Chapter 195 – Performance Competition (5)
“They tried to team up with Middle Eastern terrorist organizations, but they stabbed you in the back? Seriously ridiculous.”
“Now that we’ve come this far, I don’t care what you guys say. I just curse the trash that betrays once the situation changes, without a shred of divine power.”
Razak was grinding his teeth in anger, and his request was absurd. He wanted me to take care of those who betrayed him. The funny part is that those betrayers are just as trashy as him.
“It shouldn’t be hard, right? They’re a ruthless terrorist group, dictators, and evil criminals. You guys are magical girls who take down such scum. To the people of the world, you’re just doing your job. They wouldn’t even imagine you’re involved with me.”
[There’s no reason to refuse.]
But he stated it boldly, and Michael, that guy, bit right into it. It looked like he was falling for Razak’s trick, but it was obvious he had no intention of getting hurt himself.
“Do you really have to go that far? Even making a deal with monsters?”
[You’re making me say the same things. I’ll do whatever it takes. What’s the big deal about making deals with bugs? Sacrifices are a given for the greater good.]
I aimed for a little scratch, but Michael just scoffed. At this point, I had no options left.
“The one who strikes first owns it.”
[Where to?]
We both simultaneously gathered our power and shot up. We were in a dark, deep subway line. However, there was no time to turn back.
We smashed through the ceiling, breaking it apart, and burst through the ground into the sky.
“You, you can’t be serious…”
“This is war, Ren. It’s a war we need to win first.”
We broke through the asphalt and rose to the surface, ascending even higher into the atmosphere. It seemed Michael was heading there from a lower altitude. I also adjusted my direction and began racing west at maximum speed.
“Is this your first time going to a faraway foreign land? You let them know where I’m going. Just to be safe, tell them not to stop searching for Razak. That guy doesn’t seem like the type to be satisfied with just this once. He’s sure to pull some tricks.”
With a faint smile, I cut through the fierce wind, crossing the continent.
At this point, I couldn’t help but think it wasn’t that bad. With more strategies and choices to think about, I concluded that I had the upper hand being familiar with the local circumstances rather than the angels.
“R-Razak mentioned a group that was formed by Islamic radicals…”
“I know what those guys are like. They’ve been all over the news.”
It was dark when we set out, but now The Sun was bright. Of course, adjusting to the time difference was nothing I had to worry about.
“I can really see it. Razak’s magic.”
Hovering in the air, I scanned an unfamiliar terrain I had never seen before. As Razak said, his magic was faintly giving off traces.
If I head there, the targets I need to kill will be protecting it.
“I can feel that disgusting Holy Power too…”
The problem was the Holy Power I felt along with it. Michael, too, had arrived here almost simultaneously as me. And even I couldn’t help but click my tongue at the madness.
There was no hesitation or calculation at all. Just a foolish thought of overpowering everything with strength. The real problem was that even knowing that, the other side lacked the strength to stop it.
“So what are you going to do? Just let it go?”
“No way.”
I scoffed at Ren’s words. Smashing and killing, at least, was something I couldn’t lose at.

“C-Captain!”
“Wait! Why the hell is this happening…”
Malik, the rear commander of the extremist organization, had the mission of seizing the capital city and turning their existing base into their own world.
However, thinking it was a peaceful situation, he was shocked to see the sudden activity in the previously well-guarded underground facility, eyes wide in disbelief.
“I-I don’t understand. It suddenly started pulsating and moving on its own!”
His subordinates trembled, eyes shaking, pointing their guns at ‘that’ object. It was a giant, sturdy prison; what was inside was, without a doubt, a massive fleshly mass, now beating rhythmically like a heart, releasing magic in all directions.
‘Could that monster be up to something?!’
A recent incident flashed through Malik’s mind. When O Insun attacked Takilas, at a similar time, Razak’s legion soldiers, who had secretly crossed the continent, conveyed Razak’s message of an alliance.
