Today was just another ordinary day, as usual.
Wakamou is contemplating a broadcast while Mare Pirate is on the verge of broadcasting, or should I say always broadcasting?
She tends to broadcast spontaneously, engaging in whatever looks fun at the moment.
Because of this, the broadcast times are entirely up to Mare Pirate’s whims, causing her crew to scream in agony and writhe in pain.
What could be more brutal than a VTuber who starts broadcasting at dawn after having a drink in the evening and going to sleep?
Someone might mistake her for an American broadcasting from overseas due to her freewheeling broadcast schedule.
After Asuka, she broadcasts the most, but 80% of her shows are impromptu…!!
“Bread World Cup sounds great! I like Soboro bread. Korea’s national bread? Isn’t chrysanthemum a symbol of the Emperor? I’d be labeled as unpatriotic if I eat it.”
– Unpatriotic, LOL
– Oh man, why is this so spicy, LOL
– Seriously, her wit gets crazier by the day.
– Does she turn into a lunatic if she doesn’t drink?
– Someone should give the captain some alcohol…..
– Nervous because a first-generation German is coming.
– No way! Are you scared of Germany, captain?
“Japanese people seem nervous because they’ve experienced forced submission to the West with the Black Ships.”
– LOL
– What’s the Black Ships thing again? It’s a historical event where the U.S. forced Japan to open up with an unequal treaty.
– It’s Germany, not the U.S., LOL
– Still, they’re foreigners.
– Does that mean we should strike first 90 years later?
– What’s happening?
– It’s World War III.
“You guys know your history, huh? Anyway, bread tastes better with lots of sugar. Isn’t that right? The Japanese love sugar so much that they invaded Okinawa.”
– Enough, LOL
– Seriously, enough!!!
– Oh man, the community will be on fire today.
– Only true Japanese can make that kind of joke….
– Are you going to chop the logs with karate too?
– The Imperial Citizen narrative just flows naturally.
– You’re crazy, man, how far will you go, LOL
– Every day is a crazy day.
“Ma.re. Pe.ra.te.”
“Aaaah!!! Please save me!!!”
“I told you not to say careless things during broadcasts, didn’t I?”
“I’m sorry…”
– The boss intervenes immediately.
– Bosses in Incheon are all formidable.
– St.r.o.ng. N.o.t.i.ce.
– Why are Japanese VTubers coming to Korea all the same, without any normal ones?
– Are you saying our unicorns have big heads?
– Well, that head is indeed unusual…
– Come at me, you jerk.
– LOL
– LOL
– That’s what makes it cute!!!!
“Anyway….. even if the crew finds it entertaining. Always speak cautiously, okay?”
“Yeeees….”
With that, Wakamou ruffled Mare Pirate’s hair roughly.
“By the way, when’s the preparation for ‘Seoul Redemption Part 3’?”
“Didn’t you turn off the mic?”
“Oh.”
– Oh
– Oh
– If it leaks, wouldn’t that be bad?
– The captain caused an accident!!!!
– I heard Germany sent something over.
– Isn’t this a big accident?
“If we didn’t say when we’re doing it, we’re safe!!”
“That’s out!!”
“Aaaagh!!!”
Mare Pirate’s broadcast ended with Mare Pirate being knocked over by a flick to the forehead from Wakamou.
The crew laughed watching it, but they were seriously worried about not mentioning this anywhere.
However, troublemakers exist everywhere.
People started clipping Mare Pirate’s broadcast and spreading rumors about the upcoming release of ‘Seoul Redemption Part 3′ everywhere.
──And, this was actually a pre-planned broadcast accident orchestrated by Wakamou and Mare Pirate.
It would have leaked from somewhere anyway.
Even if the Climber’s Association tried to conceal it, it would have been impossible with military and climbers on the move.
So, they planned from the start to openly spread that the filming would commence soon.
During that time, Asuka was tasked with investigating any climbers approaching Seoul and especially keeping an eye on Germany’s movements.
