Chapter 11: Killing Hun Tian in Front of the Demon Emperor

Cough!

Hun Tian spat blood from the corner of his mouth, transforming it into demonic energy, but it was quickly dispersed by Qin Bei.

Bang!

Another punch landed, and Hun Tian’s divine demonic body could finally take no more and reverted back to its original form.

“Could this guy actually want to kill Hun Tian?” Huan Ming said, looking at Qin Bei in horror.

“I’m afraid so. That punch was aimed right at the heart! Hun Tian won’t withstand it,” Mu Zhaoxue also remarked, surprised by Qin Bei’s ruthless approach.

After all, this was a prince of the Holy Demon Dynasty with a divine demonic body, an absolute contender. The fact that Qin Bei wanted to kill him was effectively signing his own death warrant against the Holy Demon Dynasty.

On the battlefield, Qin Bei shifted from fist to claw, reaching for Hun Tian’s heart.

Hun Tian tried to resist, but it was futile. At that moment, he finally crushed the jade slip in his hand.

Just as this strike was about to land, Wu You could no longer hold back.

“Stop!”

Wu You shouted angrily, rushing into the barrier, eager to prevent Qin Bei’s blow from falling.

Qin Bei had been prepared. Before Wu You could make a move, he grabbed Hun Tian and dodged to safety.

“How dare you!”

The eunuch beside Emperor Xia sensed the situation and sprang into action, appearing instantly in front of Qin Bei.

“Messenger, please show some restraint!”

“You’re going too far!” Wu You fumed, the aura of the Immortal King filling the Golden Luan Hall. Some of the lower-ranked princes couldn’t take it anymore.

Fortunately, the eunuch was no ordinary person, effectively dissipating Wu You’s pressure.

“You, the Holy Demon Dynasty, chose today, the day of peace between my Great Xia Dynasty and Wu Nation, to cause chaos. You must have expected this outcome; simply put, your skills are lacking.”

“Wu You! You’ve disregarded the agreement and shown contempt for Great Xia’s imperial authority. I hereby strip you of your cultivation and throw you in prison!” Emperor Xia’s voice boomed, like thunder crashing down on Wu You.

Emperor Xia pointed, and Wu You, with his Immortal King realm, had no power to resist. Just as it looked like he was about to be incapacitated, a finger appeared in the void, countering Emperor Xia’s attack.

“Emperor Xia, you should show mercy when possible. They’ve already lost; let them go.”

A figure in a black dragon robe materialized in the Golden Luan Hall; it was the emperor of the Holy Demon Dynasty, the Demon Emperor!

The appearance of the Demon Emperor did not surprise Emperor Xia, nor did he respond to his words.

Observing the scene, the Demon Emperor glanced at Qin Bei and Hun Tian.

“You’re quite powerful. It’s no shame for Hun Tian to be defeated by you. Release him, and I can help your prince recover from his injuries.” The Demon Emperor’s words were flat, devoid of any emotion.

Qin Bei looked at Emperor Xia, who remained silent; it was clear he wanted Qin Bei to decide.

This was also a test for him.

Qin Bei understood Hun Tian’s significance to the Holy Demon Dynasty. If he harmed Hun Tian, it would undoubtedly provoke the wrath of the Demon Emperor, making him a target for future vendettas.

The smart choice was to let Hun Tian go now, thereby treating Qin Zhen’s injuries, allowing both parties to move on.

But Qin Bei had never been one to shy away from trouble, nor was he afraid of it!

The Holy Demon Dynasty had the audacity to come to Great Xia and slap him in the face. If Hun Tian were allowed to leave unscathed, then everyone in the Great Xia royal family would be held accountable!

“Fine, take him!”

As soon as Qin Bei said this, a collective sigh of relief swept through the ministers. This prince wasn’t bad; he knew how to weigh the pros and cons.

Emperor Xia glanced at Qin Bei, remaining silent.

