—W-What’s this…
“That’s not how you use a spear. And why would the demon race use a spear?”
If the celestial race specializes in weapon techniques, then the demon race specializes in magic.
Their magic can break the laws of the world and perform impossible wonders.
‘But seriously, even if they’re a fake demon, using a spear?’
Even with magic, would it be enough to win? What on earth are they thinking?
I looked up at the sky in disappointment, and Baal’s aura turned ominous as he conjured another spear.
This time, there are ten of them.
Ten spears large enough to cover the sky.
—You bug…! Die!
“Hmph.”
The spears are shot towards me.
Though I say that, the power contained in those spears is not something to be underestimated.
They’ve gained immense strength, equivalent to an intermediate demon, and those spears are practically solidified masses of magic.
One hit would probably deal significant damage to my current self.
Crackle!
‘Then what’s the big deal?’
—?!
If I don’t get hit, then it’s all good.
Through the fourth job change, I’ve obtained the ‘Teshiniria’ maneuver.
Using the Roar of Acceleration, I found myself standing in front of Baal, dodging all of his spears.
Baal flinched in surprise and tried to unleash magic, but my hammer was already swinging down at him.
“Origin of Explosion.”
KWA-BOOM!!!
—Kraaaack!!
[The One Wearing a Carapace blinks, wondering what just passed by.]
[One Who Serves the Light doubts if they are dreaming.]
[One Who Opens Their Eyes is engulfed in anguish, unable to see anything with their own eyes.]
—Kugh! Keek… you damned… thing!
“Truly, it is the work of a god.”
While I try to minimize my use of the holy power to make Gapwoo shine, that was still a pretty powerful attack.
Even so, is he really the famous Baal of the Celestial Sphere? He withstood an explosive attack, the fourth-tier technique, without issue.
Baal clenched his fist, resembling a bull, as his body began to restore itself from the half-destroyed state.
Gugugugu!!
The magic that was spread throughout the demon realm started to gather into one place.
Kuaaaah…
Screams echo everywhere, and even Agareth, who was kneeling, suddenly stands up and looks at the sky.
—You shall pay the price for daring to disrespect this great Baal!
“B-Baal?!”
—Agareth. You’ve done well. Managing those useless 72 demons must have been quite a hassle!
“Baal! You are absolutely right! At this rate, the greatest god—… you bastard!! Why are you absorbing me as well?!”
—Well, you have a lot more to absorb, don’t you? Hahaha! Stop resisting and become one with me!
“Kraaaack!! I’ll die at this rate!”
—You can’t die!
KRAK!
Before Agareth’s crocodile could tear apart its master, a horn in the shape of a bull pierced the crocodile and bound Agareth.
No matter how supreme a god he may be, the opponent is the master of a celestial sphere.
Moreover, since Baal has absorbed all the demons from hell, Agareth cannot escape Baal’s grip by any means necessary.
[Hahaha! Right in the back!]
[Truly a demon!]
[Scared, so he absorbs right away!]
[Looks like the Archdemon!]
[Those demon guys were insulting Lily, and now look at them, eating their own kind!]
[Demon kind is just the worst, haha!]
[But why is everyone just watching Lily?]
—Kahahaha! So much power overflowing! It’s earlier than planned, but there was no reason to delay!
“What plan?”
—To kill all the stars in the universe and become the true, singular god! I was planning to exterminate the angels first, so this works out wonderfully!
[One Wearing a Carapace is filled with fear from the overwhelming strength.]
[One Who Serves the Light is angry, asking if they just declared war on Eden!]
[One Who Opens Their Eyes says that those plagued by greed crumble easily.]
—Kill all the angels and wipe out the celestial beings. Afterward, if I absorb all their power, I might be able to even kill the Master of the Tower.
“Is it okay to say something like that out loud?”
—Kuhuh… Of course! What could those ant-like beings possibly do before this transcendent body? Zeus? Odin? Those clowns are no match for me!
“…”
Baal, filled with confidence and arrogance.
His power is indeed impressive.
Having absorbed the strength of countless demons, he has grown near the apex, and it seems he could win even against Karabus’s main body.
At this level, he’s stronger than Nokju, the master of the New Continent’s stronghold.
Of course, he would surely lose if he faced the current celestial being, ‘Ertarn,’ which has devoured an entire world, but for me now, he’s quite a challenge.
In other words, with just Karabus’s ability, I cannot defeat this guy.
“Huh…”
—Then die.
Thousands, tens of thousands of spears fill the sky.
No, it’s beyond just filling the sky.
‘The sky has become spears.’
The entire sky here is already in Baal’s hands, and rather than using spears, it’s more like the sky soaked in magic is pouring out the shapes of spears.
Seeing the mix of magic and power, this attack is at least more plausible than before.
[One Wearing a Carapace is telling us to flee right now!]
[One Who Serves the Light insists we should kill that demon now!]
“Just a moment ago, you were telling me to kill myself.”