In electronic warfare, she expressed confidence, and although Wakamou hadn’t tested Asuka’s abilities, they decided to entrust her with the electronic warfare given her confidence.
As Manager Wanda Haye mentioned, unless they were primitives living without any modern conveniences, it would be impossible to escape Asuka’s detection.
“But, boss, is it really necessary to do it this way?”
“Well, we need to promote it anyway.”
“Persistent as ever…..”
Since broadcasting the trailer after filming and restoring the tower would resonate throughout Korea, it couldn’t be kept a secret.
Then they would post things in the community like [Holding my breath until it releases! Wheeze!!] or [Finally, part 3 is coming out tomorrow!] with everyone going wild. The fan cafe turning into a battlefield seemed almost within sight already.
When you personally become a VTuber, you have to take care of so many things by yourself.
That’s why everyone joins corporate….oh, wait, I’m the corporate head, dammit.
I wish I could hire a ton of managers and pass everything off to them, but Wakamou knows there are cases where production labels mishandle the talents of VTubers.
On top of that, even in the other world, weren’t there idol agencies where a joint composer independently sold songs to China?
Even without going as far as VTubers, managers hired to manage idols have often engaged in shady acts.
If Wakamou had to verify and check all of this from the CEO’s position, the broadcast schedule might be stuck at dawn permanently.
“Still, we should gradually increase manpower.”
Hiring people to manage the VTubers’ schedules and conditions in large numbers and expanding the subsidiary companies dedicated to supporting VTuber broadcasts became essential as a major corporation.
It would allow a small number of VTubers to showcase their talents to the fullest, and if content had a professional producer, they could make much cleaner and more properly structured programs.
But that also meant becoming busier, which was a problem.
Pursuing freedom in VTuber broadcasts while doing things leisurely….should this be considered Wakamou Corporation’s motto? Sounds good, doesn’t it?
“First, we need to increase managers by at least five. Should we hire from the Climber’s Association…?”
It was all thanks to Manager Wanda Haye being so competent that everything went smoothly up till now.
Now, even with a superhuman body as a climber, Wanda Haye had started taking leaves and even beginning to rest.
“If we ask Liu Wei, he would willingly send them. We need someone reliable.”
…..
….
“So you’re telling me to work as a manager too, Wakamou?”
“I’ll pay a lot.”
“Never done it, but might learn? I used to be a boss of a big office too, you know? Might do better than you, Wakamou. Haha!! Should I look after Adelheid? Wouldn’t it be better to ask that chairman from China on such matters?”
“He personally wanted to come….”
“Oh….so passionate…”
They also consulted the Association President to increase additional managers, and Adelheid von Bismarck was taken care of mainly by Mei Xiao Long Bao, but since she couldn’t look after constantly, they asked Dorrison J Jackson for help.
Although it was a busy period due to the construction on the first floor of Wakamou, it seemed like it wasn’t an issue as the Legendary Class Architect had already completed the city and was now decorating the vicinity into a sightseeing district to his taste.
In that case, they also requested a dedicated attraction zone for viewer participation broadcasts.
At least 10,000 Fox Spirits would gather in one place. Something is better than nothing in an empty yard, isn’t it?
“Oh! Wakamou! While you’re suggesting management positions, about this ‘Seoul Redemption’ thing. Miss Wanda Haye asked me for help. Can I join?”
“Well….if you mask your identity and use an alias.”
“Black Nigger. How about that?”
“Hey, is this kind of joking a trend nowadays? Sadako and Adelheid have been doing it too.”
“It’s fun.”
“As a broadcaster, it scares me…?”
“Then should I go with Black Monkey? Wakamou Forever!!”
Dorrison J Jackson laughed joyfully, saying he even prepared a slogan with crossed arms.
Wakamou asked worriedly if it was really okay, wondering if they might get assassinated by the Six Legged Beast in the field.
Jackson just smiled, saying he wasn’t the type to take blows lying down, reassuring Wakamou.
