“I hate to say this, but why are we fighting people instead of monsters? Is the German government just letting this slide?”
“The Six Legged Beast is too valuable to let go! The engineer’s worth is tremendous! They can just claim ignorance, like with that Collector incident! Remember when their subordinate went rogue, and it turned out they were a Chinese government spy?”
Manager Wanda Haye’s explanation was a mess, as she couldn’t talk about the president, but she shouted at the crew to focus on their controls.
Sure─ The East Asian Alliance, including the South Korean government, officially protested to the German government.
Would the government stay silent when powerful mechs, created by engineers, appeared in the middle of Seoul attacking their Climbers?
The newly appointed South Korean president also voiced strong protest and unrest while demanding compensation, but the responses were slow and vague.
Honestly, it was a complete mess. There might have been treaties on international conflict and crime, but Climbers were too special.
An individual could potentially dominate a nation if they so desired.
However, whether they could actually lead society was questionable.
Climbers were necessary for the resources provided by the Tower, and among them, the most exceptional and valuable were the Legendary Class.
Furthermore, the technology and weapons produced by the engineer, received through the Tower, were advanced enough to rearm Germany significantly.
One never knows when another country might suddenly change its mind and attempt war, much like Russia.
Germany had many enemies on all sides.
Despite their apologies and different actions compared to Japan, there are plenty of lunatics in the world.
Collector has toppled the Chinese government and established a new one, further raising political tensions.
So even a Six Legged Beast with loyalty to their nation can’t be easily cast aside.
Germany was exporting weapons created by the engineer to other countries while cooperating in monster suppression following Tower collapses.
The mechs sent to Seoul were sold by the engineer, who severed any ties, claiming no involvement.
Although it was clear from recordings that Wakamou captured rather than killed Climbers, they maintained silence.
Part of me just wanted to kill them off.
Wakamou Inarizushi had become a force so threatening to the Six Legged Beast’s empire that many trials would follow.
Many would likely try to impede their every move.
Manager Wanda Haye considered aid requests from the Philippines and thought the more allies, the better.
Liu Wei, aware of this, had ensured the independence of allies, even forming a tremendous alliance.
The wave created by a single Climber named Wakamou Inarizushi couldn’t be stopped by anything short of her demise.
“Actually, this might be a good thing.”
There was ridicule and disdain toward South Korea.
Some South Korean Climbers who had gone abroad mocked South Korea.
After enduring such humiliation, they were finally on the rise.
“Who would just sit back and take such provocation?”
A piercing noise—a shuddering rumble—resounded.
Maybe on the U.S. government’s orders, but there was someone on this side providing cooperative intelligence from a special unit, as well as information that Asuka brought on Climbers.
Legendary Class. Just looking at Wakamou, their special nature and strength need no explanation.
But to ask if they’re invincible, that’s certainly not the case.
Since each job has distinct characteristics, there are also accompanying disadvantages.
Many even hunted down Legendary Classes to achieve their status, making them modern targets for various threats.
So, one couldn’t simply say it was the best class.
“Everyone read the material, right?”
“I used it as a coaster!”
“Ao! Pirate!!!”
The manager barely restrained from cursing as they yelled out.
Still, as a manager, they didn’t cross the line.
Impressed with their superhuman patience, they took a deep breath.
A rundown train dangerously ran along the tracks.
Relentless rain heightened the Han River’s level, flooding to the extent of Seodaemun District.
Lightning endlessly sliced through the dark.
With each flash, fear and dread set in, heavy as steel as the darkness seemed to come alive.
It wasn’t just the rain-soaked weight—situations and conditions were far from favorable.
Yet in such circumstances, we were pitted against a Legendary Class.
An ‘Outlaw.’
Simple as being ‘outside the law.’
One’s convinced the Tower gave a class to a lawbreaker, yet Jackson called him a pleasure-killing maniac.
The story was simple—he became an Outlaw because he enjoyed beating people to death.
Even bragged about having a prerequisite test of having to “beat 100 people to death with his bare fists.”
Though there’s a lot of space in the U.S., such talent was the only explanation for not getting caught doing so.
Similar to Fighters, he had agility and strength, and even resilience.
He could catch a train, tear steel like pudding, and withstand even severe hits.
