Chapter 192

The woman was a tycoon.

She was born with everything. Thanks to her wealthy background, she could have whatever she desired.

A grand mansion, expensive cars, luxury brands wrapped around her body, and even people.

We were living in an age where money was king. There was nothing that couldn’t be obtained with cash. If you couldn’t get something, maybe you should think again about whether you had enough money.

With enough wealth to fill a bathtub with gold and bathe in it, there was nothing she couldn’t acquire.

Owning dozens of businesses, her name was Isabel Brown. One could even say she was a conglomerate.

Because she had never lacked for anything since childhood, Isabel’s personality was quite fickle.

She easily got bored and lost interest in things. As a result, there were few sports she hadn’t tried and almost no hobbies she hadn’t explored.

Recently, she had picked up a new hobby.

It was watching internet broadcasts.

“Just like this, you can pass! It’s really easy, right?”

Currently, the streamer Isabel was watching was from the East. Though technically Asian, her skin was fairer than many Caucasians and she had blue eyes.

Isabel thought she must be mixed-race or perhaps her parents were Westerners, and she had moved to the country called Korea.

She already memorized the name. Kayak. Streamer Kayak. It was quite rare for Isabel, who typically showed little interest in others, to remember a name like that.

How she stumbled upon Kayak’s videos was a bit of a haze. The next thing she knew, she was accessing her VTube channel and watching a video highlighting her life.

Since Isabel had received gifted education from a young age, she was fluent in ten languages, including Korean, which was tremendously helpful.

Each video had English subtitles, but understanding her words through subtitles was a far cry from comprehending her actual voice.

“So easy.”

As Isabel played the video, it transitioned smoothly to the most recent one.

Kayak clearing all the “bad games” and taunting the developers, followed by a refund show.

While watching this, Isabel felt the corners of her mouth rising ever so slightly.
Isabel, watching the video, suddenly felt the corners of her mouth creeping up.

“Cute.”

Isabel had always been weak for anything cute or pretty. Just in her mansion alone, she had dozens of adorable pets, including dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes.

That’s why the sight of the kayak struck Isabel as exceptionally charming. It looked completely haughty and cold, yet its actions were so childish.

Moreover, in the previous videos about the kayak’s life she had watched, the kayak had displayed a rather mature and sincere side, making the contrast even more striking.

Isabel found herself completely immersed in the video, forgetting the boredom and stress she usually carried.

When the kayak smiled, she would smile in return, and when the kayak focused on a game, she would unconsciously hold her breath; somehow, everything the kayak said felt unbearably cute.

Yes, Isabel had effortlessly transformed into what people call a “simp.” If she were to ask herself, she would coolly admit that she had fallen deeply into this state.

“Ah….”

What snapped her back to reality was the kayak’s VTube outro. As the video came to an end with a promise to see more, Isabel, who had been smiling while watching, suddenly frowned.

Before she knew it, she had watched every single VTube video available.

Even during live broadcasts, she had devoured everything, even those not uploaded to VTube, through the replay channel. The only thing left now was the pure live broadcast that the kayak would put on in the future.

Isabel felt a thirst for more.

“Why doesn’t Kayak stream more often?”

The maximum was six days a week, and sometimes even as little as four.

The more she streamed, the more money she could make. In fact, Isabel had sponsored around 10,000 dollars (about 13 million won) in just the last three days of Kayak’s live broadcasts.

More money is always better, and Kayak could rake in more if she streamed more often. Yet, she wasn’t streaming frequently. For someone like Isabel, who held the belief that nothing was impossible when it came to money, this was hard to understand.

“Hmm….”
Isabel, who can’t rest until she gets what she wants, stood her ground.

However, she didn’t intend to hold Kayak captive like a pet beside her.

Thinking about it, it was totally a possibility if she really set her mind to it, but being Isabel, who already had a history, she knew it wouldn’t be a very pleasant affair.

After all, it was about broadcasting. What Isabel truly wanted was simply to watch Kayak broadcast more often.

This desire was not much different from that of the Kayak fans, but the difference was that she actually had the power to create some significant waves.

‘What if I create an environment where she can broadcast more often?’

She remembered that one of the businesses she ran was launching a new internet broadcasting platform.

She could recruit Kayak there and offer her tremendous benefits.

For instance, not taking any commission from the donations received during broadcasts, or offering special bonuses at Isabel’s discretion for broadcasting more than 52 hours a week…

Isabel’s brain started spinning with possibilities. One thing was certain: all of that could only happen if she managed to recruit Kayak.

Hence, she promptly entered Kayak’s live broadcast and donated a hefty sum.

Life is full of unexpected moments.

You might get bird poop on your head while walking, win a lottery ticket you bought on a whim, or crack open an egg for breakfast only to find a double yolk inside.

My current situation was just as absurd. As I was casually chatting with viewers during my broadcast, suddenly a donation came flying in.

[Isabel has donated 1,000,000 won!]

-Good evening, Kayak.

“Uh, hi there.”

[Big spender has arrived again, lol]

[Following the streams looks like she’s Western]

[The scale of her donations is on another level, damn, lol]

[Didn’t she donate like 300 two days ago?]

[She must really be rich, I’m so jealous;;]

[Kayak’s charm is even captivating American tycoons, crazy]

[Why is this foreigner so good at Korean?]

[Guess it’s thanks to Papago lately; she speaks Korean well]
A few days ago, there was a person who had been consistently making donations. The amount was unusual, so I remembered their nickname.

Based on their nickname and profile, viewers analyzed that they seemed to be a foreigner, likely from the Western world.

My broadcast has seen a significant number of foreigners since the recent developer provocation incident. So, it wasn’t surprising that a foreigner donated. The amount itself was another story.

However, today, their actions were quite unusual. Unlike usual, they donated right as the broadcast started, and their following words sounded rather meaningful.

[Isabel donated 1,000,000 won!]

– I’d like to talk about business, if possible.

“Business…?”

What business could this be out of the blue? I wondered if they were asking for a refund on the donations they’d made so far, but judging by their expression, that didn’t seem like the case.

Did they really want to talk about work? Like advertising or collaboration? That wouldn’t be bad, but there were procedures for that.

“Thank you for the donation, but I’m currently live streaming. My email address is listed on my broadcast homepage; if you send me an email there, I’ll read it and reply when I can.”

[Wow]
[Broadcast is the priority, Female Kayak]
[200 million won won’t cut it, LOL, bring in 2000 million]
[If you count what’s been sent before, it’s well over 10 million]
[Mom, I want to be a kayak when I grow up! Mom, I want to be a kayak when I grow up! Mom, I want to be a kayak when I grow up!]
[2 million free viewers are more precious than a rich chairman…]
[Worship… I guess?]
[ㅠㅠ Sorry for being poor, Older Sister]

Unfortunately, there was nothing I could do. This was my first broadcast in nearly three days, making live streaming as important as business.

If I just catered to the big spenders, how disappointed would the rest of the audience feel? I hoped the viewers would recognize that I was thinking about them.

Just when I thought I had wrapped things up:

[Isabel donated 1,000,000 won!]

– I want to scout you, Kayak.

But that was something I couldn’t just brush off; both my viewers and I had to pay attention to what they said.

“Scout…?”