“Then, shall we go? There’s a meeting scheduled for today.”
“Sure! You gotta do this kind of stuff together. Feel the sense of belonging? Eh? Even smoke some big one together!”
“Oh, geez.”
“Wanna hit some?”
Wakamou flicked Dorrison J Jackson on the forehead too.
Even though cannabis is trending towards being legalized these days, offering it to others is bad.
Fans have VTubers who smoke, but Wakamou says no!!

“Our objective this operation is Mapo-gu and Seodaemun-gu. With support coming from both China and Japan, it seems like a relatively smooth resolution is ahead. Our task of reclaiming South Korea’s capital is just one step away.”
Though her emotions were welling up and chest swelling with pride, Manager Wanda Haye’s voice was thick with emotion.
As she began sharing her childhood memories of Seoul being her hometown, everyone started dozing off, and a furious manager slammed her hand on the table with a bang.
“Teacher, I wasn’t sleeping!”
“Rather than hometown tales, please recount your first love story.”
“They can’t empathize with the grief of losing the capital, Miss Wanda Haye! Haha!”
“Well, what more could I expect from you guys?”
Sadako, who was nodding off, bolted upright in horror, and Asuka, disinterestedly indifferent, showed complete disinterest. Liu Ying was simply sleep-deprived due to broadcast, nodding off. Seeing that, Wakamou pulled her into a tight embrace, letting her sleep, while Adelheid glanced on enviously.
“Let me hold you,” said Mei with open arms, prompting Adelheid to sit happily on her lap.
Really, no one was paying attention to Manager Wanda Haye’s briefing.
“….For climbers and military, the plan includes diverting monsters to Mapo-gu. We’ll focus all our efforts on restoring the Mapo-gu tower. Meanwhile, we’ll defeat the boss of the tower in Seodaemun-gu. It’s important to note…we have no idea what the bosses of the two towers are.”
They wouldn’t have to worry about Mapo-gu since others would handle it. She displayed a screen showing nothing but darkness, showing them the current situation in Seodaemun-gu, taken during broad daylight with lights shining, yet confirming that an artificial darkness had engulfed the entire district.
“Though uncertain what the boss is, everything disappears once it enters the darkness. The key point is maintaining [light].”
“Would being black help?”
“I don’t know, please don’t make such jokes.”
“Come on!”
“Be cautious not to touch the darkness. There’s movement detected coming from Russia. More specifically, they’re traversing from Russia through North Korea to Seoul? Russia claims it’s a ‘monster horde’ from the tower. But till now, no monsters have escaped the tower’s zones.”
“This must be the rumored artificial monster.”
Interjecting Manager Wanda Haye’s tale, Asuka responded with a bit of material she had on the matter.
While the United States artificially created climbers, rumors circulated that Russia artificially induced towers to collapse, triggering monsters and conducting experiments on them.
Regrettably, such rumors likely held a substantial truth.
“Moreover, quite a number of climbers have mobilized from Germany. Presumably followers of the Engineer, and it seems two Six Legged Beasts from the United States have crossed over to South Korea with the intent to kill Mr. Jackson.”
As usual, she mentioned there were interrupters meddling, but regretted not having procured information due to heavy interference regarding the German list.
Apparently, the Engineer side had been wary of Asuka for longer than expected, hence their thorough information control.
Strictly adhering to analog means perhaps. Yet, even so, they couldn’t hide that they were crossing over.
After all, China was cooperating with South Korea, after all.
“It’s fortunate the U.S. has an abundant flow of information.”
Manager Wanda Haye displayed two photos of two special American force operatives, stating they were cooperating well for some unknown reason.
“Confirmed to have arrived in Korea, are the Outlaw, specialized in street fights, and the Legendary Class Rainmaker, an Indigenous origin who manipulates weather and climate.”
“There were constant clouds over Seoul, wasn’t there? I guess it makes sense for the Rainmaker to show up.”
