Chapter 136

Yuma confirmed the mythic power rising from the ground with his own eyes.

The mythic power wafting up like mirage in the land of the Valkares Empire.

[Killed the Goddess of the Dead Bones, Angelica.]

[Killed Gulan, the father of all warriors and alchemy.]

[Accumulating the divinity of Angelica.]

[Accumulating the divinity of Gulan.]

Divinity.

Yuma’s current divinity was so elevated that even he couldn’t easily gauge it.

The source of Yuma’s divine power was half of God Incrinew’s divinity and the entire divinity of the evil god Barbatos.

These two divinities, transcending hierarchy, had combined to recreate Yuma’s divinity.

The achievements Yuma had amassed in the Intermediate World were so clear that the vessel for his divinity had formed to such a massive size.

In addition to the two above, it was one quarter of the divinity of [The God of Flames and Sorrow, Omertha], one of the Eight Evil Gods.

This kept Yuma’s divinity vessel teetering on the brink of overflowing.

It was confirmed that killing gods invading the Intermediate World certainly greatly helped increase the mythic power of that world.

Yuma turned his body.

He looked at his companions approaching him, as well as the members of the Valkares Empire.

The 3rd Prince Ricardo of the Valkares Empire approached Yuma, his golden hair fluttering.

Ricardo bowed his body toward Yuma.

The figure before him, Yuma, surely seemed like a god.

Otherwise, it would have been impossible to create a scene like he just witnessed.

Ricardo hesitated for a brief moment, but it was just a fleeting hesitation.

He knelt before Yuma.

Next to Ricardo, the knight Ragnak and the mercenaries and soldiers around them all knelt as well.

Ricardo slowly opened his mouth.

“O, great being…”

He spoke the words that resonated with all beings beyond mere dragons.

Yuma gently shook his head.

“Get up, it’s pointless.”

Everyone present here acknowledged him as the supreme deity of the Intermediate World.

So, he felt no need to indulge in further unnecessary adulation.

Ricardo and the Valkares citizens maintained their kneeling for a moment, even as Yuma gestured for them to rise with his right hand waving through the air.

After a short while, Ricardo and the others stood up.

Their gazes remained fixed on Yuma.

Golden radiance flowed from Yuma’s right hand. He planted that radiance like a banner into the ground.
He planted the flag of radiance firmly into the ground.

Ku──woong

The golden waves spread wide across the land.

A holy sound resonated in Yuma’s mind.

[The God of War has declared the Silmaria Continent as the second holy land.]

Yuma had proclaimed this place, the Silmaria Continent, as the second holy site.

Both gods, the root of the remaining monstrous remnants in the Silmaria Continent, had been slain.

The remaining monsters wouldn’t need Yuma’s intervention. They would be dealt with by the Celestial Beings and Lycanthropes who had crossed over simultaneously with him.

The holy sound related to the proclamation of the holy site might not reach the Divine Realm, but it would resonate with the three gods who had invaded this Intermediate World and couldn’t return to the Divine Realm.

From their standpoint, it would serve as an immeasurably intense warning.

Yuma approached the still trembling 3rd Prince Ricardo.

“Is the Valkares Imperial Palace still standing?”

At Yuma’s words, a dark shadow cast over Ricardo’s face.

“It’s probably mostly collapsed and in ruins.”

“I see.”

Yuma called out to the foremost figure among those following him closely.

“Hestia.”

He called upon Hestia, the Cat-Folk Swordsman and Saintess.

Having been incredibly successful in spreading the faith among other races, Hestia had truly become the Saintess.

“Yes!”

The Cat-Folk with crimson cat ears replied brightly as she looked at Yuma.

“I plan to make the 3rd Prince Ricardo the Emperor. I would like your help in restoring this empire and bringing it back to prosperity.”

Hestia understood what Yuma was saying perfectly.

“During that process, shall we also spread the faith in you?”

“…Yeah.”

Indeed, one didn’t need to elaborate on such matters; Hestia was very perceptive about these things.

A shimmer shone in her green eyes.

There was even a sense of determination within those eyes.

“God of War, Yuma Yuma.”

Hestia said something strange again and then firmly patted Ricardo’s right shoulder with her right hand.

“Let’s go, 3rd Prince. We must restore the nation.”

Ricardo gaped and followed Hestia.

“…Y-yes! Understood!”