Aside from the raw human strength, he had eye-blinding skills as well as Architect-like weapon-summoning skills.
Especially tough in throwing—throwing needles and knives was routine, firing guns randomly or slashing mercilessly with blades were no blunder.
The most troubling part was the [Taunt], which drove the opponent to lose their reason.
Even in Climbers’ battles, cold logic was needed. Succumbing to rage inevitably exposed vulnerabilities.
Then what happens?
One dies—very simply.
He was a guy who’d coat weapons with all kinds of poison.
He was a killer who wouldn’t hesitate to kill.
He was skilled at escaping when disadvantaged, so what else needed saying?
Jackson laughed at him for being a coward.
This was a man who’d ambush to suppress strong Climbers, pulling out a gun claiming it was a fight.
Such a man was coming to kill Jackson. Even with the earth burying him, he’d escape due to his superhuman nature.
It was purely an issue of advantages and disadvantages.
…..
…
While Pirate reminisced on explaining the Outlaw chasing the train, Wanda swallowed nervously.
Splish splash─
The sound of water reached them.
The Outlaw had caught up to the fleeing train.
However it happened didn’t matter. The whole party gazed at the Westerner standing before them.
Not as large as Wakamou, but still a massive man, muscular and blonde, slyly scanned the crew.
“Finished our game of tag, young ladies? I bear no grudge, but I do love a fight. Especially smashing the skulls of those martial artist types is my favorite pastime.”
Wanda quickly drew her sword from her waist and swung it at the smirking warrior.
Brilliant light cut through the air as the edge seemed to slice through blinding light, halted casually by the Outlaw grabbing it barehanded; he laughed broadly, showing his gums, and lashed out a kick.
Casting aside the sword and leaping backward, Wanda pulled out a gun and fired while two Climber squad members charged in, wielding matching swords and employing the same swordsmanship she’d shown.
Bullets ricocheted off the black garment donned by the Outlaw as the slashing of blades was easily repelled by his forearm guards.
“I’ll slaughter every one of you Asian monkeys!!”
Ichigo’s muzzle flared. Bullets rained down while the Outlaw withstood them, mercilessly slugging the two companions flanking either side of him into a building wall.
As the Outlaw moved beyond the light, the shadows engulfed him, and watching a companion be swallowed prompted Pirate to cast a spell and throw light for illumination.
Whoosh─!
Wanda instigated a confrontation by sheathing the sword as a baton and slamming it, resulting in a whirling cloud of smoke.
Whether it was a pouch of quick-acting drugs, visibility rippled and twisted, but she clenched her teeth and bit into an antidote she had tucked into her mouth, snapping back to reality as she lunged in with a scabbard towards his blind spot.
A bang and a fiery explosion followed as the scabbard launched.
Unperturbed, the Outlaw took it head-on, ramming it with his head to shatter the scabbard, a punch streaking towards them.
Rather than defend against the punch, Wanda dove in quicker, slashing her blade through the gaps in his protective attire.
With each spray of blood, and while laughing despite his cuts, the Outlaw shouted.
“They say all the Climbers left in Korea are idiots! Is this all you’ve got?!”
Falling for his taunt was deadly, but the veins pulsing on Wanda’s forehead showed her anger.
“Even a back-alley thug swings a sword better than you!! Why not throw down your sword and change to being a zoo monkey!!”
The sword moved.
As it illuminated, leaving afterimages slipping through raindrops—from darkness, with light as her backdrop, Wanda’s blade made chilling tunes as it ruthlessly tore into and dealt blow after blow onto the Outlaw.
Blocked by his armor, sparks flew as chips marred the blade, yet undeterred, lips curled with irritation driving her fury, Wanda hacked and slashed.
Aiming for his face, neck, lacerated half an ear, grazed the nose, and shredded his cheek, Wanda hurled lethal attacks at the Outlaw.
Alongside her, two squad members closed in and threw themselves into a swordsmanship formation.
In range for three simultaneous assaults, with True Strike, the Outlaw let out a yell and took his stance.
“Karate?”
Even Pirate showed displeasure at the blatant karate stance.
The sword slipped through hands as if forcibly disarming the trio.
This skill was the demise of many seeking to apprehend Climbers.
