【Today I’m finally getting married!】 – 4 hours ago
It’s finally the day of the wedding, and I am so nervous right after getting up early in the morning.
As I mentioned during yesterday’s broadcast, I believe this fruitful outcome is all thanks to the support of my fans.
I truly appreciate you all for cherishing a streamer like me who has many shortcomings.
I will spend the most important and special day of my life and will return to see you all in good health.
Thank you always.
– From Cosmo –
ㄴ Wow, Kang Woo-joo is really getting married!
ㄴ I seriously can’t believe it still, lol.
ㄴ Getting married at twenty-two is really fast for today’s standards.
ㄴ Congratulations, Hyung-nim! Honestly, I want to stab a spear, but I’m really happy that you’re seeing the fruits of your labor. I’ll keep supporting you!
ㄴ That honest feeling made me laugh so much, lol.
ㄴ Honestly, it’s strange not wanting to stab a spear.
ㄴ I wonder how much they’ll flaunt it after this marriage…
ㄴ How did his wife end up being the youngest daughter of Changseong Group? LOL.
ㄴ I still can’t believe it even after seeing it again, haha.
ㄴ At this point, isn’t he practically the owner of cheese?
ㄴ Not the owner of cheese, but the owner of Aiver, lol. I heard Seo-ha’s stake in Aiver comes just after the Chairman’s.
ㄴ I pay my respects to the King of Aiver.
ㄴ I wished for him to be this happy…
ㄴ I felt so bad hearing about his past, but seeing him happy makes me proud.
ㄴ Truly, the term “handsome couple” fits perfectly, haha.
ㄴ They match so well; I genuinely hope they live happily ever after.
This morning, I smile while checking the comments on the post I made as soon as I got out of bed.
The endless shower of congratulatory messages warmed my heart like magic.
Come to think of it, my father once said something like that.
He mentioned that the warmest morning of his life was the morning of his wedding day.
It’s the opposite of what people commonly joke about, that the morning of exam day is the coldest. I think my father felt differently.
And today, I feel that way too.
“Hey, you! If you’re nervous, what about the new daughter-in-law? As a man, you need to be supportive of your wife!”
“It’s not as easy as it sounds…”
Hearing my mother’s nagging from the morning, I moved to the ceremony venue, and after a brief rehearsal, I waited for the guests to arrive, with my heart still pounding like crazy.
Honestly, I know that just because of the wedding, my relationship with my sister won’t dramatically change.
It has been like this, and it will probably remain the same, a similar daily life.
However, even so, just the fact that we’re transitioning from lovers to husband and wife made me feel an unprecedented level of tension; I couldn’t keep my hands still on my thighs.
“You seem really nervous.”
“I guess so. Didn’t you feel nervous on your wedding day, Father?”
“I was nervous. It’d be strange not to be.”
While my mother was nagging me nonstop, my father came over and patted my shoulder, seeming to understand my feelings. In that moment, I thought to myself that only my father truly understands me.
“Hoho, Mr. Kang. You seem quite nervous.”
“Seo-ha’s taking Calm Pills today, so Mr. Kang seems the same, huh?”
My father-in-law and mother-in-law entered the groom’s waiting room, smiling and chatting. I always feel like they have such a good relationship, so close.
It’s a stark contrast to my parents, who run away from each other at the slightest opportunity.
“I’m sorry. I tried to stay calm, but it’s not working out.”
“What’s there to apologize for? That just shows how much you value our daughter.”
“Right, Mr. Kang. It’s okay to be nervous, just do well during the main ceremony.”
Strangely, those words made my tension increase even more, but I tried to pretend it didn’t faze me and awkwardly smiled.
As my father-in-law said, today, I’m in the position of taking away a precious greenhouse flower that has bloomed.
So, in front of my sister’s parents, I need to show a dignified and reliable image, at least enough to not embarrass myself. That’s the least I can do.
“The guests are arriving.”
“Oh, has it already gotten this late? Let’s head out.”
“Yes, Father-in-law.”
Steeling my resolve, I downed the water in the bottle, as the waiting room door quietly opened, signaling the guests’ arrival.
Alongside my in-laws and parents from both sides, I exited the waiting room.
Finding a spot and looking around the hall, I thought to myself that it was incredibly spacious.
When I was with Seo-ha previously checking out the venue, I had asked if this space was enough, which seems ridiculous now.
“Ahem.”
I adjusted my tie, glancing at the guests who began entering one by one. Even though we hadn’t even started, the crowd was quite large. Most were probably guests invited by my sister’s family.
“Oh, Chairman Ryu! It’s been a while. I hope you’ve been well.”
“I’ve been well, thanks to hearing such good news. Thank you for coming such a long way today despite your busy schedule.”
“Of course! It’s a wedding for the daughter of Chairman Ryu, who cares so much, isn’t it?”
The first guest, a middle-aged man in his early fifties, began to have a friendly chat with my father-in-law.
He seems like a guest from their side, so as I was about to shyly turn away, I suddenly heard—
“While you’re here, you should greet our son-in-law as well. This is him.”
“Ah, so this is your son-in-law? Nice to meet you.”
Unexpectedly, my father-in-law stepped aside, pointing at me, who was standing awkwardly behind him.
When the guest approached with a friendly expression for a handshake, I instinctively clasped his hand.
“I’m Kang Woo-joo. Thank you so much for coming despite your busy schedule.”
“As I heard, the son-in-law is very handsome.”
“Haha… Thank you.”
I had never been good at receiving compliments in the past, but after my sister praised my looks repeatedly, I got somewhat used to it and managed to accept it without embarrassment.
By the way, who is this person?