Having explained most about the [Six Legged Beasts] from the United States, Jackson’s explanations had already briefed most of the group.
Had they fought unawares, they would likely have stood no chance, given the formidable advantages a Legendary Class possessed.
Simply put, the greater the handicap, the more enormous the advantages. A class offering greater returns for its associated risks.
It was likely for this reason that Wakamou’s great performance, particularly with his life at stake, came about.
“Consequently, a large amount of support will be mobilized this time. Including Architect Jackson, I shall participate as well.”
“I also!! I want to go too!! Please include Adelheid von Bismarck in the list too! The artist who dreams of debut every day while painting fervently, despite overflowing poverty and loneliness to the extent of consuming 9 cups of coffee daily!! Please include me, an artist tired of solitude since the college entrance exams, clinging onto watercolor! I hate waiting alone just with my brushes!!!”
Adelheid, escaping from Mei’s lap, clung to the manager’s sleeve, begging. Her elocution, so perfect she could spew rapid-fire sentences leaving them impressed.
Is this the power of a German..? Unable to handle the artist’s lament pouring without pause into their ears, Manager Wanda Haye restrained Adelheid with a headlock, smoothly transitioning into successive holds followed by a finishing shrimp hold, easily neutralizing her.
“Artists aren’t any different from the norm, right!! There’s no enhancement of physical abilities no matter how much you allocate points, so no!! Frail artists should stay home and guard it!!”
“Aah– ack!!! Still, but I am a Legendary Class tooeeek!!!”
Regrettably, as Manager Wanda Haye stated, Adelheid bore little difference from ordinary individuals.
Like Wakamou and Jackson, there was no stat they could level up as a climber.
While Wakamou could enhance with mana and Jackson could rely on muscles gained through architectural work, she merely wielded her sculpting tools, groggily stumbling out of bed each morning, indicating noticeable frailty.
Manager Wanda Haye exclaimed they could not bring such burdens into a monster-laden place where they’d have to protect them ─ watching closely, Mei quietly raised her hand.
“Let’s bring her along.”
“I second that.”
Accompanying Mei’s declaration, Wakamou also revealed his intent to bring Adelheid along.
“Really…?”
Surprised to hear it from someone expected to prioritize the VTuber members, the manager relinquished her hold on Adelheid.
“….Since Wakamou says it, there must be a reason, and Adelheid knows the risks of impending doom, but she’s willing to go?”
“She’s putting in the effort to get acknowledged and praised! Despite climbing towers and preparing for her VTuber debut, Adelheid is a worthy, useful artist who can offer way more!! This is a chance to prove she’s an excellent loyalist who can stick closely to Wakamou’s side when needed!! She’ll in no way fear death!!! If she stays, she’ll hang herself saying it’s pointless!!! Uhheeheeheeh…because Wakamou said Adelheid can do it!!!”
“I mean, it’s not like she’s going there to do art. Really.”
Adelheid with a flushed face, swaying her body excitedly, was kicked aside by Sadako without further ado.
“Hah…anyway!! We plan to leverage resources from Wakamou’s first floor for our new South Korean government’s latest weaponry!! The new tanks to gradually enter the scene are the prototype of our money well-spent!! Feel free to expect greatness!!”
Excited against the mundane perception people had of her, Manager Wanda Haye excitedly recited specifications of the tank without being asked, revealing affection for the metallic grandeur divergent from usual female taste.
“Wait, wait─!! I’ve got a great idea! Broadcasts have to be fun, right? Dear ‘fusion fairy,’ to what extent can you carry it out?”
“Made some investments during level progression up to floor 45, so it shouldn’t be an issue? I hadn’t thought about using large structures created by architects, but considering it now.”
“But mana consumption must be severe, right? Our Empress’ alchemical transformations seem abundant, that’s great….over there, Miss China, what’s your maximum power production capacity?”
“Hm…? As long as mana flows, no problem? Why?”
Starting to feel uneasy about what they were scheming.
