Chapter 19: The Reappearance of the Demon King
As Elrose’s voice rang out, the restaurant instantly fell silent.
Guests directed their gazes toward her, holding their wine glasses and waiting for a good show to unfold.
Feeling the burning stares around him, Bardel sensed his loss of dignity.
However, he wasn’t particularly angry.
After all, only such an arrogant demeanor could match her exquisite beauty.
If she were as shallow as those superficial women who easily succumbed, it would be far too unchallenging.
The more arrogant the woman, the greater the sense of accomplishment in conquering her.
Bardel smiled slightly, “Oh, I apologize, beautiful miss. I must have offended you.”
Elrose frowned.
Well, isn’t this interesting? She isn’t angry?
Could it be that I went too easy on her?
“Smack!”
Without another word, she slapped him again.
“Eh?”
Bardel was dumbfounded.
What just happened? Why did I get hit again?
“Miss, what do you mean by this?”
Elrose clapped her small hands and said nonchalantly, “Oh, I have a bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder; after slapping the left side, I just have to slap the right side to feel right again.”
“Ha!”
“Hahaha!”
“You’ve got to be kidding me, hitting someone while discussing symmetry?”
“This little girl is too amusing.”
The restaurant erupted in laughter, with guests pounding the tables, laughing until tears streamed down their faces.
“You…” Bardel’s expression darkened completely, “Do you dare to toy with me? Do you know who I am?”
“I don’t know, nor do I want to know.” Elrose dismissed him, saying, “I have other work to attend to. Enjoy your meal.”
With that, Elrose turned to leave.
“Hey, stop right there.”
Bardel certainly couldn’t let Elrose walk away like that. He quickly got up and grabbed her left hand.
Elrose’s expression changed, and she struck back with another slap.
But this time, Bardel was prepared; he easily caught her right wrist, blocking the slap.
“Hey, miss, you can’t just act all high and mighty and then run away. That seems inappropriate,” Bardel sneered.
Elrose was too lazy to argue. She lifted her knee and directly thrust it toward Bardel’s groin.
However, Bardel was an experienced adventurer; he easily deflected the playful attack from the young girl.
“Wow, miss, you really are fiery.”
Elrose’s eyes were icy, visibly annoyed: “Let go!”
“Hey, I won’t let go. What can you do about it?”
With a scoff, Bardel said, “Little girl, quickly apologize to me, or else… heh.”
“Bah!”
Elrose spat directly onto Bardel’s face.
Apologize?
What a joke.
You, thinking with your lower body, are worthy of that?
If I still had my powers, I’d blast you out of existence in an instant.
The saliva dripped down Bardel’s face, and he felt an unprecedented humiliation.
Battle Qi, activate!
“Bardel!” At that moment, Luna, who was at the cash register, slammed her hand down and shouted, “Do you dare to act rough in my family’s establishment?”
“Miss Luna, you’ve got it all wrong; it was your staff who made the first move,” Bardel replied with a cold laugh, increasing his grip.
As Bardel’s strength intensified, Elrose’s expression began to look increasingly bleak.
Seeing this, Luna stopped wasting words and channeled her mana; a complex small magic circle appeared in her hands.
“Oh, spirits dancing in the flame, transform your fury into strength and defeat my enemy—Fireball Spell!”
A fireball launched straight at Bardel’s forehead.
However,
“Ding!”
A bright light flashed from the crystal necklace around Bardel’s neck, instantly halting Luna’s fireball.
Seeing this, Bardel laughed loudly: “Everyone says that Luna from the Night Moon Star restaurant is a rare magical prodigy, but I see she’s not all that after all.”
“Magic Armor.” Luna gritted her teeth, her displeasure reaching its peak.
Damn it, wearing this magic armor is utterly ridiculous.
If it weren’t for being inside the restaurant where I can’t use advanced magic, I’d send you up in flames with a Firestorm.
Tsk, there’s no choice; I’ll have to call Kendrick for help.
Thinking this, Luna left the cash register and hurried toward the kitchen.
Watching her leave, Bardel’s smile widened: “Hey, little girl, your friend has left. Are you still going to resist?”
“Idiot, it’s obvious that Luna went to the kitchen for help,” Elrose retorted.
“Help?” Bardel sneered, “It won’t matter who she calls. Just to warn you, don’t be shocked, but not even in this shabby border town or anywhere in the entire Garcean territory would anyone dare to touch me.”
Saying this, Bardel raised both of Elrose’s hands; he grabbed her wrists with one hand while slowly reaching toward her body with the other.
Seeing this, some justice-minded guests couldn’t sit idly by.
Damn, in broad daylight, harassing a girl, can we tolerate this?
But they were all held back by their companions.
As Bardel said, he was the son of Count Garcean; in the Garcean territory, no matter what he did, the Count and Countess would clean up after him.
It would be foolish to offend a powerful family for a girl they didn’t even know.
Elrose struggled desperately, but the truth was, she was just a frail little girl, with no strength to match Bardel.
Seeing this, Bardel cackled: “Haha, stinky girl, since you refuse to apologize with your mouth, then use your body to do it!”
Elrose’s face was filled with disgust.

Filthy scum, don’t touch me!!!
At that moment, a surge of dark mana was unleashed from Elrose’s bracelet, and a chilling sensation instantly spread.
Bardel froze for a moment, suddenly feeling a headache, shaking his head vigorously.
When he opened his eyes again, everything had changed.
Darkness, boundless darkness.
Bardel felt bewildered.
What’s going on? Where am I?
At that moment,
“Human.”
A cold voice, like an abyss, sounded behind Bardel. He turned sharply and was instantly frozen in fear.
What… what is that?
A hideous face, a black body, terrifying blades, deep red eyes.
Bardel only glanced at it and was filled with terror.
That was a horror beyond human description.
That was a calamity that could obliterate the world, the nightmare of existence, an endless abyss.
That was something humanity could never overcome.
On a high throne, the dark Demon King gazed at the tiny human before him, an overwhelming pressure cascading down as if all things should bow in submission.
It’s over, it’s over, it’s over…
The moment he saw that being, Bardel thought he was already dead, feeling he had no hope of survival whatsoever.
However, in reality, the Demon King had no intention of killing him; he simply said one sentence.
“Don’t touch her.”

Luna rushed back to the front with everyone in a flurry.
“Will the Angelic Onee-san be okay?” Stella’s small face was filled with worry; she had been in the kitchen preparing for orders and didn’t know what had happened in the front.
Lilith clenched her fists and said, “Damn it, Bardel, how dare he bully my family in my own restaurant? I’ll smash his head in!”
Kendrick’s expression was more complex.
Bardel Garcean, son of Count Garcean…
Sigh, what a hassle.
When everyone arrived at the front, they found the guests gathered together, unsure of what they were watching.
“Hey, hey, move aside, make way!”
They quickly pushed through the crowd to find Elrose standing in the center looking bewildered.
And in front of her lay the unconscious Bardel.
At this moment, Bardel’s eyes were rolling back, mouth agape, tears, snot, and saliva flowing freely, and his lower body was completely soaked, a strong odor of urine permeating the entire room.
Luna hurried to Bardel’s side, crouching down to feel his wrist.
Soon, Luna stood up and said, “Fortunately, he’s not dead; he’s just unconscious.”
“But why did he suddenly faint?” Lilith asked, confused.
Luna cast a deep glance at Elrose beside her: “You might want to ask the Little Belle about that.”
“Ah? You’re asking me?” Elrose replied, bewildered. “I don’t know either!”
