Chapter 591

Chapter 593. Kindergarten

When the daughter woke up, Ning Chu and Wen Yang were soundly asleep on either side of her.

It was just dawn, and she turned to face her mother, gazing at Ning Chu’s slightly pointed ears and her cheeks that still had a hint of pink.

Ning Chu slept restlessly, her brow furrowed, her legs tightly pinching the blanket, and her tail flicking slightly in agitation.

The nightgown had lifted, revealing deep red silver patterns. The daughter remembered clearly that when she bathed with her mother last night, those beautiful patterns were obviously light pink.

Curiously, she reached out and poked Ning Chu’s belly.

“Hmm~”

Almost in the next moment, Ning Chu groggily opened her eyes, and upon seeing her daughter, her rosy cheeks quickly turned bright red.

Her body tensed up, and she bolted upright, awkwardly squeezing her thighs together, avoiding the innocent gaze of her daughter’s pure eyes.

“Mom~ why were you crying last night? Did Dad bully you?”

“…

…”

Ning Chu didn’t respond, but in annoyance, she smacked Wen Yang awake.

“Ask your dad! I’m going to take a bath!”

If it weren’t for Wen Yang wanting to spice things up, she wouldn’t have woken their daughter!

Thankfully, the daughter merely knocked on the door after hearing the commotion instead of barging in. Otherwise, she wouldn’t know how to cover for herself!

It was also fortunate that their daughter was just over three years old; she could easily be soothed back to sleep, and by the time she grew up, this memory would likely be forgotten.

Leaving Wen Yang to explain to their daughter, Ning Chu slipped into the bathroom and pulled out her phone to search on Zhihu for how to handle similar situations.

Hmm… Eighty percent of parents have been caught by their kids?

Is that true? How come I never got caught?

She suddenly realized that since childhood, her father was never much of a factor in her life.

Continuing to scroll through the answers on Zhihu, the instances shared by others helped dissipate some of her intense embarrassment.

Her daughter was only three years old! There were even stories of parents being surprised by relatives during their intimate moments; the terrifying image sent shivers down her spine at just the thought.

Some people had it much worse than her, which alleviated her heart~

Only then did Ning Chu feel satisfied as she took off her nightgown and walked into the shower area.

Last night, Wen Yang had been scared silly, leaving her unsatisfied, and she dreamt of lovely, blush-inducing scenes, which prepared her body for a morning rendezvous. Without their daughter, she likely would have been having breakfast with Wen Yang by now.

After showering and calming down, Ning Chu returned to the bedroom.

Wen Yang was already up, packing their daughter’s little school bag and the luggage for their trip to the hot springs.

Ning Chu glanced at her daughter sitting at the head of the bed, and she tiptoed over to Wen Yang, sneakingly asking, “How did you explain it to her?”

“I told her I was helping you practice yoga.”

She nervously asked, “Would she believe that?”

“She’s so little, what can she understand?” Wen Yang smiled back, “I can’t just say I’m really bullying you, right?”

“Which you are!” Ning Chu complained, giving Wen Yang’s calf a little kick before calling to her daughter, “Shu Jun, time to change clothes.”

“Okay!”

“Honey, you go outside for a bit.”

The daughter climbed down from the bed, cluelessly looking at Wen Yang’s retreating figure, “Why does Daddy have to go out?”

“Because Daddy is a man, and you’re a girl.”

Ning Chu casually replied as she opened the wardrobe, stared at the full array of clothes, and after a moment of contemplation, pulled out an adorable princess dress.

“How about this?”

“Mm!”

Her daughter didn’t have any preferences in clothing style, but Ning Chu could clearly sense that she preferred wearing dresses.

After all, when wearing pants, her tail gets stuck in the fabric and it’s quite uncomfortable.

While dressing her daughter, she reminded, “You must keep your tail hidden at school; naughty kids will pull your tail and it hurts~ And don’t tug on others’ tails; it’s impolite.”