“Oh, my introduction was late. Mr. Kang, this is Chairman Kim Ji-yeol of SE Group.”
“…Pardon?”
As I was still questioning in my mind, a sudden realization hit me like a sledgehammer when my father-in-law casually delivered the truth.
SE Group? The one that ranks first in mobile telecommunications and petrochemical industries in the country? And this guy is the chairman?
“I-I’m so sorry I didn’t recognize you! I didn’t mean to be rude…”
“It’s fine, it’s fine. I’m just here to celebrate a friend’s happy occasion today, so don’t take it to heart.”
Once I realized my blunder and bowed 90 degrees, Chairman Kim just laughed it off, gesturing me not to worry.
My head is spinning. Sure, I prepared mentally knowing influential people would attend, but…
Who would have thought the first guest would be the chairman of SE Group? I’ve only seen him on the news!
“By the way, you came quite early.”
“I guess I’m growing old; I seem to need less sleep. I woke up and was the first one here.”
After that loud and bustling greeting with the guests passed, while I watched my father-in-law lead Chairman Kim away, I spotted a familiar face way back in the crowd.
“Editor! You made it!”
“I’m sorry I could only come by myself, sir.”
“It’s okay. I told everyone to take the day off since you’d be busy.”
It was Sung-min, the editor who was chosen as a representative of my staff.
Since I had given my employees so much work lately, I urged them to skip my wedding and rest, but they insisted on sending at least one representative, and it ended up being Sung-min, the first editor of our YouTube channel and now the chief editor.
“Make sure to enjoy the food. I heard the buffet here is delicious,” I suggested.
“I actually skipped breakfast before coming.”
“Wow, you really have good taste, Editor.”
You know, it’s polite to skip a meal before heading to a buffet. Sure.
As expected of our YouTube channel’s chief editor, I couldn’t help but give a thumbs up at their excellent taste.
“See you later.”
“Yeah, enjoy yourself.”
After chatting with the editor, I continued greeting the arriving guests.
Relatives, whom I rarely see even during holidays, showed up as well as viewers who frequently supported our broadcast.
Originally, I didn’t plan to invite fans, but Seo-ha suggested inviting one or two out of courtesy, which turned out to be a good decision as I saw the fans enjoying themselves like it was their own celebration.
“Hey, Kang Woo-joo! How are you feeling today?”
“Don’t even get me started. I feel like I’m going to die from the tension.”
Hours seemed to fly by, and I had lost track of time when I finally saw what seemed to be the last guests arriving.
None other than Park Jae-seong and Yoo Na-yeon.
With her usual carefree manner, Yoo Na-yeon playfully punches me on the shoulder and shows off that annoying smile. I was extremely tempted to punch back, but I held back.
This guy seems totally unchanged despite being married; he still has that reckless high school demeanor.
“Weren’t you nervous at your wedding?”
“I thought I was going to die. But it seemed like Na-yeon was doing okay.”
“Well, that guy never really has a thought in his head.”
“What’s going on? On such a happy day, you want me to punch you?”
Wasn’t I just punched already? The moment he shows up, he has the gall to say that to me!
Since this was no new development, I chose to ignore Na-yeon and continued chatting with Jae-seong. It’s obvious they were just going to see Seo-ha in the bride’s waiting room anyway.
“By the way, you have a ton of guests! How many showed up?”
“I have no idea. We didn’t invite too many, but I guess there are a lot from my sister’s side. Earlier, some chairmen came in a group.”
“Chairmen?”
“Yeah, even the chairman of SE Group…”
“…No way!”
“I wish it were a joke.”
As I smiled wryly and shrugged my shoulders, Jae-seong seemed to realize I wasn’t kidding and shared a similar awkward laugh.
“Anyway, hang in there. I’ll be watching with Na-yeon.”
“Thanks, I appreciate it.”
After a quick fist bump to finish our greeting, I returned to the task of welcoming the guests.
I think almost everyone has arrived now… huh?
“Did we arrive a bit late?”
“I told you we should’ve left a bit earlier. Seriously…!”
As I was finally spotting time to head to the ceremony, the automatic doors opened, revealing familiar faces—Gun-ho and his wife.
“Hyung-nim!”
“Oh, Woo-joo! Sorry we’re late. I had no idea traffic would be this bad…”
“I’m so sorry, Woo-joo. It was because this guy wouldn’t listen to what I said and delayed us…”
“It’s fine. I’m just grateful you’re here.”
This dialogue feels oddly familiar, but I didn’t mind and smiled in response.
“Congratulations again! It’s rare to see someone getting married so early nowadays.”
“Right? I never thought I’d be getting married so soon…”
As Gun-ho lightly patted my arm, he smiled gently.
“Today, just walk proud and confidently. You need to show Seo-ha that you’re dependable.”
“Of course. Now that I’m a head of the family.”
“That’s the spirit.”
Not that much was exchanged, but it felt like we conveyed everything we wanted to say in that moment.
– To guests attending the wedding of Groom Kang Woo-joo and Bride Ryu Seo-ha, please be informed that the ceremony will begin shortly…
At that very moment, the voice of a staff member echoed through the speakers, signaling that it was time for us to head back to our respective positions.
“Stay strong. Don’t be too nervous.”
“I’ll see you later, Woo-joo.”
“Yes, thank you.”
Bowing to them, I received help from a female employee nearby and made my way.
Thump. Thump.
The pounding of my heart, which had calmed for a moment, surged again, and I felt blood rushing through my entire body.
But for some reason, the tension I felt earlier wasn’t there at all.
Let’s enjoy this moment.
I firmly clenched my fist, determined that this day would be the most brilliant and beautiful day for the woman I would love for the rest of my life.