Asking questions, and then revealing an exaggerated grin, completing the thought process with his seal laugh, Jackson, seeming absolutely thrilled, clapped his hands in glee, insisting they routinize captivating broadcasts while overly elated, as befits his stature.

Boom─
A deafening blast echoed.
Launching towards Mapo-gu, the trajectories arced, turning the city into a sea of fire.
Continuously dropping flares and bait to draw monsters in, the aircraft swept the sky.
And as pheromone traps concocted by Alchemists lured monsters in from all directions, merciless bombardment engulfed the area.
While keeping distance, [Wizards] cast colorful spells, coupled with marksmen and archers commencing long-range assaults.
Despite incessant torrents, the monstrous horde seemingly knew no end.
Approaching the heart of Seoul, the Jongno-gu, the risk escalated as one neared the first crumbled tower in Korea.
The waiting Association President recalled the nightmares of that day, spurring unease for the unforeseen.
Infinite waves of monsters showed no signs of abating.
“No end in sight to this horde.”
Guilds from all over Korea were planned to tackle the remaining zones of Seoul.
Despite their efforts scattering the monsters, this abundance remained.
Establishing defensives along the Han River aiding in halting their passage with relentless bombardments with the aim to advance should the numbers decrease bit by bit, but…the audacity of it was nerve-wracking.
So many…too many monsters. Looking at the monstrous waves, seeming never-ending.
Beneath descending darkness, the appearance of the looming crumbled tower appeared exceedingly far.
~~♬♪♬
Amidst the bombardments, melody surfaced.
Classical orchestral tunes resonated in the battlefield’s center.
The enchanting serenade hauntingly and beautifully diffused into the air, drawing many eyes.
Among them, Engineer-induced climbers from Germany and the [Six Legged Beasts] from the U.S. stood.
Distinctly situated, each harboring different objectives ─ at least, only sharing notions of engagement in their respective operations was a mutual stance.
Hence, they camped safely within Seodaemun-gu, awaiting Wakamou’s party’s arrival.
Preventing contact within anonymous darkness, anticipating their inevitable encounter.
~~♬♪♬
Known by the title “Life is a Merry-Go-Round,” a tranquil tune afloat via megaphones.
Out of nowhere, a giant spider monster dropped ahead, revealing itself.
“Run!!! Full speed ahead!!! You can do it!! Best Uma Musume!!!”
Mei Xiao Long Bao, inside a hamster-wheel-like contraption, dashed at lightning speed. Utilizing the energy of the spinning wheel, with Mei’s discharged electricity serving as a power source, the colossal mobile fortress was on the move!!
Resembling precisely a certain moving castle, accusations of plagiarized design wouldn’t be without basis.
“Gulrrk glug glug”
Submerging her head into a mana potion container, Wakamou continuously supplied mana to maintain Mei’s lightning, completing arguably the most efficient Wakamou engine of the time!!
Whether hit by friendly bombardments or spells, the fortress consisting entirely of rare metals sustained not a scratch.
Incorporating Tesla coils spread across the fortress, discharging bolts toward monsters, ensuring they burnt through in automated interception, just like those relentless alien invaders bent on humanity’s extinction.
“I’m gonna dieeee!!!
“Less talk, more work!!”
Amidst the integrated fusion controlling the fortress and its moving legs, Mare Pirate and Hajime Ichigo seamlessly handled every fusion and intricately crafted component, persistently observing the fortress, facilitating continuous restoration.
The steering, beyond human purview, rested with the ultra-high-tech shikigami Aoi Asuka.
Functioning as a human radar, she sought out enemies, eyes big like balloons, guiding via pointed hand directions for the surrounding army to bombard.
“Weren’t these possibilities exclusive to an Engineer?! Besides, didn’t they include robots over there too?”
“Focus on defense!! Artillery is constantly realigning!!!”
“I swear…was Korean magic crystal research this advanced?”
“No way!!”
