a flaw, and the **demon clan had indeed taken the bait.
A bright gemstone slid directly into Alicia’s palm.
[Teleport]
The spatial attribute magic power within the gemstone erupted, causing Alicia to vanish from beneath the Ogre Chieftain’s hammer in an instant and reappear at the back of its head.
Golden light enveloped Alicia as the power of the dragon blood fully erupted.
[Source Heart: Piercing]
With her slender sword, golden dragon flames rose.
The magical defense broke, the battle qi defense broke, and the skin defense broke.
Alicia stood on the Ogre Chieftain’s shoulder, her slender sword piercing deep into its brain.
She had won.
A victorious smile spread across Alicia’s face.
Although piercing through the ogre’s brain wasn’t enough to kill it, it would temporarily incapacitate it.
Just like the current Ogre Chieftain, it had completely succumbed to rigidity, allowing her to do as she pleased.
But in that moment, an eerie silver energy surged from the wound on the back of the Ogre Chieftain’s head.
“Crack!”
The silver energy climbed up the slender sword, and with a crisp snap, the precious weapon that had accompanied her for hundreds of years and was upgraded to 12 and altered to 8 shattered effortlessly.
“Eh?”
Alicia paused in confusion, not understanding what had happened.
How could this indestructible sword, which had been with her for so long, break so easily?
What was that silver energy?
While Alicia was momentarily stunned, the silver energy unexpectedly followed her magical power and entered her body.
Alicia panicked, hastily trying to expel it from her body.
But she couldn’t.
Whether it was magical power or battle qi, the instant they encountered that silver energy, they had completely dissipated.
“Boom.”
In the next instant, Alicia crashed to the ground, her body convulsing violently with visible veins bulging and blood gushing from her mouth, as if she had been poisoned.
And in that moment, the injury on the Ogre Chieftain’s head had already healed, and it slowly turned around, intending to grasp Alicia as one would a toy.
“Hey, woman, you lost,” the Ogre Chieftain laughed sinisterly.