Regardless of how Qin Bei chose, he would support him; this choice had merit, though it was lacking in bloodiness.

“Smart choice.” The Demon Emperor smiled and reached out, prepared to accept the now powerless Hun Tian from Qin Bei.

Bang!

Suddenly, the sound of a hand piercing flesh echoed.

Everyone turned in shock toward the source of the sound, the atmosphere so tense you could hear a pin drop.

Tick… Tick…

Qin Bei looked at the bright red heart still twitching in his hand, then at the Demon Emperor, displaying a mocking expression.

“Here, take it.”

With that, Qin Bei tossed Hun Tian, who had zero life signs, to the feet of the Demon Emperor.

“This… Xiao Bei has gone mad! This is a mortal enemy!”

“Humph, even if he hadn’t killed Hun Tian, once the folks from the Holy Demon Dynasty learn of Xiao Bei’s talent, they’ll still come after him, thwarting his growth.”

“Exactly! This is how it should be done to preserve our Great Xia royal family’s dignity!”

After the initial shock, the princes began to murmur amongst themselves.

The Demon Emperor stared at Hun Tian’s corpse on the floor, and even he wore a mask of fury.

His anger stemmed not from Qin Bei killing Hun Tian, but from the mockery reflected in Qin Bei’s eyes.

The lad completely disregarded the Demon Emperor, showing not an ounce of respect.

“Kid, you’re provoking me!”

No sooner had he spoken than the Demon Emperor appeared right in front of Qin Bei. Qin Bei had absolutely no ability to resist; yet, he stood his ground, watching the Demon Emperor’s attack approach.

“Demon Emperor, do you think I don’t exist? You dare to attack in your incarnation state?”

As Emperor Xia spoke, his power surged forward.

The Demon Emperor’s incarnation was instantly paralyzed.

“Hmph! Emperor Xia, I’ll remember this debt!”

The Demon Emperor wrapped up Hun Tian’s body and waved his hand, preparing to take Wu You away.

“I said Wu You ignored the rules, disrespected the imperial authority of Great Xia, and even assaulted royal family members; his crimes are unforgivable. His cultivation will be abolished, and he will be incarcerated!”

Emperor Xia stated coolly, but the weight of his words resonated like thunder in everyone’s minds.

At that moment, Wu You was completely dumbfounded. Although he had the cultivation level of a Immortal King and could be revered as a guest of honor elsewhere, standing before Emperor Xia, he couldn’t muster an ounce of resistance.

He deeply regretted having acted against Qin Bei in a moment of rashness, but it was too late. From the instant he attacked, his fate was sealed.

Not to mention, the Demon Emperor was merely an incarnation right now; even if the real Demon Emperor appeared, if he didn’t wish to start a war, Wu You would have to comply with Emperor Xia’s orders.

“Kid, you will pay for your actions today.”

Before departing, the Demon Emperor glanced at Qin Bei.

He aimed to plant a seed of fear in Qin Bei’s heart, hoping to undermine his cultivation to some degree.

Yet Qin Bei only responded with a smirk, not taking his words to heart. Perhaps he understood that this was a world where the strong preyed on the weak; he had already braced himself for such realities.

“Hmph!”

Emperor Xia snorted coldly from his throne. Just before the Demon Emperor vanished, he stumbled slightly, a clear indication that he’d suffered from Emperor Xia’s counterattack.

Those from Wu Nation below had also grasped just how protective Emperor Xia could be.

Those who dared strike would be swiftly incapacitated, and even threats made by a mere incarnation of the Demon Emperor would be dealt with a blow.

A classic example of “why bother with words when fists can do the talking?”

“Bring him down; subdue Wu You.”

With a wave of his hand, Emperor Xia ordered. Wu You’s face turned beet red, and he immediately spat out a mouthful of blood, feeling his cultivation deteriorating. His gaze grew increasingly vacant and devoid of life.

He knew, without a doubt, that his life was effectively over.