A [Shooter] from the German side shot [Mana Burn]-imbued rounds, only to bounce off seamlessly.
Incredulously, what they envisioned stood unequivocally as a tangible structure.
Engineer-side climbers, targeting both Wakamou and “Adelheid von Bismarck,” discussed how to halt the immense fortress.
Though traps were positioned, none seemed effective against such magnitude.
Amidst this, the Legend-class clad in Native Chief attire, the [Rainmaker], arose.
Bestowed with age-old “shamanistic-words” from his tribal chief, shortly prior to the tower’s emergence, lending him the words essential to mastering the Legendary Class transformation.
Simultaneously, deciding none other should undergo this class change, he annihilated an entire tribe, eradicating all related evidences thereafter ─ deemed a hideous criminal!!
“ᎠᎦᏍᎦ!!”
He verbalized the indigenous dialect.
Communicating with nature via spoken words, beckoning the heavens, befalling no portents till an enormous lighting bolt struck vertically, penetrating through the fortress.
Perfection without flaw, cleaving clean through in a singular stroke, the fortress halted, pitching forward while tumbling to a standstill.
Legendary Class [Rainmaker].
Little information was known, but…in a cloudy sky, the ability to freely alter the climate stood as his calling. Besides its mysterious feats lay numerous unexciting yet charming talents…but considering the eternally cloud-cast Seoul sky…residing within the [Six Legged Beast], this environment proved exceptionally advantageous.
A single blow opening a hole in the [Rare Metal] crafted fortress.
Lesser climbers would become mere ashes, leaving not even a carcass.
Inevitably, the teetering fortress began collapsing spectacularly── with a uproar, [Rare Metal] fragments showered in all directions akin to stones flung by a catapult driven by the Architect’s calculations envisioning such destruction beforehand, the entire encompassing area of western Seoul laid waste.
Regardless of weathering the storm through individual skill usage, Engineer-side suffered their entire inventory of protective items shattered, while the [Six Legged Beast] collectively dispersed another lightning by the [Rainmaker] to ensure survival.
Woosh──!!!
Amid the chaos of explosive vehement ruptures leaving everyone spellbound─ leaping forth from the ruins via spring-loaded propulsion, a Humvee crossed territory flying down the thoroughfare.
The learning of such witnessed by the German climbers prompted an equal amount of frantic movement.
“There it is!! Activate!!”
“Rainmaker signaled!!”
Alongside hand signals, with another flick of the Rainmaker’s hand ─ the world turned white in an instant.
His mere gesture spawned a snowstorm, rendering Seodaemun-gu arctic as though an impending Ice Age dawned.
It even froze the roads, causing the Humvee to skid and lose balance as it started to spin.
As soon as the Humvee began to lose speed, an enormous mana flux enveloped them.
“Forced teleport!! Unicorn squad member! Grab the wheel! We’re sending the Climber to a safe coordinate!” shouted Manager Wanda Haye, quickly recognizing the situation.
As machines hidden in every corner of the building activated, the mana stored in the embedded magic stones was unleashed, and a massive [Magic] spell was cast, causing the Climbers on the Humvee to disappear.
“Just as expected to this point.”
──It’s not that we can’t obtain the opponent’s information, it’s that we don’t know their tricks.
Nobody could surpass Asuka when it came to understanding machines.
Pulling the lever installed on the Humvee, there was a clanking sound as the [Snow Chains] were equipped on the tires.
This had been anticipated since they heard that the [Rainmaker] had joined.
And the Unicorn squad member took out the GPS, tracking the scattered members’ locations, and turned the Humvee in the direction where Adelheid and Mei were.
Honestly, he felt a bit skeptical about the whole scenario.
Why on earth was Adelheid, who as a Climber had no abilities different from ordinary people, even being considered?
Even if Wakamou felt she was a valuable talent, she hadn’t even reached the 30th floor yet.
※※※
“We really got shot through!!”
“Indeed.”
