Chapter 32

The ship carrying Yena and me crosses the vast sea.

There was nothing trying to stop us that was more than twice the size of the ordinary ships we saw at the port, which left the viewers expecting an event somewhat disappointed.

Since Yena, who was bored, initially enjoyed sightseeing, she has now brought a catch ball to ask me to play with her.

[Isn’t a pirate appearing?]

[Bring on the pirates!]

[Seriously, with a ship this big, it’s about time something showed up.]

[Pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate!]

[Pirate chatter is insane, LOL.]

[Ah, I’m saying I’m bored.]

[Honestly, if there’s going to be an event, it’s got to be pirates.]

A ball flies through the air. A ball floating high up in the sky.

I easily jumped up to catch it and adjusted my strength to throw it back to Yena.

Yena catches the ball at a normal speed, not that of an assassin.

Another ball comes flying.

“Usually, do pirates appear?”

“Sometimes? But since the sea is so vast, they don’t show up unless there are special conditions. It’s more likely to run into marine monsters.”

Calmly catching the ball, Yena brings another one to make it more fun and throws two at me.

“When it comes to sharks or flying fish, if we go to the northern sea, we’ll find crab turtles, silver fish…”

“Aren’t those more like just regular fish rather than monsters?”

If that’s the case, they probably wouldn’t cause much trouble for the ship or people.

Maybe for a small boat, but this ship is quite big.

As I caught the two balls at a rapid speed, Yena flicked her hand.

She expertly catches the two balls darting out at angles on either side.

“If you end up meeting them, you’ll know. They’re not just ordinary fish; these monsters are incredibly strong.”

“Hmm…”

“And since they’re sea monsters, fighting them in the ocean will level you up.”

That sounds troublesome in many ways.

It’s clear that Yena and I are specialized in combat as a spearman and an assassin.

We’re not exactly well-suited for dealing with monsters beneath the ship.

It’s not like we can use holy magic or any magic like before.

‘Does Yena have something in mind?’

Still, given that she’s a ranker inside the top 100 and has earned plenty of rewards before, I’d hope she has some weapons to handle it.

In the middle of catching the balls, a question suddenly popped into my mind.
“…So, is there no such thing as a Kraken?”

“A Kraken?”

[Yes, there is]

[Yeah, there is]

[For sure]

[Both of them sure receive well]

[It’s not like there isn’t one]

[It doesn’t show up unless it’s raining]

[If a Kraken shows up, Yena’s ship is doomed…]

[The ship is super expensive, and it would turn to junk right away? LOL]

[When a Kraken appears, the large guild makes an emergency rush to get on their ships]

[Kraken tastes good, right? Yeah]

Kraken.

The Celestial Race and the Demon Race had no rivals besides each other, so they divided the world, but the sea was not part of their territory.

“Specifically, it was because the winged races preferred to avoid the water.”

Anyway, the sea was free from the influence of the Celestial and Demon races, allowing the ancient demon beasts of the sea to grow without rivals.

Among them, the overwhelming heavyweight and strength belonged to the octopus monster, Kraken.

Kraken became notorious as the disaster of the sea, devouring ships and marine creatures.

Of course, after causing such a ruckus, it ended up getting turned into octopus sashimi as a penalty for knocking over a baby Celestial that was just out to explore the sea.

The funny thing is, that baby Celestial only ended up with a slightly broken arm, and even that healed nicely under the high Celestial’s recovery magic.

“Thinking back, it’s ridiculous.”

The disaster of the sea turning into octopus sashimi in an instant.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Kraken is weak.

It didn’t knock down the baby Celestial hard enough to kill it; it was just a huge mistake due to its own massive size.

The high Celestial even took about 10 seconds to take down Kraken…

Even my past self couldn’t confidently claim a 100% victory against Kraken.

“Kraken. It usually shows up in other books and stories besides Deoen. One thing’s for sure: if it comes out now, we are definitely screwed.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes. Usually, this is referred to as a ‘World Boss,’ and unlike other bosses, it appears at random times and places with a low probability. When it appears, a message goes out to the entire server.”

“Attention: Kraken has appeared in which channel and area!”

“Like this.”

“So it’s about taking it down together.”

“Exactly. World Bosses are similar to dungeons and systems, so usually, the first discoverer and the one with the highest contribution get to take the good stuff.”

[Honestly, just discovering it is a win, right?]

[Hasn’t it been a while since a World Boss appeared?]

