Chapter 15: Giving Her to Another Man
Hearing Yeyun Ye’s words, Xiuqi Chi simply smiled noncommittally, “I told you long ago, don’t overestimate yourself in front of me.”
With that, Xiuqi Chi pointed towards the door, “Get out.”
Yeyun Ye didn’t move at her words. She clutched the leather sofa tightly beneath her hands, “You can’t imprison Yuxun.”
From the moment Yeyun Ye entered, she had either called him by his full name or “Mr. Chi.” Yet, to an outsider, she spoke of Yuxun so intimately.
Xiuqi Chi didn’t realize he was jealous. After a cold laugh, he said, “If you behave yourself, he’ll suffer less physical pain, of course.”
Saying this, and finding Yeyun Ye’s presence in the office eyesore, he called for bodyguards, “Take her away.”
Upon hearing Xiuqi Chi’s command, the bodyguards stepped forward to drag Yeyun Ye away. She bit her lip tightly.
“Bang.”
Xiuqi Chi turned his head, only to see Yeyun Ye kneeling directly in front of him.
Seeing this, Xiuqi Chi’s brow twitched fiercely. He waved for the bodyguards to leave first.
“Xiuqi Chi, isn’t this what you wanted? Don’t you just want to see me in distress?” Yeyun Ye said, her eyes already red. “I admit my mistakes to you, I beg you, don’t involve Yuxun in the matters between us, please.” The woman lowered her head, her plea delivered with such sincerity.
“For another man, you kneel and beg me?”
Xiuqi Chi’s voice sounded mocking, but if Yeyun Ye had looked up at that moment, she would have seen his face contorted with uncontrollable rage.
Even Xiuqi Chi hadn’t realized he was jealous at that moment.
“I have no other way,” Yeyun Ye’s voice sounded somewhat forlorn. “Xiuqi Chi, let him go. Don’t drag innocent people into our affairs.”
Yeyun Ye knew how cruel Xiuqi Chi’s methods were. She had witnessed it in the past few days and didn’t want any more innocent people to suffer.
Xiuqi Chi certainly didn’t consider Yuxun Xia innocent.
That man had repeatedly tested his patience and even laid hands on him when leaving the hospital. If it weren’t for the fact that Yeyun Ye might still need him for treatment later, that man would have long since disappeared.
“Do you think I’ll agree to you just because you’re kneeling?”
Xiuqi Chi scoffed, walked over, and tried to pull Yeyun Ye up.
However, the woman seemed determined to go against him, remaining unmoving, her eyes looking at him with a mist.
Xiuqi Chi’s patience had reached its limit. He let go and said coldly, “Since you like kneeling, then kneel to your heart’s content.”
For the sake of Yuxun Xia, she was now discarding her dignity. Truly remarkable!
Thinking this, Xiuqi Chi found Yeyun Ye an eyesore and strode out of the office.
Yang Yuexiang witnessed the entire scene. After a moment’s thought, he said, “Mr. Chi, Madam’s health probably isn’t suited for kneeling like this for so long.”
Xiuqi Chi certainly knew this, but the thought of Yeyun Ye caring so much for Yuxun Xia felt like a ball of fire stuck in his chest, making his words even more sarcastic.
“She isn’t worried about her own health, why are you fussing about it?”
These words fell on Yeyun Ye’s ears, her smile somewhat bitter.
She had long since recognized the reality: no matter when, she could never elicit even a shred of movement or tenderness from Xiuqi Chi.
Despite his words, Yang Yuexiang still looked towards Yeyun Ye with a hint of concern. Xiuqi Chi caught this action and felt his inner dissatisfaction surge.
“What? Do you want to kneel with her?”
Yang Yuexiang felt a pang of unease at these words and quickly said, “Mr. Chi, we have a dinner engagement with Boss Wang later.”
Xiuqi Chi nodded, indifferently withdrawing his gaze from Yeyun Ye. He walked a couple of steps, then stopped and pointed at the woman still kneeling.
“Bring her along too.”
Hearing Xiuqi Chi’s words, Yang Yuexiang didn’t overthink the meaning and immediately returned to the office.
After hearing Yang Yuexiang’s explanation, Yeyun Ye managed to get up from the floor, “Why?”
Yang Yuexiang had no idea and could only say, “If you want Mr. Xia to be safe, it’s best not to defy Mr. Chi.”
Yeyun Ye understood this and nodded, following Yang Yuexiang.
Yeyun Ye opened the car door and, seeing Xiuqi Chi sitting there with a cold expression, found it difficult to step in, her expression stiff and unsure of what to do.
— If possible, she didn’t want any more contact with this man.
Xiuqi Chi clearly sensed Yeyun Ye’s resistance. With a cold laugh, he reached out and directly pulled the woman into the car.
“Ah—” Yeyun Ye cried out in surprise. By the time she reacted, she was already in Xiuqi Chi’s embrace.
Sensing Yeyun Ye’s struggle, Xiuqi Chi tightened his grip, “I suggest you don’t test my patience.”
As he spoke, Yang Yuexiang, driving in the front, raised the partition.
Seeing this, Xiuqi Chi pulled Yeyun Ye closer to him, his tone suggesting an unspeakable desire, “Otherwise, I might do things to you in the car.”
How could Yeyun Ye not understand such a hint?
She certainly didn’t doubt the sincerity of Xiuqi Chi’s words.
This man was a madman now. If she truly angered him, the child would suffer along with her.
After realizing this, Yeyun Ye softened her stance, “Let me go first, I won’t move around.”
The next second, Xiuqi Chi released Yeyun Ye.
Yeyun Ye didn’t move again for the rest of the journey. Xiuqi Chi closed his eyes to rest and didn’t trouble her further. It was a rare moment of harmony in the back seat.
When Yeyun Ye saw Boss Wang sitting in the private room, the feeling Fang Wu had given her earlier resurfaced.
Yu Wang was in his forties. His face was lined with wrinkles when he smiled. Even in a suit, he looked like a hoodlum.
From the moment Yeyun Ye entered, Yu Wang’s gaze was fixated on her. It was only because he couldn’t ascertain her relationship with Xiuqi Chi that his gaze wasn’t more lewd.
“I didn’t expect Mr. Chi to come personally today. If I had known, I would have booked a private room at Huayue.” Yu Wang repeatedly invited Xiuqi Chi to sit down.
Xiuqi Chi sensed Yu Wang’s lustful intentions towards Yeyun Ye and felt a surge of discomfort. In a flash, he remembered how Yeyun Ye had knelt for Yuxun Xia in his office, and his brows turned cold. He pulled Yeyun Ye and motioned for her to sit next to Yu Wang.
Yeyun Ye looked at Xiuqi Chi in utter disbelief, unable to believe he would push her towards Yu Wang like this.
“What are you waiting for? Pour some wine for Boss Wang. If you perform well today, I might consider what you asked for.”
Yu Wang understood immediately upon hearing this, his smile growing more sinister and smug. He became even more unrestrained, slowly stroking the woman’s slender, white arm with one hand.
Yeyun Ye flinched instantly, slapping Yu Wang’s hand away, “What are you doing?!”