Since Asuka had already figured out how the group would split and where they would be sent, they intentionally fell into the trap.
The composition of the opponent’s forces, the number of members—Asuka had already been provided with all of this information from the moment they set foot in Seodaemun-gu and started exchanging information through their network.
They must have felt secure, thinking they were using a safe internal network that couldn’t be infiltrated.
But Asuka could manipulate signals at a wavelength level, ensuring that the trap wouldn’t even activate if she wanted to.
While the coordinates of the trap couldn’t be changed, they planned how the group would split.
In reality, it wasn’t even a trap. It was a warp device used by Climbers in the US as an escape tool.
The fact that each use cost a fortune, and that they had invested several of these for use as a trap, indicated that the engineers were determined to kill Wakamou and Adelheid.
Instead of trying to figure out where they were, Mei grabbed Adelheid and ran inside the building.
Ordinarily, she should have disguised herself as Adolf Lucia, but since they were after her life, she couldn’t bother with a disguise.
They were wholly unaware that their plan had been entirely unveiled and their positions were being monitored in real-time.
If they knew, they would have moved more professionally and it would have been troublesome, so Wakamou intentionally fell into the trap.
…….Considering that Adelheid had a body no different from an ordinary person, no matter how much you thought about it, it was a strategy that only made you wonder “Why on earth?”.
But conversely, Mei and Wakamou already knew about the [Skill] that 『Artist』 Adelheid von Bismarck possessed.
They developed their strategy based on that.
Whoosh──!!
“Ack!!”
A round object aimed perfectly at Mei, who was fleeing into the building, instantly wrapped around her and tied her up.
Barely making any noise as she was bound, Mei got stunned, unable to even use her [Skills], as if struck by a stun prodding device.
It was a [Mana Restraint Device] that had been specifically enhanced by an engineer solely for Wakamou, meant to subdue Climbers.
Its effect was simple: it blocked any use of [Mana].
With just this one weapon, the engineer could incapacitate Wakamou entirely.
“Uuuu….”
Adelheid glanced down at Mei, drooling and cornered at the entrance, before fleeing inside the building.
Before, she would have cloaked herself in the guise of Adolf Lucia. But considering the fact that they were after her life, she couldn’t disguise herself.
They were completely unaware that their plans were revealed entirely and being monitored in real-time.
If they knew, they would move more professionally and it would be a hassle, so Wakamou also chose to get caught in the trap.
…….Considering Adelheid’s body was no different from an ordinary person’s, you couldn’t help but question, “Why on earth?” with this strategy.
However, in contrast, Mei and Wakamou had been informed beforehand about the [Skill] that an 『Artist』 named Adelheid von Bismarck possessed.
Hence, they devised such a strategy.
Whoosh──!!
“Ack!!”
The round object accurately aimed at Mei, who was fleeing inside the building, instantly wrapped around her and bound her.
Unable to utter a word as she got bound and with all her [Skills] sealed, Mei shook as if struck with a stun gun.
It was known as a [Mana Restraint Device], an armament improved by an engineer solely for Wakamou, meant to suppress Climbers.
Its effect was simple: it blocked any use of [Mana].
The engineer could incapacitate Wakamou entirely with just one weapon.
“Ugh….”
Glancing briefly at Mei lying incapacitated at the entrance and drooling, Adelheid hurried inside the building.
Normally, she would overlay a disguise and assume Adolf Lucia’s appearance, but considering they were after her life, she couldn’t help but forego the camouflage.
They were yet unaware that their entire plan was being unraveled and their location was being revealed in real-time.
If they did know, they would act more professionally and make it troublesome; hence, Wakamou too opted to be guided into the trap.
…….For Adelheid, who had a physical body akin to that of an ordinary person, this was undoubtedly a puzzling strategy that left her wondering “why on earth?”
But conversely, Mei and Wakamou had already heard about the [Skill] that the 『Artist』 known as Adelheid von Bismarck possessed.
Hence, such a strategy was conceived.
Whoosh──!!