Moreover, cuts and scratches had already ceased bleeding and begun to heal, if not regenerate.
Ranged by three simultaneities struck with swords and bullets, yet unbending stood a figure reminiscent of Wakamou.
Two members pounding out their fists emitted deafening sounds with uproarious explosions cracking their gear.
However, with a single swipe, the Outlaw countered with an even larger blast, sending bloodied climbers flying.
A fist careened toward her when the Outlaw lunged at Wanda.
Then it flipped to a knife in his hand, mercilessly piercing her torso, followed by a handgun unloading into the staggering Wanda.
The bullets ricocheted off a translucent Barrier; then the Outlaw unleashed a flurry of punches akin to handgun fire.
“Krrrgh…!”
Eventually, as Wanda staggered back, she checked the Barrier’s status.
She had survived, but their opponent wasn’t easily underestimated. Despite the formidable assault meant to shake one’s resolve, it lacked lasting damage.
They had devastated entire police forces. Bringing support squads would be futile as sandbags.
No favored matchups here.
Wanda knew she wielded weapons against a foe with innate blade resistance.
Moreover, wasn’t he known for his poison resistance?
This raw brute type was always the most jittering headache.
As she glared defiantly, kneeling, the Outlaw ignored her and turned away.
Despite the opponent in front, he dismissed as if she were insignificant.
“Uh?”
The Outlaw scoured for the “two kids” he expected nearby, only realizing the agents he’d knocked down had vanished.
Eaten by the darkness? Though Climbers warred, this was a monster domain. Never turn a blind eye here.
“Overlooked, didn’t you? Just now…”
Especially—with an adversary [Assimilating] with the darkness.
Swoosh─!!
Raindrops turned to snow as puddles beneath them instantly froze solid.
From the shadows crept Pirate, grinning as she dusted her hands behind the frozen sculpture that was the Outlaw.
“Ambushing martial artists, knifing and shooting? You’re nothing more than a street thug!!”
“──But still more rugged than those gay guys rolling around in their dojos, isn’t it?”
Despite being frozen, the Outlaw casually brushed off the ice and rotated his body, aiming a punch at Pirate.
Pirate tried redirecting the punch by grabbing it, but when she tapped his wrist, blades sprang from his palms.
A slicing noise echoed as Pirate’s hand was severed; his punch hammered into her face.
Her hand plunged into water with a splash, blood spurting from the smoothly severed wrist.
“Pirate!!”
Clutching her face in her remaining hand, the staggering Pirate drew a shout from Ichigo.
Bullets failed, so they converged with blades at the waist, charging, as ivory sunglasses were donned by the Outlaw.
Thrown flashbangs arced over them.
Right at that fatal moment—the blaring tinnitus─ blinding flashes burst loud enough to make them cower, drawing a cry from Ichigo.
Having pulled out his gun, the Outlaw shot Pirate in the knee, forcing her down, and mocked her.
“Martial artists, ha. They’re no different from unadvanced chimpanzees, right? Training forever, yet a single bullet would end them anyway.”
Then aimed at Ichigo.
Asomupull—fire—and the bullet flew.
※※※
Thud, thud─
“Damn it, I’m worried sick about those Young Ladies! That bastard’s a real maniac!”
“Shut up!”
Riding Asuka’s back as she sped through Seodaemun District, she led all monsters away, ensuring they wouldn’t reach Wanda, Ichigo, and Pirate.
Though it was a plan, Jackson hollered nervously, dangling from Asuka’s back.
They were deploying all support units, lighting everything, rushing at full speed.
Their aiming wasn’t to repel the Six Legged Beast nor any German Climbers.
They sought to repel the invading monsters that came with the Tower’s collapse.
Asuka swept across Seodaemun District rapidly while Jackson, guarded by the support units, constructed and built structures illuminating the darkness.
To intercept the crowds of monsters flocking from Eunpyeong, Jung, and Yongsan districts, walls rose with lights to maintain barriers.
At first, they thought setting traps to ensnare monsters in shadows they stumbled across would be advantageous.
Until the shadow would devour more monsters and enlarge its area!
The shadow’s expansion was so subtle no one noticed it until nearly too late, but the number of monsters posed a significant problem.
“All done!!”
Jackson shouted the completion of building a lighthouse-worthy beacon.