“No fighting or arguing in kindergarten; if anything upsets you, remember to tell Mom and Dad.”

“Grandma will pick you up after school tonight; be good at Grandma’s house too, okay? Don’t play on your phone all the time.”

Hei Dou is now in college; otherwise, it would have been nice for her daughter to play with her. At least she wouldn’t have to worry about her daughter getting bored.

Before she knew it, Ning Chu had become quite the chatterbox, and after dressing her daughter, she had rambled on for quite a while, to the point where her daughter couldn’t help but show signs of annoyance.

“Okay, okay, I know…”

She paused, ruffled her daughter’s hair, and restrained her incessant talking.

“All right, go find Daddy to play. I’m going to make you both breakfast.”

Waking up early gave them plenty of time, so Ning Chu could prepare breakfast and even apply beautiful makeup.

Once everything was ready, the trio finished breakfast and headed out, holding hands with their daughter.

It was her first day of school, leaving her family behind, and her daughter was visibly anxious, sitting in the car with her legs tightly pressed together, turning into that shy, socially anxious wallflower.

“The school teacher is a kitty~” Ning Chu tried to soothe her daughter’s nerves, “She’s very pretty and much gentler than Mommy.”

“Prettier than Mommy?”

Wen Yang, who was driving, casually replied, “That’s impossible; I’ve hardly seen anyone prettier than your mom in my life.”

“I think Sister Lily is prettier than Mommy!”

Ning Chu’s eyelid twitched, and she corrected, “You should call her Aunt Lily, not Sister!”

“But Auntie asked me to call her sister…”

“Why is she acting so young?”

Wen Yang suppressed a laugh and explained to their daughter—or was it to comfort his wife—“She dresses up and puts on makeup every day; your mom looks just as good when she wears makeup, doesn’t she?”

Plus, she’s even better-shaped than Lily~ Ever since she got pregnant, she’s gone up a cup size, and it’s not sagging at all~

“Exactly! She doesn’t even work and hasn’t had kids! Her cosmetics must cost hundreds or thousands!”

So envious of the rich lady~ Ning Chu had gotten quite a few of her skincare products as samples from Lily.

After about a ten-minute drive, the family parked in front of the kindergarten.

The not-so-wide street was now packed with vehicles, and a glance revealed many luxury cars.

Getting out of the car, their daughter looked even more anxious, clutching tightly to Ning Chu and Wen Yang’s sleeves, hiding behind them and nervously surveying her peers entering.

“Mom, I don’t want to go to school anymore…”

She was on the verge of tears.

“We’re already here, at least meet the teacher, right?”

As soon as they stepped through the school gates, Ning Chu spotted the daughter’s cat-eared teacher.

The teacher was probably only five feet tall, with a sweet, adorable appearance and a tremendous charm. Her hair and cat tail were both orange, and her unusually large chest was eye-catching, surely a plump orange.

The cat-eared teacher was also quite good at her job; after just a few minutes with their daughter, she managed to get the shy girl to giggle non-stop, looking so happy that it seemed she didn’t want to go home anymore.

Only then did Ning Chu breathe a sigh of relief: “Teacher Chen, I’m leaving Shu Jun in your care. Grandma will pick her up after school; you’ve met already.”

“Mm, don’t worry, Shu Jun’s mom.”

“Thank you so much~”

Watching her daughter being led away by the teacher, Ning Chu grinned as she placed her heel on her husband’s shoe.

Wen Yang subtly averted his gaze, “Should we head straight to the hot spring hotel? Or do you want to stop by Lily’s house first?”

“Chirp~”

Although Ning Chu couldn’t help but sneak peeks at the cat-eared teacher’s chest, it was fine for her to look; Wen Yang shouldn’t be looking.

She pulled Wen Yang’s arm and dragged him out of the kindergarten.

“No rush~ Let’s go home first and finish what we started last night.”