“Aagh!!”
The round object, specifically aimed at Mei as she fled inside the building, quickly entwined her, restricting her movement.
Without being able to even articulate her shock, all her [Skills] were sealed at once, leaving Mei trembling as if hit by a stun gun.
It was a suppression device named [Mana Restraint Device] that had been specifically recalibrated by the engineer for Wakamou.
Its effect was straightforward, blocking all [Mana] use.
The engineer, armed with just this device, could completely disarm Wakamou in an instant.
“Uuuugh….”
Adelheid briefly glanced down at Mei incapacitated at the entrance, drooling and dazed, before dashing inside the building.
Normally, she would have disguised herself to appear as Adolf Lucia, but considering they were after her life, she decided it was better not to cloak.
They hadn’t realized yet that all aspects of their plan were being uncovered in real-time, providing their location.
If they found out, they might act more professionally, complicating matters. Thus, Wakamou also chose to lure them into the trap.
…….Considering that Adelheid’s body is hardly different from a regular human’s, it’s indeed a strategy that makes one question “why on earth?”
Yet, on the other hand, Mei and Wakamou were already informed about the [Skill] that the 『Artist』 known as Adelheid von Bismarck possessed.
Consequently, such a strategy was devised.
Whoosh──!!
“Oof!!”
A round object aimed precisely at Mei as she fled within the building, instantly twisted around her and restrained her.
Unable to react, as she was tied up, she got all her [Skills] sealed, quivering as if she got struck by a stun gun.
This was a suppression device called the [Mana Restraint Device] specially improved by the engineer solely for the use on Wakamou.
Its effect was straightforward, prohibiting any kind of [Mana] usage.
Just with a single weapon, the engineer had the capacity to render Wakamou wholly powerless.
“Ouuu….”
Glancing down fleetingly at the incapacitated Mei drooling at the doorstep, Adelheid turned to flee inside.
Considering she would usually veil herself in Adolf Lucia’s guise, the fact that her life was under threat left her no choice but to defer the disguise.
Nevertheless, the opponents had not realized their entire strategy was being decoded and locations shared in real-time.
If they knew, they would be more professional making matters cumbersome, hence Wakamou decided to move in a planned intentional bait.
…….Looking at Adelheid’s physique that bore no difference from normal humans, it’s a strategy that begs the question “why on earth?”
Yet on the flip side, Mei and Wakamou had preemptively learned of the [Skill] owned by the 『Artist』 Adelheid von Bismarck.
Consequently, a strategy like this came into existence.
Whooosh──!!
“Ouch!!”
A round item aimed squarely at Mei as she was fleeing withing the building, instantaneously wrapped around her and restrained her.
Unable to articulate anything right as she was getting bound up, all her [Skills] were sealed shutting tight as if she was struck by a stun gun.
It was a suppression weapon termed as [Mana Restraint Device] that had been uniquely enhanced by the engineer exclusively meant for Wakamou’s demise.
Its effect? Simply shunning any [Mana] use.
The engineer, with just a solitary weapon, could effortlessly incapacitate Wakamou.
“Ouuuh….”
Taking a fleeting look down at Mei who was lying incapitated and drooling at the doorstep, Adelheid made a run for it inside the building.
Under normal circumstances, she would intertwine a disguise as Adolf Lucia, but since they were evidently after her life, she had to forgo the camouflage.
They were still oblivious to the fact that their entire stratagem had been picked apart and locations were being disclosed to Adelheid in real-time.
If they were aware of all these, it would prompt them to act more expertly, creating convolutions; thus, Wakamou chose to walk into the setup.
…….Considering Adelheid’s physiological structure was nothing out of ordinary from conventionally regular humans, it’s a strategy that led only to mulling over “Why on earth?”
Nevertheless, conversely, Mei and Wakamou had been informed ahead of time regarding the [Skill] which belongs to the 『Artist』 Adelheid von Bismarck.
Thus, such a strategy was born.
