A casual broadcasting vibe, prepared for a watch-along content.
I decided to watch an anime called “Legend of the 11th King,” which I recently bought on Twich and had decent reviews.
However, contrary to my expectations, the reactions were not very good.
I didn’t show it openly, but it was a time when I realized that even this type of watch-along broadcast, which I thought would be easy, required its own know-how.
In this kind of content, reactions matter a lot. Although I’ve improved a lot since becoming a Kayak, it was still quite difficult for me, who was born with a naturally emotionless and matter-of-fact personality.
In a way, I was wearing an outfit that didn’t quite fit. Unlike the Abyss, where I receive praise and loads of donations just by playing games without a camera and mic, this required my own efforts.
Just as for someone, games might be harder and reactions easier, for me, the Abyss was easier while this kind of reaction was harder. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.
As a result, I unintentionally received a bit of criticism. I got beaten up by fans of “Legend of the 11th King,” and those specific viewers.
“Why do you laugh and break immersion? It’s a serious scene, why are you laughing? Can’t you empathize with the protagonist’s feelings? Are you a psychopath?” and so on.
I wasn’t bombarded with outright curses, but it hit me harder than that. Usually, such sharp remarks feel more painful than mindlessly hurled insults.
Especially since I had a past, their words stung even more. I’d been called a robot or someone devoid of emotions way too many times before.
For me, the comment about lacking empathy and not being able to watch anime together was like a trigger button—one I didn’t even know existed.
And so, I stubbornly developed a bit of determination.
Even though I received negative reactions from some viewers and clashes with my regulars, I still felt the urge to do watch-along anime content again.
I wanted to prove to the viewers who dismissed me as someone who only played games well that I couldn’t appreciate anime.
I longed to hear from them that my incredible reactions astonished them, and they were sorry for not recognizing who I am, that watching the content with me was enriching and enjoyable.
I wanted them to regret, feel devastated, and ultimately become so obsessed with me that they’d never want to enjoy watch-along content with anyone else!
I might have exaggerated a bit, but this was my primal heart and desire.
However, was there a reason to bring back a content that had already caused such an uproar? Was it necessary to take risks and go on an adventure? There was even a possibility of incurring losses for the broadcast, with the risk of regular viewers splitting.
My contemplation didn’t last long. A brief moment of thinking led me to a clear conclusion.
I’m outta here.
“…If you wanna do it, just do it.”
I nodded as I said that. It had turned into one of my values in no time.

[Was saving to watch with the 11th King Kayak, but weirdos barged in, so I’m done watching ㅋㅋ so annoying]
[This is why you shouldn’t eat with losers ㅇㅇ Once you give in to one request, they keep asking for more]
[Isn’t watching anime just for nerds and watching streams for losers? Hmm…]
[Yep~ From now on, I’m just going to focus on the Abyss~]
[The Broadcast Host seemed a bit hurt yesterday]
[Kayak trying to act tough but is secretly soft-hearted. Definitely won’t watch together again]
[It’s not about watching together but the fact that she might take a break today that’s the real issue ㅋㅋ]
[If she takes a break, I’m protesting at the 11th King’s gallery]
[Those guys are innocent;;]
Kayak’s broadcasts, running irregularly. In the chat room of the broadcast without an owner, viewers gathered in small groups, each sharing stories.
Even before the broadcast started, here were the people lingering in the chat. It was a common sight to see when Kayak’s stream wasn’t live. All the folks hanging around here had completely fallen for Kayak.
For them, Kayak was the very center of their lives; she was the benchmark of their day-to-day existence. Therefore, hearing that they could watch the trending anime, Legend of the 11th King, alongside her was a delight.
They could enjoy the trending anime without losing any time with Kayak’s broadcast. It was a great situation for those who couldn’t miss either the anime or the stream.
But yesterday, everything changed. Was the one who caused chaos an extreme fan of Legend of the 11th King or an intelligent anti who didn’t want to watch the anime? Who knows, but the broadcast from yesterday was a complete mess.
From Kayak’s perspective, who didn’t mind not doing watch-along content, there was no reason to watch the anime together anymore.
She wasn’t overly interested in the show itself, and she wasn’t lacking in broadcast quality either. She could just switch to other content since it seemed likely from her past broadcasts.
So, those left in the chatroom were fiercely condemning the viewers who stirred up trouble yesterday.
In the midst of all this, out of nowhere, Kayak’s broadcast started without any warning.
“Kayak is live!”
– Day 2 of watching Legend of the 11th King together.
The title of the suddenly started broadcast was easily exceeding the viewers’ expectations. Contrary to what people thought regarding her not doing watch-alongs anymore, it seemed like today she was planning to watch the anime together again, just like yesterday.
[Legend of the 11th King entry, lol]
[Aren’t you the one who left yesterday? And you’re watching again today?]
[As expected, the free-riding broadcasts belong to Camilla, lol]
Of course, it’s always a feast for the viewers, right, Camilla? LOL
The 11th King is indeed entertaining! LOL
We should just stick to the Abyss, hmm…
Aren’t the nerds going to cause a commotion again?