They chose to lend power to Razak in exchange for receiving his strength. The justification was to use that strength secretly to achieve their grand ambitions.
But the moment Razak found himself in trouble, they unilaterally broke the promise and plunged the world into chaos. Until now, they had boasted of gods and grand religious purposes, yet the ruling class was merely seeking power.
“What should we do?”
“F-Follow my orders! We can’t afford to destroy that thing, or we won’t be able to use our magic weapons anymore.”
Malik wiped his cold sweat, thinking as hard as he could. The pulsating mass was incredibly creepy and ominous, but until a command came from above, he could not allow it to be destroyed.
“It’s emitting magic.”
“What?!”
Someone spoke up then. At that moment, everyone’s gaze turned toward a small figure completely wrapped in black cloth.
“And… it’s coming. A massive and powerful being.”
The androgynous voice trembling from within the black cloth rendered everyone at the scene speechless, unable to comprehend.
“L-Look outside! Emergency! Enemy!!”
But the simultaneous alarm and the horrifying screams and shouts echoing from the radio came.
While Malik froze in shock, his panicked subordinates rushed upstairs to the surface.
[There are plenty of villains here too. So many I can’t filter through. But, that’s not what matters right now.]
“Shoot! Shoot!”
“Demon!”
The angelic servant of Heaven, with shining wings, basked in the sunlight, and Michael hovered in the air, fluttering her short skirt with a faint smile.
Her appearance, worthy of admiration—gleaming pink hair and bright scarlet eyes—certainly could be considered beautiful.
Yet, the armed forces poured their weapons towards her without hesitation.
To them, magical girls were unforgivable sins. They were entities that directly contradicted their traditions and doctrines. Even mascots and fairies fled in terror, shutting down their business in this area due to the madness.
[Such foolishness. If you don’t step aside, then I have no reason to spare you.]
But for a transcendent from another world and the archangel of heaven, their customs and doctrines were non-factors. Even if the gods they believed in descended directly, she was an entity of a caliber to refute them.
[Burn to death.]
The moment Michael’s wings turned crimson, a dark flame erupted with a single flap that engulfed the surrounding area. In an instant, even the healthiest of people turned into charred skeletons.
Those shooting rifles, those with mounted machine guns in vehicles, and those preparing to fire recoilless rifles all burned to death equally.
“Ugh… Aah…”
Survivors were left frozen in overwhelming dread. Before the pure authority of what had long ruled over them, the dominant law, and the true madness, the only thing left was their ridiculous helplessness.
“Sorry, but you guys can’t escape.”
And then another disaster descended upon them.
“I’ll at least give you a chance. If you cooperate with me, I’ll save you from that crazy pigeon.”
However, the dark-haired girl forced them to make a choice with a beautiful face and a sly smile.
[What the hell is this?!]
“It’s a fair competition, Michael. You probably said you wouldn’t hold back on any means or methods.”
Sitting cross-legged atop the ruins of a destroyed outpost, Takilas scoffed at Michael’s indignant remarks.
“The choice is yours. Either beg for your lives, or be torn apart by my hands before that girl burns you to death.”
Turning her gaze, Takilas flicked her fingers at her organization members. This was her choice to leverage the fear planted by Michael for her advantage. And the people’s hesitation was brief. The terrified ones, regardless of their discipline or faith, threw down their weapons and rushed towards Takilas to survive.
“See? You claimed you changed, but nothing seems different.”
[I will only choose those who are qualified.]
With a look as if she scored a hit, Takilas stared at Michael, who gritted her teeth and gathered her power. Whether Takilas blocked it or not, she was determined to unleash a strike.
“Ahhh!”
“Khah…”
But the real anomaly didn’t come from their hands, but from a completely different place.
“Who are you?!”
Witnessing the sight of her organization members falling one after another, bathing in blood, Takilas stared, flabbergasted, at those who shot at her comrades.