Shortly, with clanking sounds, brilliant light surged out, causing shadows to retreat.
It was far larger than imagined.
With the help of Rainmaker, the rain was pouring, deepening shadows, a much more troubling position.
Jackson couldn’t help but worry; would Young Ladies fall to the Outlaw?
Could Wakamou handle the Rainmaker alone? His anxiety showed, yet he kept on working precisely.
Every drop point was mapped out, and a precise route Asuka would follow meticulously planned as well.
They found the safest spot where monsters would refrain from interference.
The battle would be a pure exchange of individuals’ capabilities.
Though there was concern over Wakamou, wasn’t Wanda Manager on his side? Didn’t Pirate say there were no worries?
Furthermore, there was the latest gear for safeguarding Climbers, and the opponent’s information had been shared with Jackson, Asuka, and the U.S. government assistance.
Fighting like cowards by blinding and poisoning their enemy, he said.
“That white guy must’ve been an ex-gangster, right? There’s a saying about only the white stuff or moving far away!!”
Rumble─
Ominous clouds cast gloom as the rain intensified.
Rainmaker’s power could summon storms and bring freezing cold.
Thus, it was no laughing matter as the Architect erected sturdy miniature lighthouses to withstand the lightning and remain unaffected by monsters’ destruction.
“Either way, you couldn’t win if you fought, right?”
“Well, damn, you’re not wrong.”
Even if an Architect could build or obstruct, the Outlaw’s [Disarm] skill was nearly fatal on first sight.
Yet should an unseen Architect saw a nail into his head, though a mortal wound, he wouldn’t die.
Having nailed that Outlaw’s head was something Jackson understood firsthand, after getting battered in a hierarchy fight with the Outlaw!
I realized it while getting beat up!
So, what about the Rainmaker?
…
“You’re here, Fox Deity. Spirit of this land. Did you defeat my companion, Aa-ahni?”
“Bragging about being an American native, I see.”
“There is a special pride, you know. Our tribe was the one acknowledged by the Tower for truly communicating with earth and spirits.”
“So, is it about striving for the revival of the tribe?”
“I killed for it, can you not understand? The spirit sure sounds like a human.”
The man with copper skin dressed like an Indian chief and with makeup reminiscent of a fierce beast looked at Wakamou.
He mentioned that among countless nature spirits, he had never seen one like Wakamou with such a distinct form.
Despite being an enemy, as someone who worships those spirits, Rainmaker smiled politely but mirthlessly.
Even without Rainmaker voicing his dark intentions, Wakamou could guess. A man consumed by greed for power.
“Aa-ahni… speaking of the white human, Mare Pirate will handle it. I came directly because there’s something I’m curious about you.”
“It’s an honor… what is it?”
“They say you’ve been in Six Legged Beast for the longest among American Climbers. Is killing Jackson an order from above?”
“No. He had a bad reputation for looking out for the US government. As you know, the Six Legged Beast is quite free.”
“──Then, do you know why your higher-ups are interested in me?”
“You can just ask directly!!”
Saying so, Wakamou dodged Rainmaker’s arrow attack, running forward.
The rain pouring down brimming with Mana began to pierce Wakamou’s body─ at the same time, lightning struck down from the sky, piercing Wakamou, but—
Unfortunately, none of those attacks drained all of Wakamou’s Mana at once.
Crackle─
Transforming into lightning, Wakamou rushed at an incredible speed, kicking towards Rainmaker’s stomach.
“ᏩᏯ ᎤᏳᏏᏗ!”
With a chant, a wolf spirit emerged from thin air, boldly biting down on Wakamou’s leg, stopping him with sheer force.
Rainmaker─ A Legendary Class within the [Shaman] category. Manipulating the weather at will and employing mysterious powers as a shaman, commanding various spirits. Not only that, living wild, he managed to keep the natural traditions alive while hunting wild animals, showing exceptional skills developed through those practices.
Now, with skills honed from hunting humans with the Outlaw, he charged at Climber Wakamou without fear.
Wielding a longsword imbued with [Mana Burn], Rainmaker maintained a threatening “Barrier” and a distance.
Wakamou’s attempt to charge was met with an implicit threat of being cut down by the sword imbued with [Mana Burn].
