Chapter 70

[Lily vs Black Battle Analysis]

Author: Potato

(In-game 1v1 battle video)

So yesterday, I had a 1v1 showdown with Lily and Black, and honestly, it was just epic.

First off, at the start, Black used Dark Field and closed in. The skill itself was enhanced both transcendentally and by attributes, so once he got in range, you could say he had won over half the battle right there.

If you consider stat drops or any additional buffs, he had a specs difference of almost 3 to 4 times over the opponent.

But suddenly, her eyes sparkled (not sure what it was, but it was cool), and a storm started raging.

Then, Dark Field got ripped apart, and Black staggered back, injured.

(Short clip)

This scene looked like one of the capture techniques Lily always talks about.

According to her, she feels the mana to do it, and I just wish she would share how.

But seriously, does she know I can’t do this? LOL, that makes me so mad.

After that, they exchanged moves and Black’s Multi Blade was barely holding up, and here’s where things got tricky.

(Short clip)

Black unleashed his ultimate move as the Great Magic Sword Master, ‘Moon Cutter,’ but somehow, Lily disrupted it and absorbed it.

(GIF of black energy getting sucked in)

If you look closely, you can see that the Dark Field created during the casting of the Moon Cutter was sucked in by her spear.

It seems like she absorbed the dispersed mana in the air and used it, which is pretty impressive!

And she replicated the Moon Cutter!

(Clip of Lily drawing a black line)

Just epic.

The original ultimate of the Great Magic Sword Master was already cool, but using a spear makes it even cooler, LOL.

I bet it’s similar to the sword absorb technique that Magic Sword Masters use in ranked battles. I really hope she streams soon to explain it.

Summary in one line:

1. Turn on the stream.

─ Capture technique?

─ It’s kinda embarrassing Black lost, LOL. Is this the level of rankers nowadays?

└ Lily is just incredible, that’s all.

└ To be honest, if Lily publicizes that technique, it’ll be so common.

└ ? Is this dude crazy? Using techniques well is skill, LOL.

└ If they’re so jealous, they should just hurry and reveal how to feel mana, LOL.

└ Yeah~ even without that, her skill is just insane.

─ Lily seriously who’s her alternate character?

└ At first, I thought she was Chuka Chip, but since she’s with him, never mind.

└ In my opinion, she’s just a new face, sure.

└ Now saying it’s an alternate character feels weirder, LOL.

─ I heard Lily had over 100,000 viewers yesterday.

└ ?

└ For real, her growth trajectory is insane!
I’m crazy

Honestly, there isn’t a streamer like Lily, right? She’s got great looks, skill, and personality. She’s got it all, how can you not watch her?

For real, lol.

So how do you feel mana?

See it with your mind’s eye.

Don’t you know the heart of the sword? Ah, lol.

I’m on day 10 of mana training and I’m not feeling anything, what the hell is this?

It’s because you lack NOOOOOOOOOWLEDGE, lol.

“I have to repay them…”

Lately, the donations have been coming in seriously strong.

People are in a frenzy because they can’t send donations for Twitch, and my YouTube average views have easily surpassed 3 million.

[I faced off against Miss Yena]

Lily / 7.41 million views. 7 days ago.

It’s an honest title that doesn’t pull special aggro, but it’s blown up to 7 million views in just 7 days.

Not to mention, it’s not just this video; other videos have also crossed the basic 2 million views.

Subscriber count has now exceeded 1.5 million.

Both Twitch and YouTube are doing well, so for the viewers’ sake, I should give something back.

What do viewers want the most?

I sat down for a moment to think.

While I was considering charitable activities, I feel like doing it in the form of donations wouldn’t be what viewers want.

In the first place, they sponsored me with kindness, but if I just give that money to complete strangers, it feels off.

In the past, it was fine giving money from nobles or lords to the poor beneath them, but modern viewers aren’t their rulers and have no connection.

Dividing the money back to viewers… doesn’t feel quite right.

While giving is important, if I’m not careful, the essence of the stream itself might get blurred.

Some might start watching my stream not just to see me, but for the money.

‘It’s definitely about content.’

One of the biggest reasons viewers tune in is for the ‘entertainment’.

Feeling entertained and satisfied after watching my stream.