Though he had to maintain a solemn demeanor as the 3rd Prince of this land, Valkares, the situation was far from suited for that.

‘Among the ones who invaded the Intermediate World, three gods remain.’

For now, he must stay here for about three days, so Yuma mounted the Griffin, Ethan.
For three days, Yuma had no choice but to stay in this place, so he climbed onto the griffin, Ethan.

Ermel climbed onto the back seat behind Yuma.

Divine Realm.

On the side of the main Divine Realm where the remaining five of the [Eight Evil Gods] resided.

Malphas, the [God of Fearsome Constructions], opened a massive white door.

As soon as the door opened, what was visible was a huge white wall covering an enormous space.

The giant crow faced the wall and spoke.

“…Two of the five gods who descended to the Intermediate World are dead.”

Another star from the Divine Realm has fallen.

No voice came in response to Malphas’s words. Malphas had to add more.

“If this continues, the mythological power of the Intermediate World could grow strong enough to blow open the doors of the Divine Realm.”

Malphas added further.

He had to somehow draw out a response from whatever was beyond that wall.

“Somehow, some way…”

A deep, cave-like voice resonated from beyond the white wall.

-You can just stay quiet. Malphas.

The heavy voice continued.

-Don’t you think your role in causing this situation is considerable as well? Malphas.

Malphas gulped down his saliva at the chill in the voice.

He had expected this. He could hear such words from the existence beyond the wall.

-You were the one who sent the God Barbatos down to the Intermediate World, making that human Yuma play a pivotal role in achieving divinity.

“…Well, back then I was human, so naturally, I thought Barbatos would take care of Yuma.”

-And then, you also lured those gods, crazy about increasing their divinity, down to the Intermediate World with your own mouth. You are also the one who caused the loss of Omertha, the God of Flames and Sorrow, who belonged to the Eight Evil Gods.

Malphas couldn’t say anything.

In the end, what the existence beyond the wall said was correct.

The low-ranking God Incrinew had caused his own death, but the other two who died at Yuma’s hands had indeed come to him because of his words.

-So… from now on, don’t do anything and just hole up in your sanctuary. If you go down carelessly and die, the mythological power of the Intermediate World will soar even higher.

-Unless you foolishly descend to the Intermediate World, that War God Yuma won’t have a way to drag you down there.

Malphas felt fear before the god on the other side but couldn’t resist the urge to speak out.
“If we kill that guy, won’t the variables completely disappear?”

– “That’s right. As for how to kill the God of War Yuma, I’ve got that covered, so you don’t need to worry about it.”

Malphas persistently asked.

“…Can I ask what method you have?”

– “I’ll enhance one of the three still lingering in the Intermediate World with a sharp sword to kill Yuma. Even if that fails, there are still ways to kill him. So just forget about the God of War Yuma and stay quiet.”

In a brief pause, the voice from beyond the wall continued.

– “If you incite other gods to descend into the Intermediate World again, then it’s you who’s going to die first, Malphas.”

Malphas swallowed hard, his black eyes spinning.

It was not something to be dismissed lightly. The entity beyond the wall was not someone that spewed nonsense.

– “If you understand, then get lost.”

The command was firm.

Momentarily shaking with humiliation, the massive crow-like figure of Malphas opened the gigantic door and left.

Beyond the white wall, a man with snowy white hair was gazing at several floating screens.

They resembled holographic displays created by magic engineering.

One screen showed a man wielding a sword, parrying the attacks of enemies.

A rectangular transparent screen depicted a scene.

Yuma parrying the dragon breath of the Black Dragon Elcam─Acreon.

The screens multiplied immensely.

The scene of Incrinew’s divine ability, [Finality], being shattered.

And the scene of the calamity Leviathan, who was once a servant of the Evil God Barbatos, being slain.

“…Counterattack.”

Overwhelming the Evil God Barbatos with three extra lives, ultimately killing him.

“If I remove just the power to deflect attacks with this sword, you’ll be nothing.”

Divine power, life-and-death battle.

The white-shaped divine weapon that appeared was indeed a disturbing presence.

But he had confidence that he could withstand this level of divine attacks. Several times, at least.

If only this counterattack technique could be erased, this guy would be nothing.

The man, the greatest existence among the eight demon gods.

The god of nothingness, Eltnis, continued to watch Yuma performing parries.

“I can definitely kill him.”