Even with allies safely evacuated, Wakamou couldn’t approach recklessly as a full-scale blast could destroy the capital of Seoul. Knowing well that even he would get caught and die, he was employing an openly dirty fighting technique.
“ᎠᏂᏣᏍᎩᎵ ᎠᏓᏅᏍᏗ!”
Then, a rising ghost spread everywhere; a building transformed into a ghost golem, swung its gigantic arm, swatting Wakamou away.
Outrunning the water ghosts emerging as spirits plunged into the water, shooting sharp jets of water, Wakamou sped across the water.
Sniping arrows fired by Rainmaker from a safe building soared like living beings, accurately piercing Wakamou’s ankle.
As soon as the arrow struck, undecipherable letters began to spread, glowing along the penetrated area.
“ᎠᎵᏖᎸᎲᏍᎬ ᎠᎹ!!”
As the staff slammed down, the ground began to shake. With intense heat felt beneath the feet, the fiery serpents chased Wakamou, soaring from the cracks, and─ with magma illuminating ominous darkness rising taller than buildings, engulfed and attempted to incinerate Wakamou.
Rainmaker’s extraordinary [Skill] could even induce artificial earthquakes.
Additionally, transforming falling lightning into a bird form, it pursued and severed Wakamou’s back through the fire, breaking his spine.
“ᎠᎺᎵᎨ ᏢᏓᏥ ᎤᏅᏣᏗ ᎦᏅᏙᎬ”
It doesn’t end. Unsure of how many [Skills] he possesses.
Rainmaker manifested the dignity of a Legendary Class, having survived for many years among America’s [Six Legged Beast].
When using another skill, darkness took the form of a jaguar, revealing cursed fangs and biting Wakamou’s neck.
With limbs held by flaming serpents and body pierced by water sprays from the Water Ghosts…
In that state, the cracked earth opened like jaws, swallowing Wakamou’s lower body and began chewing aggressively with a thud.
“The Fox Deity of Asia!! Originally, only the money-obsessed demon was marked for death, but you are a threat to our boss. You must die here.”
Creating earthquakes to collapse terrain, infusing buildings with ghosts to fight.
For Architect Jackson, it was a challenging opponent to beat no matter what strategies used.
Moreover, the spirits encasing him against Wakamou’s occasional long-range attacks showed the high chance that Jackson’s only attack skill, nail driving, wouldn’t work.
Yet if Rainmaker made one mistake, it was not understanding why Wakamou came alone.
Even for Adelheid, the reason they didn’t go despite Mei being subdued was because knowing her skill as an [Artist] was effective against [Human]. They should have considered the possibility of being swept by her skill if they went.
The only concern was Wanda Haye, yet entrusting it because she seemed confident.
“…..Is it over?”
Unlike the Tower, one could only confirm death or survival by checking. As spirits moved to examine Wakamou’s limp state, the illusion unraveled revealing a mannequin. Realizing it was a carefully crafted dummy by Adelheid, Rainmaker, startled, sought to be on guard.
Having pinpointed the location through the camera and escaping through a portal, Wakamou was already standing behind him.
“There’s no need for two Rainmakers in this world.”
“…Two? Another Rainmaker besides me…?”
“Continuing the lineage of Rain Shaman is recognized only within legal Kobokan!!!!”
Who is that…?
Despite his curiosity, Rainmaker received nothing but an incoming punch as a reply.
With spirits coiling and sucking out “Vitality,” weakening Wakamou didn’t diminish the force of his striking punches whatsoever.
Although Shamans had been likewise, regrettably, the affinity of [Shamans] was at its worst against Wakamou.
Wakamou’s weakness being Mana was known, but that his existence was purely Mana, dying without it was not known hence the blunder.
“Beat him, beat him, beat him!!”
The relentless pounding landed brutally on the face.
“Beat him, beat him, beat him, beat him, beat him, beat him, beat him, beat him, beat him!!”
A seamlessly connected series of blows to face, chest, abdomen, limbs, as Wakamou’s fist began destroying Rainmaker savagely with precision.
The spirits who received damages instead and protected gradually perished, as Wakamou’s relentless blow continued!!
“Chant a spell, radiant shining light to brighten the world!!”
