Chapter 32

Chapter Thirty-Two, The Challenge of Stopping Just Short

The best tortures?

Si Jingzhu was taken aback for a moment.

A surge of wild joy suddenly washed over her.

He’s finally going to torture me?

Haha, as expected, in the end, this useless shrimp has fallen under my superior intellect, easily taking the bait!

Though she hadn’t actually lied before, as long as she managed to infuriate Young Master Sang, that was indirectly achieving her goal.

She had already begun to look forward to what kind of method Young Master Sang would use to torment her.

A whip? A wooden horse?

Or something a bit more inappropriate?

Ah!

Just thinking about it made her so excited!

Watching Si Jingzhu slowly break into a silly grin, even Young Master Sang couldn’t help but shudder.

Good heavens.

I thought I was twisted enough; who is this person acting all schadenfreude?

But even if this act would fulfill Si Jingzhu’s wish, Young Master Sang had to take action.

“Let me tell you, Si Jingzhu.”

With a villainous grin, he sauntered over to the rack of torture instruments, leisurely saying:

“Our Punishment Department is known as the most brutal hell on earth in the entire cultivation world for a reason.”

“Do you know how much blood and tears are embedded in each of these instruments from past prisoners?”

As he spoke, he picked up a whip as thick as a forearm.

The moment Si Jingzhu laid eyes on that whip, she nearly swooned with happiness.

Yes!

That’s the one!

Hit me with that!

A whip that thick, studded with iron barbs!

A single stroke would leave me bloodied and mangled, and it must feel so good!

But she barely had time to revel in the thought.

Young Master Sang suddenly muttered, “Wow, it’s so heavy, I can’t swing it.”

Then he picked up a thinner whip from the side.

Si Jingzhu: “…”

Fine, a thinner one will do. It should still hurt a lot.

And this thin whip also had a uniquely striking design. Its entire body was made of scales like a python; a single lash would undoubtedly make the skin burn from the scraped scales.

As a result.

That bastard Sang took a look and then set it down.

“All scales, really hard to hold.”

Si Jingzhu gritted her teeth: “I…”

Despite the urge to spew a mouthful of insults, she managed to hold it in.

After a painstaking selection, Young Master Sang finally picked a small, thin whip, just a short piece.

It would probably only leave a small red mark on someone.

“Great, this one it is.”

Si Jingzhu looked pitifully at the small whip in his hand.

She cast one last regretful glance at the torture equipment cabinet, filled with all sorts of instruments.

…Oh well.

No big deal, something is better than nothing.

The tiny one is kinda cute, too.

Having settled on his choice of instrument, Young Master Sang grinned wickedly as he walked behind Si Jingzhu, playfully hitting the whip against his palm.

“Hehe, Si Jingzhu, you brought this on yourself!”

“Back at the Immortal Gate, you bullied and insulted me daily. Now you’ve fallen into my hands; I’ll make you wish you were never born!”

Yes!

Make me wish I were never born!

Si Jingzhu was so overwhelmed with excitement that she almost cried.

Having abandoned everything to convince Shi Qingyan to help her escape the sect, she endured countless challenges, only to finally fall into the hands of demon cultivators.

After a long and torturous time of being imprisoned, finally.

Finally!

Finally today, she would get to experience the punishment she desired!

At this moment, the small whip in Young Master Sang’s hand felt like a delicious bone to Si Jingzhu.

She was practically drooling.

“Come on, hehe, hit me hard with that…”

She eagerly awaited Young Master Sang to strike.

But when he actually swung at her…

She felt something was off.

…Why doesn’t it hurt?

She turned her head in confusion, only to realize that the small whip had already hit her.

But she felt not a shred of pain.

Not even a mark!

“Haha! How’s that?!”

Young Master Sang wore a look of utter delight, as if he had unleashed every ounce of his strength with that one whip.

“Is it making your body shudder, your cries endless, even your soul trembling?”

“Haha, no matter how you howl and beg, I won’t let you off the hook!”

Si Jingzhu dryly opened her mouth, and after a long pause, she managed to choke out a line:

“…Did you not eat?”

Upon hearing this, Young Master Sang’s face turned red with anger, and he struck again.

Whap.

Still not painful.

“You weakling, are you even capable?”

Slap slap slap.

He hit several times, with each one seemingly harder than the last.

But Si Jingzhu only felt like she was being bitten by mosquitoes, hardly a sensation at all.

This made Si Jingzhu incredibly frustrated.

After all the anticipation for the exquisite punishment, why didn’t she feel anything at all?

No.

Push a little harder, would you?

Don’t hold back, hit me harder; have you not eaten or something!

Ironically, as the small whip landed softly, it gave her a vague tickling sensation, igniting an unbearable itch within her.

The more she was struck, the itchier it became.

The more itched, the less satisfied she felt.

This vicious cycle felt like being stopped just short of release.

It was painfully torturous.

And so, the prison witnessed a hilarious scene.

Young Master Sang grinned wickedly, laughing maniacally as he relentlessly whipped Si Jingzhu.

Yet she sat there, wide-eyed and immobile, completely oblivious, as if pondering the meaning of life.

Time passed, and eventually, Young Master Sang, panting and drenched in sweat, sat down beside her, still wearing a grim smile:

“So… how is it?”

“Is it… really painful… really terrifying?”

Si Jingzhu slowly turned her head, her eyes filled with despair and pleading.

“I’ll beg you. Can we switch to someone else?”

“Why not eat something and come back?”

“Heh, scared after being whipped by me, you want someone gentler with less strength?” Young Master Sang snickered coldly, “Let me tell you, dream on!”

“Si Jingzhu, today is just the beginning.”

“From today onward, I’ll be torturing you for an hour every day! You’ll find out why my Punishment Department has such a notorious reputation!”

With that, Young Master Sang triumphantly left the prison.

Leaving Si Jingzhu alone, sitting there as if in existential crisis.

Yet, his words seemed to trigger her desires. Memories of being alone at home surged forth, as if washing over her nerves.

She felt ants crawling all over her body.

Incredibly uncomfortable, yet unable to relieve herself.

“No…”

Her face flushed, her breaths quickened, and her eyes sparkled with a hint of longing. “Don’t… leave… don’t go!”

“I-I was wrong, I won’t look down on you anymore!”

“I was just joking earlier! You’re really impressive!”

“Don’t go!”