Please keep a tight rein on the chat!
Ah, I missed it yesterday, so this is my first time seeing it today.
You can still enjoy the 11th King even if you start from the middle!
“Hello, everyone. Today, just like yesterday, we’ll be marathon-watching the 11th King. I think we got to episode 6 yesterday, and surprisingly it’s quite fun… Yes. I’ll be really absorbed today, so don’t worry too much. Of course, spoilers and excessive criticism will be banned immediately.”
With that, Kayak promptly started the animation without any delay, showing her eagerness.

Kayak, determined to show the naysayers with her reactions, was met with an unexpected silence.
But it was only natural. Watch party content, by nature, doesn’t really present much to show.
The overall vibe of the broadcast had to be calm, barring specific moments like when a highlight of the video comes up.
Kayak’s stream was the same as she immersed herself in the buildup scenes, with the viewers doing the same.
The summary of the 11th King’s plot is simple: a large-scale apocalypse caused the fall of the nation, leaving the throne vacant.
As a result, powerful individuals around the world began to claim they are kings, and these power-hungry figures engage in a struggle for the throne.
True to a boy’s manga, the protagonist Yuta dreams of becoming a king, but he currently lacks an active force and is weak compared to other strong characters. The main focus of the animation is his gradual growth and ultimate ascension as the central king.
“Hey, boy. What’s your dream?”
“I’m going to be the central king! I’ll create a world where no one goes hungry!”
“That’s quite a big dream, huh.”
He was working alongside Kaito, the strong man and king candidate of the region.
“Kaito? Looks like he’s a supporting character. He has a bit of that mentor vibe, right? At first, he was tough on him, but now he’s really looking out for him.”
Then it cuts to a scene where a man from Kaito’s crew receives money from someone and hands over a map outlining a secret passage to their hideout.
It was a clear indication of betrayal.
[Something’s about to go down!]
[I’m feeling uneasy about this…]
[They’ve laid down hints left and right, LOL]
[But seriously, why is the direction so good for an anime?]
[These days, good anime trashes most movies easily!]
[Kaito’s not going to get killed, is he?]
[Something feels off here.]
In the very next scene, another powerful group, Shin Getsu, is seen rushing into the hideout through the secret passage, seeking to absorb Kaito’s crew.
The faction of Shingetsu immediately storms into the hideout through a secret passage.
-…Iron, is this betrayal?
-I’m sorry, brother. I, I need the money.
-How dare this guy disrespect you, brother!
To make matters worse, Kaito gets ambushed by a subordinate in the faction. Stabbed in the side, he bleeds from his mouth and says,
-Yeah, I guess it’s for my mother’s medicine. Did you get enough money?
-…
-Then it’s fine… Kaito Pirate Crew! Everyone run! Return to the hideout safely! That’s an order from the leader!
-…Leader!
-Damn! We can’t just leave the leader behind!
-Brother!
-Kaito!
“No, it doesn’t seem like we’re really outnumbered. Can’t we just fight? Oh, are Kaito’s crew weaker? No, they’re saying they can’t run but they’re slowly escaping. The leader’s just posturing and not doing anything.”
[LOL]
[These guys are all former criminals, right? Yeah, they’re trash at their core.]
[Kaito, damn the romantic loser.]
[Look at them trying to escape now, LOL.]
[Only Yuta, the only sane one, is trying to save Kaito.]
-Get out of here, kid. Go, go become a real king!
-Kaito! No!
-Still using informal speech, huh, heh… but it’s the last time now.
The protagonist and Kaito’s crew flee the hideout, while Kaito stays behind to protect his allies, eventually collapsing after he can’t hold on any longer.
Afterward, the humiliated Yuta vows sincerely, unlike before.
-…I’ve made a vow.
-I will truly become a king. I will become a king and—
At that moment.
Sniff
Kaya, who had been silently watching, starts to sniffle. Upon hearing the sound, the viewers on screen couldn’t contain their disbelief.
[??? Are you crying?]
[This isn’t even a crying scene.]
[As expected, Kaya’s sensitivity, LOL.]
[This is the protagonist’s awakening scene, it’s just beginning, why are you crying?]
[Kaito is handsome, though….]
[Alpha Male dying makes Kaya sad.]
“No, Kaito’s crew always talks big while drinking and turns their backs on him in the end. I feel sorry for Kaito. He ends up getting stabbed while protecting weaklings….”
[Was that what’s sad, LOL?]
[Your crying point is really different from others….]
[This crying came out of nowhere, it’s surprising;;]
[It is sad, though, LOL.]
[I’ve never seen someone cry for Kaito before.]
[Kaito’s crew has numbers, but they’re all useless.]
[For real, these guys are just shouting with no backup.]
Afterward, the scene of Kaya crying becomes a clip that circulates throughout the community. It’s even edited together with her saying she wasn’t immersed during episodes 1 and 2.
From then on, no one dared ignore Kaya’s watch-along content anymore.