Punch lyrics as intense as striking a melody, sinking 10 compressed hits to the entire body in a blink of an eye.
“Make it your sun to light up your day!”
Rainmaker’s body suspended in air, Wakamou, equally airborne, leaped and spun—
“Kobokan!!”
Shouting a VTuber’s pet name as a battle cry, the fierce kick broke the pouring rain, landing Rainmaker shattered into asphalt.
“You’re too uncute to hold the title Rainmaker.”
Every time you wielded that title, it insulted the existence of the beloved VTuber I adore.
Delivering merciless violence yet managing to promote the real Rainmaker while flicking the water off his soaked hair, Wakamou.
“Ugh…”
Though intentionally held back not to kill him, taking 200 punches and landing from a kick buried into the pavement, Rainmaker who survived was spewing blood and glaring daggers at Wakamou.
Crushing the Indian who dared insult the real, adorable Rainmaker, Wakamou questioned:
“Then, why does your boss want me dead?”
“……..Heh….it wouldn’t matter… let me tell you… our boss is looking for you…”
Because you’re a Legendary Class that shouldn’t exist.
“…Huh?”
“Our boss… has the ability to change one to a Legendary Class… do you understand why Six Legged Beast is loyal to him…?”
With those words about possessing the ability to change classes and as Rainmaker passed out.
A non-existent class? More than that, able to change classes…?
Strictly speaking, it’s more knowing the conditions for transitioning.
If it were the case, all Legendary Classes would have been part of Six Legged Beast.
“A non-existent Legendary Class….”
So, it was clumsy like that, huh…!!
Incheon Tower, you bastard!!
Was I really used as a prototype?!
※※※
Ichigo remained composed.
Unable to see, unable to hear.
There’s a Barrier, yet being incapacitated remains a fact.
Thankful, at least, that her hand was placed on the sword hilt?
With the pouring rain making it impossible to catch a scent, Ichigo’s Mana rippled.
The [Mana Manipulation], taught by Wakamou investing 40 points into Ichigo, allowed her to vividly feel the flow of Mana within, blinded and deaf.
Sharpening her senses, reinforcing her body, Ichigo instinctively unsheathed her sword, slicing and cutting something.
Taan─!
Despite losing sight and hearing, Ichigo’s motion in unsheathing the sword, deflecting and sending a bullet flying, startled the Outlaw.
Then, red plum blossoms bloomed along the blade, as Ichigo charged towards the Outlaw.
Blinded, seemingly unfocused eyes yet crimson glowing eyes in the dark gave a chilling predator’s vibe.
Feeling disgusted with himself for being scared, the Outlaw drew dual guns, firing incessantly.
But─ As someone who mainly invested in [Agility] while climbing tiers, Ichigo perceived the impending danger in his instincts, parrying all bullets with his sword.
Initially glancing shots while bullets hit shoulders and legs, but grew increasingly precise, eventually─
[[Acquired Skill: Keen Instinct]]
Even grasping a skill, Ichigo’s sword slashed the Outlaw’s palm.
Yet, grasping the sword, the Outlaw pulled Ichigo in, equipping a claw to tear through the belly.
Outpowered, Ichigo let go of the sword, but the Outlaw was faster.
“Growl─”
At that moment, the beastly cry from behind caused him to swing his claw, yet the thick hide caught the blade. Despite exerting force into the wrist-fixed claw, it barely pierced a layer of leather.
“Let me show you what ‘next Association President’ means, you Yankee bastard.”
A massive bear stood there. No, a woman turned into a bear. Wanda Haye, in her beast form, exhaled rough breaths, driving the clenched fist into the Outlaw’s face.
“It means being the second strongest in Korea!!”
Previously overwhelmed by a slender form, her bear transformation shattered bones with each of her formidable blows, leaving the Outlaw staggering.
The level of strength was unmatched. Tearing her tattered attire with a monstrous roar, Wanda Haye lunged at the Outlaw, delivering bone-crushing hits that echoed viciously.
But it was fleeting.
As knives thrown from his pocket lodged with a squelch into Wanda Haye’s stomach.
In a blink, 9 knives were embedded!
“Arrgh!!”
Laced with poison, the inflicted areas began blackening.