“You’re just a fake!”
That’s definitely not something you’d expect an angel to say.
I felt a disgust for the Celestial Race that was even stronger than my hatred for the Demon Race as I spun my hammer.
Whooooosh!
The hammer spun around.
With the Roar of Acceleration, my body shot up into the sky at a rapid pace.
Numerous spears of magic targeted me.
My body, cloaked in white lightning, dodged most of the spears, but I couldn’t evade all of them filling the sky, and I took a few hits.
These magical spears were sharp enough to pierce the shell surrounding my skin, protected by Karabus.
The Holy Power quickly healed the wounds, but since my opponent was a magic user, I couldn’t fully recover.
At least, it was a relief that they were mere fakes and not true magic, so the recovery wasn’t a huge hindrance.
Unless I excessively used Holy Power through the Wings of Light or spear techniques, it would be hard to capture Baal.
I had been eliminating spears with explosions for some time now, but Baal just kept filling the place with never-ending magic.
“I guess I’ll need to use some new techniques.”
—Ha! Go ahead, try anything…?!
“The Hand of Earth.”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A massive hand emerged from the ground, seizing a spear.
Even though the magic-made spear corroded the hands, here, the ground stretched endlessly.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
If one hand wasn’t enough, I’d just make more.
As a gap formed between Baal and the spears, my accelerated body moved once again.
—Where do you think you’re going!?
Of course, Baal wasn’t an idiot either; he immediately altered the form of the spear into a thin, sharp dagger.
A dagger so thin that it could barely be caught by my hands.
“Well, that’s even better.”
—You won’t be able to block this…
“The Storm of Clouds.”
From the heavily spinning hammer, a storm of clouds surged forth.
This was also a technique from Teshiniria, similar to the blunt technique, Cloud Dragon.
The difference was, while the blunt technique Cloud Dragon raised winds like clouds for obscuring visibility and was part of a consecutive striking technique called Thunder Dragon, this was a pure storm of clouds.
With just the Storm of Clouds, it was a technique sufficient to suppress my opponent.
The storm was sharp and cutting but blew away the weightless daggers, instantly opening up a “road” between the daggers and Baal.
“Roar of Acceleration, Explosive Circle.”
Countless techniques followed in succession.
Not just two techniques, but tens, hundreds of techniques built up since I started spinning the hammer.
An overwhelming explosion, layered and accelerated, burst forth, sending Baal flying as all the magic converged into one spot.
Baal trying to escape to another dimension beyond the shattered moon.
“Not so fast.”
I caught the hammer again.
All around, the storm clouds combined with the rampant Roar of Acceleration left traces of “white lightning” erratically scattered in the sky.
Scattered lightning dwells within the hammer.
—…Kuh-heh! Wait! I’ll be back… and I will surely tear you apart…”
“Bludgeoning Technique: Thunderstorm Dragon.”
The judgment of lightning struck Baal.
■
The technique obtained from Teshiniria through the fourth round is undoubtedly an excellent technique.
I can’t be sure yet, but it’s like an upgraded version of the ‘Bludgeoning Technique’ I developed while interacting with the dragon tribe.
But does that mean the Bludgeoning Technique I already mastered is now worthless? Not exactly.
“…It’s about using it according to the situation. Just because a technique is strong doesn’t mean it’s the best in every situation.”
During battle, circumstances can change at any time, and there’s always the best technique for each moment.
[Kyah!]
[Great Lili! Great Lili! Great Lili!]
[Even without using Holy, it’s crazy strong, lol]
[Fourth round really does seem like a cheat]
[Hammer >>>>>> Spear]
[But hammer techniques are cooler than you’d think]
[God of Hammers]
[For real, lol]
[Are you becoming a Celestial now?]
[Are you going to rise in the Celestial rank?]
“Yeah, it feels like it could be time.”
Celestial Sphere Eden and Celestial Sphere Hell.
After turning both celestial spheres into the Crab Celestial Sphere, I subdued them all.
With this, wouldn’t the tower recognize me?
Ding!
[The Great Tower is watching you.]
“Oh.”
[The Great Tower is interpreting your ‘myth’…]
[The Tower acknowledges you.]
[Somewhere in the universe, your constellation is being created.]
[Generating an appropriate epithet for you as the new star…]
“Oh-oh-oh.”
Finally a Celestial.
And an appropriate epithet too. What will it be?
The Raccoon and Leo said that a Celestial’s epithet is not self-defined, but rather what the Tower’s world power ‘decrees.’
This is said to be based on the ‘myth’ built up by the Celestial themselves.
‘It seems I acted like Gapwoo’s minion, and Gabriel is One Who Serves the Light… How about “One Who Denies the Light?” Or since I’ve ravaged the Demon Realm too much, maybe “Demon Realm Conqueror?”’
Whatever it is, as long as it’s not something weird, it’s fine—
[Generation Complete.]
[Your Celestial Name is ‘One Who Denies the Light’.]