Now that I think about it, people really enjoyed that time when I did a stream teaching Leo and others something.

“……I’ll teach them.”

I closed my eyes.

The holy essence I first imbued into my body long ago. Countless techniques I’ve mastered flow through my mind.
The first time I learned a technique from someone.

When my life as a saintess became burdensome.

At that moment, reality began to feel nostalgic for Lily, who had been living in a daze, prompting her to put down all her burdens and leave the village.

Not long after that, I heard the news from the village.

I met him, who was on the brink of death.

…You must pay the price.

Why, you ask? Because that’s how the Celestial Race operates.

Aren’t you the same?

“I won’t accept it. Then why did you save me?”

‘That can’t be the way of the Celestial Race.’

Creeeak…

“…Inconsiderate human.”

I really don’t like Celestials.

“Lily~”

“Miss Yena, welcome!”

I logged into Deoen and called for Yena.

She seemed to have something going on, but the moment I called her, she rushed in like a puppy and greeted me.

“Is there something urgent?”

“Of course! No problem!”

Yena shrugged her shoulders as if she had nothing left to do.

Well then.

“Thank you. I’ve made plans, but my knowledge within Deoen is lacking.”

“You haven’t been playing long, so it’s understandable. Plus, I’m getting a free lecture out of it.”

“Anyway, it’s the same if I watch the broadcast.”

I had a plan in mind, but I wasn’t sure where to get the supplies.

I could wander around, but if there’s someone who knows well, I should get help.

“So you’re asking me to get ‘mana stones’ and ‘magical tools’?”

“Yes. Whether they’re expensive or cheap, I need whatever I can get.”

What I’m trying to do is a course on the flow of mana.

Both viewers and various people have been overflowing with requests to learn how to control mana lately.

But the problem is there isn’t a specific method for controlling it.

You just have to feel it well, so there’s really no exact way.

That’s why in the past, just being able to feel mana was enough to be considered an outstanding mage; feeling mana isn’t easy.

It took me a very long time to actually grasp the ‘Holy’ energy as well.

Moreover, the bigger problem is that many users have already forcibly learned mana through the system.

Once mana has settled in the body, it moves according to the system’s designation, so releasing that forced constraint and moving it independently is no easy task.

The reason many people consider controlling mana to be impossible is likely due to this.

“There are two ways to control mana. One is to initiate the flow of mana independently within your body, and the other is to receive help from ‘magical tools’.”
“How to induce the flow of mana and how to get help from a ‘Magical Tool.'”

I’m going with the second option: using a Magical Tool.

It’s a method often used by academy students who receive support from the Royal Family.

“I used to give lectures back in the day.”

During my time as a Saintess, I reluctantly gave a lecture at the academy upon the principal’s request while I was touring the place.

It was surprisingly fun for something I was pushed into.

Of course, I haven’t been able to see the academy again since it was erased by the Demon Race years later.

“So that means Lady Lily can use what I’m using, right?”

“Not perfectly, but somewhat? You can think of it as a stimulant. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy afterward.”

“Okay. Then, do you want to try with this one?”

Yena hands over a blue gem.

It looks like a finely crafted piece of art.

“This is a rare gem that comes from the Paradox Scorpion living in volcanic regions. It’s often used as a magical material. It costs about 10 gold.”

“200,000 won. I’ll settle up and send it all at once later.”

Yena nods, understanding.

Normally, she would have made a fuss about being able to pay this much herself, but since I kept refusing, she seemed to accept it.

I grip the blue gem in my hand. I can feel a surprisingly high purity of magical power embedded in it.

A gem with some resistance.

Slowly, I apply pressure and gradually infuse my magical power.

Paaa…

Crack!

“Ah.”

The gem shatters. What was once the size of my palm breaks apart and, after condensing repeatedly, falls into my hand, now the size of a ping-pong ball.

It shrank drastically.

Yena’s eyes widen in surprise as she marvels at the gem, as if she’s never seen anything like it before.

“Whoa. What the heck? The item’s name changed!”

“It’s because the structure itself has changed. I broke and reassembled the mana links that make up the gem.”

“…Lady Lily, what on earth are you doing?”

“A mage…?”

I do handle a bit of magic.

If I were of the Demon Race, I probably wouldn’t have completed over half of the World Quests!