“Heh─ strong with martial arts as a beast, eh? Just bulked up, dumbass. What kind of era is this to use fists!!”
“Don’t spew nonsense”
Coming from behind, the voice, Mei suppressing the blurred sight with [Shape-shifting] chuckled, raising a fist.
“Karate, you know, is the versatile martial art.”
The Outlaw turned to face the thrown knives, all deflected with one hand as Mare Pirate couldn’t help but laugh.
“The dream of becoming stronger. But before that… I truly love this era. I can beat Monsters freely… but personally beating up people feels far better!!”
No complex strategies or tactical exchanges were necessary to fight.
Revering her father, nurturing her honed body with relentless training in martial arts, Karate aimed at wielding nothing with empty hands, destroy everything swiftly and simply!!
“In martial arts, there aren’t any fouls!!! Whether by targeting a vital point or using weapons!! I’ll use whatever I’ve got!!”
“Then die, Monkey!!”
The claw flew, deeply embedding into Mare Pirate’s body.
Yet, not a single drop of blood spilled.
Without [Mana], any attack thrusted couldn’t harm her.
When his palm was cut, Ichigo had smeared a [Mana Leakage Potion] on the blade.
Unfortunately, our Alchemist was specialized in poisons. If not full immunity, at least a partial one works─ well aware of his low Mana capacity.
“The man who chooses a life straddling death. No regrets, right?”
Her fist engulfed in flames turned into steel, smashing into the Outlaw’s groin forcefully.
Planting a strong hit ready to smash.
The Outlaw’s voice went high, as his form twisted, shrieking with a wild howl, trying desperately to counterattack with blind punches, but turning into mist, she slipped through, striking fiercely again.
Driving a thunderous punch upward from below.
“Finishing move”
Keyyynnnng──!!
From steel to lightning.
Gathering the flash into the clenched fist.
“Navy Karate, Iron Fist!!”
The concentrated electric strike exploded in the Outlaw’s face, spinning it rapidly.
“You bi###!!!”
“You withstood that?!”
Even Manager Wanda Haye was astonished by the incredible tenacity.
Landing quickly mid-air, as more needles flew from his sleeve aiming to kill Mare Pirate with boundless rage, the Outlaw charged.
The poison lost effect as Mana manifested on the needles, but Mare Pirate had no intention to stop.
Karate, able to adapt to various situations─ she had no need for anything complicated, only planting a deadly claw on the face.
The Outlaw sought to dodge while tossing needles intended to sever Mare Pirate’s neck in one motion.
Unfortunately, she was tougher than expected.
Even when the speeding needle pierced her eye, she didn’t blink.
“Didn’t dodge..?!”
“What Karate master of any world covering their eyes at a threat, dimwit──!!”
Arm to steel, enveloping in electricity─ enhancing the blow with flames, she struck with all her might.
The Karate Iron Fist hit the Outlaw’s chest.
The sound of shattering bones accompanied him spewing blood as his form tumbled backward.
Manager Wanda Haye, fingers interlocked, struck down with both hands.
Standing with a military warhammer in both hands, Ichigo took a deep breath, delivering a strong blow to the face.
Smashed nose, shattered teeth, and a devastating state left the trembling Outlaw going limp.
As a portal opened, agents rushed to restrain the Outlaw.
Meanwhile, watching her nonchalantly remove the needle from her eye, the medical team screamed.
“Mare Pirate, your severed hand…”
“Huh? I reattached it.”
Laughing, shrugging off how she could reshape through [Shape-shifting], declaring there wasn’t any problem regardless of where she got injured. She smiled softly towards them, showcasing a perfectly healed eye saying not to worry.
“Ah! Could’ve used this as an excuse to wear an eyepatch!”
“Are you serious….”
“Alright, let’s take a drink to celebrate.”
“I don’t drink while on duty, being a professional.”
“Seems you’ve been hit too hard…”
“The rain makes everything taste watery!!”
Grumbling, Mare Pirate gladly accepted the drink Ichigo offered as the rain ceased.
Simultaneously, hundreds of lighthouses within Seodaemun-gu illuminated the entire area.
As the darkness receded and gathered at one point, the boss monster revealed itself.
Having devoured all monsters in its territory, the ruler of Seodaemun-gu glared menacingly, inviting them to approach.
