Chapter 6 You Are Not Worthy Either
“What did you say!” Upon hearing this, Xiuqi Chi suddenly gripped Yeyun Ye’s wrist tightly.
It was only then that he noticed the woman who used to look at him with eyes full of love now wore only despair and indifference.
Xiuqi Chi forcibly suppressed his inexplicable unease, let out a cold laugh, and then roughly pushed Yeyun Ye away, wiping his fingers with a tissue as if she were something dirty.
“You think you can get a divorce just by saying it?” the man’s tone was filled with disdain and mockery. “When I wanted a divorce before, you refused. What, have you found someone else now?”
Yeyun Ye had just been thrown onto the bed by Xiuqi Chi. Seeing that he thought so little of her, tears welled up in her eyes as she forced herself to hold back her sadness.
“Xiuqi Chi! Don’t assume everyone is like you! Just because you’re irresponsible in this marriage doesn’t mean I am too!”
The devotion she had held for so many years was treated like trash by him, discarded without a second thought.
Yeyun Ye only blamed herself for being so foolish, for not recognizing reality sooner, which led her to this point, bruised and broken.
After she finished speaking, she tried to get up from the bed. However, the man in front of her, perhaps driven by madness, pressed her down.
“What are you doing… Mmph!”
The man’s kiss was urgent and fierce, falling upon her lips and swallowing all her subsequent words. In the brief moment Yeyun Ye struggled to speak, he had already pushed his way in.
Having been married to Xiuqi Chi for three years, Yeyun Ye clearly understood what this man intended. She tried to push him away with all her might, but it was in vain.
Under Yeyun Ye’s desperate resistance, Xiuqi Chi finally stopped. His eyes, devoid of any emotion, stared at her. He pinned one of Yeyun Ye’s hands while tightening his grip on her chin with the other. “Isn’t this what you wanted?”
“Get lost! Get off me! Get away from me!”
Yeyun Ye did not expect Xiuqi Chi to become so frenzied. As the man was about to escalate further, she bit down on his tiger’s mouth.
“You crazy woman!” Xiuqi Chi, caught off guard by Yeyun Ye’s boldness, painfully pulled his hand from her mouth. Seeing the crimson mark, his expression turned completely cold. “You want to divorce me so you can go be with another man? Yeyun Ye, you’re dreaming!”
With that, Xiuqi Chi strode out of the room.
“Bang!”
The sound of the door slamming echoed through the entire bedroom, indicating the extent of his rage.
Yeyun Ye lay alone on the bed, thinking about the events that had just transpired. She covered her face and gradually began to cry.
She couldn’t understand why things had ended up this way. Was she really deserving of such mistreatment simply because she loved someone?
A sharp pain in her belly instantly brought Yeyun Ye back to her senses. She slowly tried to stop her crying, but it was no use.
Yeyun Ye frowned in pain, clutching her belly helplessly. With her last ounce of consciousness, she dialed Xia Yuxun’s number and gave him her location.
After leaving the villa, Xiuqi Chi sped down the road. The traffic police, recognizing his license plate, chose to look the other way.
Xiuqi Chi was about to return to the villa when Jingxian Xiang called.
“Hello? Jingxian, what’s wrong?” Even though he was agitated by Yeyun Ye, Xiuqi Chi tried his best to control his emotions when speaking to Jingxian Xiang.
Hearing the man’s gentle voice, Jingxian Xiang smiled.
What did it matter if she had been away for three years? What did it matter if Yeyun Ye was married to Xiuqi Chi? This man still held her in his heart.
“Xiuqi, I just spoke with Dad. He wants you to have dinner with us tonight.”
Jingxian Xiang’s voice was completely different from Yeyun Ye’s.
She was always sweet and soft, yet carried a vibrant energy that uplifted others.
As for Yeyun Ye… it was best not to think about that woman.
“What time? I can buy some gifts to visit Uncle and Auntie on the way,” Xiuqi Chi said, already sending a message to his assistant to cancel all his evening engagements.
After confirming the time, Xiuqi Chi was about to hang up when Jingxian Xiang asked, “Xiuqi, does Yeyun know about our wedding? Will she blame us? It was my fault for being too impulsive before, which led to this situation. I…”
“It’s alright,” Xiuqi Chi couldn’t bear to hear Jingxian Xiang’s self-recrimination and patiently reassured her. “Leave this to me. I won’t let her hurt you again.”

“I’ve been looking at wedding dresses these past few days. Xiuqi, when do you have time? I’d like you to be there when I try them on.”

Xiuqi Chi squatted down and picked up the card. Seeing the name “Xia Yuxun,” his smile turned icy, and he headed to the hospital without hesitation.
He knew this woman couldn’t stay put!
As soon as he left, she couldn’t wait to get together with that doctor. It seemed he had underestimated her all along.
At the hospital, Xia Yuxun conducted a thorough examination of Yeyun Ye. Looking at the pale woman on the hospital bed, Xia Yuxun felt immense concern.

Yeyun Ye’s smile turned bitter upon hearing Xia Yuxun’s words. She lowered her head and caressed her belly. “I used to want a child so badly, but now the child’s father doesn’t love him, and my body is like this…”