“I’m craving a World Boss.”

[Info) Even if discovered, it’s a loss if the ship gets wrecked]

[It’s better to have ten pirate ships; at least you can try to recover them, unlike Kraken, which just wrecks! LOL]
“Ten enemies are a bit better; at least they could be taken back somehow. The Kraken? Just smash it, lol!”

“The Kraken has no mercy for the ships or humans.”

“Just launch the Kraken Spear, easy!”

“That thing with a 0.0178% chance?”

“With the current body and power, there’s no way.”

“We don’t know how different the Kraken over there is from the one here, though.”

“It’s definitely going to be dangerous.”

“We better hope it doesn’t rise.”

Whoosh-! The ball rises high. The flow of the ball is beyond my control.

Yena’s straw hat flies up into the sky, and the huge sail starts flapping wildly.

The ship sways in an instant as all the items on deck are pulled towards one spot.

Chairs, various drinks, tarps, and balls swirl chaotically, losing their center.

The only ones maintaining balance on the ship are Yena and me.

[?]

[What is this?]

[??????]

[Is it flying?]

[The wind is really strong.]

[Is the Kraken showing up?]

[Is it the Kraken?]

“Please, Kraken, please, Kraken, please, Kraken, please, Kraken, please, Kraken, please, Kraken, please, Kraken, please, Kraken, please, Kraken!”

[?]

“It’s not raining though.”

“It doesn’t seem like it’s the Kraken either.”

“Why does an incident happen wherever we go? Lol.”

“What has appeared?”

“Wait a sec.”

Yena swiftly changes out of her summer outfit into combat gear, grabbing a dagger, and heads up to the bow of the ship.

She frowns intensely.

I take out my spear, getting closer to the bow, and see a faint something amidst the stormy wind.

“…a person?”

The wind blows, but there’s no rain or lightning. The storm swirls around a single existence.

Inside the storm, it’s calm.

Standing there is a silhouette of a person carrying something small.

Whether it’s a robe or if it’s just formed that way, their body looks heavy.

“Are they wrapped in something?”

What’s clear is that this faint silhouette is the one causing the wind.

“It’s not a person.”

The dagger is infused with a red aura.

Crack-! With a sharp sound, the edge of the red dagger pierces through the silhouette.

Hahaha-!

However, the pierced silhouette bursts into laughter, quickly healing the wound and flying high into the sky.

As a result, the wind shifts and the ship shakes once more.

Hahaha-!

Hahahaha-!

Hahaha-!

Hahahahahaha-!
The winds that burst forth from the storm quickly filled the sky.

The winds, with a mischievous small hand, wildly touched the ship’s sail, causing Yena to scream in shock.

“Hey! Don’t touch that! Do you know how expensive this is!”

– My friend. Holding. It.

A short, concise transmission rang like telepathy.

In an instant, the round green eyes between the silhouettes sparkled.

Unlike what’s visible, the warm energy in those eyes was focused on me, no, on my wrist.

[Is it a spirit?]

[Seems to be because of the Silphid bracelet]

[If you can control a spirit, you must be at least intermediate level]

[LOL the ship’s doomed]

[Is it going to sink in a day after setting out?]

[Let’s just pray and think about it]

[Info) It hasn’t even been 3 hours since we set sail]

“Is it because of this?”

The emerald bracelet of the Silphid around my wrist sparkled.

The bracelet buzzed and vibrated incessantly.

As the bracelet fully revealed itself, the eyes of the silhouette quivered.

Suddenly, a transparent veil extended out, enveloping the ship and surrounding sea, and a system window from the dungeon appeared in front of Yena.

[A dynamic dungeon is being generated in the Rizan Strait!]

[Tip: Spirits can be anything. From a mischievous and kind young child to a very wicked and evil demon beast. Be careful! The longer a spirit has lived, the higher the chance it’s not your ally.]

Dungeon and tips.

For a brief moment of surprise at the sudden dungeon creation, the identity of the being hidden in the silhouette was fully revealed.

A reddish-brown robe laden with translucent green animals.

And within it…

[A mischievous wind blows.]

[The embracing wind, Nerindia encounters you.]

“…Crazy. An advanced spirit.”

[??????????]

[Advanced spirit entry, LOL]

[Is this for real?]

[What is a spirit taming snowball;;]

[Let’s go hunting spirits~]

[That’s super strong]

[Lily, is that the level of a walking event? LOL]

[Seriously, isn’t this like Conan at this point?]
