Chapter 41: The Treatment of a Genius
At this moment, Ye Yan didn’t think too much.
First, he graciously thanked Elder Qingteng for his kind offer.
Then he turned to Ji Suying and said, “Senior Sister, I wish to join the Cangjian Peak!”
Ji Suying smiled widely. “Great! From today on, you are an Inner Disciple of the Cangjian Peak.”
With that, Ji Suying handed Ye Yan a waist token and a storage bag.
Inside the storage bag, it wasn’t exactly luxurious, but it was packed with cultivation resources for Foundation Establishment.
Ye Yan stared at the storage bag, somewhat dazed.
Ji Suying laughed. “When you run out, just ask me for more. Cangjian Peak may not have much, but we definitely have enough resources for cultivation!”
Ye Yan felt a surge of excitement inside. “Thank you, Senior Sister!”
Ji Suying nodded. “Okay, come with me back to Cangjian Peak!”
Ye Yan nodded in agreement.
However, Elder Qingteng’s expression was far from pleasant at this time. He even shot a glance at Ye Yan that contained a hint of hostility.
Of course, he hid it well. On the surface, he pretended to be regretful and smiled. “Ah, I finally found a good seedling, and you stole him away!”
Suddenly, the surroundings underwent a bizarre transformation as plants started to grow wildly. A female disciple emerged from the secret realm.
With every step she took, rows of green plants sprang up from the ground.

“And you already have a decent disciple,” he added.
Ji Suying shook her head. “Who would ever reject a good disciple in their ranks?”
Elder Qingteng ceased the argument, instead addressing the female disciple. “You should have heard of my Qingniao Peak; we’re mostly wood cultivators, and even the peak master is a wood cultivator. Child, believe me, there’s no place better suited for you than Qingniao Peak.”
The female disciple nodded at this. “I wish to join Qingniao Peak!”
Elder Qingteng laughed heartily. “Haha! Good, good! I assure you, choosing Qingniao Peak is a decision you will never regret!”
He even bestowed her an identity token and a storage bag, showing off his generosity like it was nothing.
A top-quality wood-based magical item. A top-quality wood outfit, as well as cultivation resources and spirit stones that could practically make anyone’s eyes dazzle.
Elder Qingteng even threw a smug glance at Ji Suying.
However, Ji Suying merely smiled, unfazed.
Instead, she turned to look at Ye Yan, and upon noticing he didn’t care either, she felt even more relieved.

But as luck would have it, someone placed a hand on his shoulder.
Liu Shunyi turned to see—good heavens—it was Ji Suying!
He quickly adjusted his voice and greeted her, “Greetings, Senior Sister Ji!”
Ji Suying snorted dismissively. “Oh, not bad, huh? One trip to the secret realm, and your cultivation has reached Qi Refinement Sixth Stage!”
Liu Shunyi quickly lowered his head. “Just luck, just luck!”
Ji Suying chuckled softly. “Kid, follow me!”
Liu Shunyi scratched his head. “Senior Sister, I, uh, my stomach hurts!”
Ji Suying shot back, “Then let it hurt!”
Liu Shunyi: “…”
“Are you coming or not? If not, I’ll have to invite you in my own way!”
Ji Suying said to Liu Shunyi with a light smile.
“Okay, okay, I’m going, I’ll go with you!”
Then, Liu Shunyi followed Ji Suying out.

On the way there, they had come together on a flying boat.
Upon leaving, they split into two groups.
Because this time in the secret realm, Ji Suying had gathered some of her disciples, while Elder Qingteng had done the same.
Ultimately, both were taking their disciples back to their respective peaks.
But now, on the deck of the flying boat, Liu Shunyi felt entirely uncomfortable.

After saying that, Ji Suying looked back at her disciples, the meaning clear as day.
She was telling them that although Liu Shunyi’s cultivation was low, he was still a Third-Stage Alchemist—one worthy of respect.
If they wanted to keep munching on pills later, they surely couldn’t afford to offend him.

Liu Shunyi shook his head. “That’s because he sent me to a terrifying area inside the secret realm where I almost died!”
Ji Suying instantly understood. “I see! He was pretty discreet about it. But I suppose you took a rough deal; without evidence, there’s nothing we can say!”
At this point, Ji Suying looked at Liu Shunyi again. “What ability was attached to the Mixed Yuan Pearl after foundation establishment? And what’s so special about the Undying Mixed Yuan Scripture?”
Liu Shunyi was left speechless.
Ji Suying smiled lightly. “I sensed you don’t have the Mixed Yuan Pearl on you, so I guessed.”
