Chapter 813

<813 - Newbie Welcome (12)>

The butlers and maids who came for support felt that something was off.

“I never thought we’d be helping civilians evacuate instead of assassinating them…”

“The Student Council President candidate is definitely on another level compared to other students.”

With a single strike, they exploded a power condensed to its limit, trampling an entire border defense line.

Setting aside the bizarre attack method, there was simply no way to counter that brute-force attack method pushing with maximum mass.

“It’s practically impossible to block an already unleashed attack.”

“No barrier magic in the world can withstand that kind of mass.”

“Even waking the primordial giant from myth wouldn’t result in something smaller than that.”

There were only two opportunities to block an attack being crushed by a foot bigger than a giant.

“If we are the Seoguyeon Main Team, we should ambush Velvet Belle’s main body, right?”

“That’s concerning. If she gets caught, our first advance into the light will be thwarted by the death of our brigade commander.”

“They’ve reinforced with Seoguyeon’s inactive students. We don’t need to step in.”

“Inactive students? Are those the guys who suspend to earn points because they can’t measure up?”

“Those are ordinary inactive students. Seoguyeon’s inactive students are different. They hope to contain their powerful abilities at the main house, knowing that the international situation will flip and war will begin.”

Certainly, the strength of Seoguyeon’s inactive students was tremendous.

After a single strategic offensive, the Seoguyeon Main Team pretended to give civilians time to evacuate from Velvet’s attack path, but in reality, they were taking a breather to unleash their attacks once more.

The evidence came barreling through the battlefield in the form of the ironclad cavalry unit’s charge.

“Armor and grand magic defense layered on top; interception by magic is impossible. Even enhanced arrows won’t work. I’ll take a direct shot.”

An ogre struggled to lift a colossal iron tube with one hand, swinging it like a batter at a home run.

THUD!

With a stride fueled by every ounce of strength, the swung arm imparted centrifugal and rotational force to the massive weapon, smashing through seven layers of defensive barriers and sending magic armor and knights flying.

The armored cavalry widened their spacing, stunned by the unexpected brute strength. Meanwhile, from a distance, a knight condensed a dense white aura onto his spear.

“You fight well, don’t you? Take this!”

The spear, brimming with mana, spun of its own accord, gnawing into the Seoguyeon inactive student’s weapon like a screw.

“What… Is this… a double pole?!”

“The strong from the Professor Class exist even outside the Academy. Pay the price for your arrogance!”

In an instant, the tide of battle turned, the weapon piercing through the inactive student.

As the mana unleashed by the knight and the inactive student collided, shockwaves spread in every direction.

Other knights and inactive students were unable to approach due to the tumult of energy.

In the center, as the ground caved in and dust billowed up, the spear slowly penetrated into the inactive student’s palm.

As droplets of blood sprayed like a fountain, that student’s face turned pale with terror. Suddenly, something sharp shot in from afar, embedding itself in the knight’s back and forearm, halting the spear’s advance.

Hah!

The inactive student hastily swung their hand to shove the spear away and tended to their wounds.

“Ugh, I barely survived.”

“What’s this… an attack from our side?”

The knight poured all of their mana into extracting whatever had penetrated the joints they couldn’t reach.

[Similar Self-Defense Technique]
[Iron Stance]

With a stance as solid as steel, it wouldn’t permit any foreign invasion. The substance that had invaded the knight’s body fell to the ground.

The item that attacked the knight turned out to be a business card and a broom’s bristle.

These were items likely possessed by the staff of the Wahyhiemhai Foundation.

“I am Butler Luke, an employee of the former foundation and a current member of the [Organization that Plays with Oknodie], Jibsa Division 1.”

“And I am Assassin Maid Laura, also a current member of the [Organization that Plays with Oknodie], Maid Division 1.”

The knights found it hard to contain their bewilderment as the maids and butlers appeared boldly in the middle of the battlefield.

“Remnants of the foundation?!”

“Did these guys really ally with the foundation?”

“Didn’t we just make up that story to undermine the legitimacy of the inactive students?”

When the Seoguyeon Velvet Faction proclaimed the foundation’s underlings as turncoats, they were elated.

They could sully their opponent’s actions and objectives at every turn and claim moral superiority.

It felt as if they had a weapon that could be used at any time. Like a cornered monster unintentionally mimicking a human’s vocal cords, saying “save me”—they didn’t realize what they were doing and foolishly repeated, “They are the foundation’s lackeys!”

In truth, they couldn’t help but be unaware.

Throughout history, who among those using this handy tactic since the foundation first appeared hasn’t perished?

The reason people used the foundation’s name like a brand of shame is because they don’t know the consequences of its abuse.

Those who sullied the name of the foundation met their deaths without exception.

How could anyone realize the mistakes of the deceased, or the tragedies that have never been conveyed?

“Today’s customers utilizing the services of the Organization that Plays with Oknodie are the Seoguyeon Velvet Faction. Oknodie’s playmate has requested assistance for the evacuation of refugees, and any threats that might hinder their evacuation will be treated as targets.”

“Unfortunately, your current hostile actions against the Seoguyeon Velvet Faction are obstructing our master’s play. Please cease said actions immediately and withdraw.”

Once again, the knight who learned the double pole technique plunged his spear into a knight who had become a rag and received a new spear from his junior knights to boost his morale.

“If you don’t like it, what can you do?”

“Your attacking actions are deemed a serious obstruction to our master’s play. Initiating Standard Assassin Maid Cleanup Services.”

With a CLANK, the basket in Maid Laura’s hands swung open, revealing numerous projectiles, venom, and assassination weaponry.

What weapons would the maid choose to counter the battlefield?

Amid the knights’ anxious gazes, the maid selected her ‘cleaning tools’ for this battle.

CLICK.

WHOOSH!

The sound of loading and mechanical whirring echoed as the true identity of the weapon emerged… it was a shotgun connected to a poison belt.

“How is this even assassination?!”

“Was the cleaning for human cleaning?!”

The knights, unable to contain their incredulity, shouted that was not what an assassin maid should be, but the reply was a rapid-fire barrage of poison shots at 800 rounds per minute.

The powerful shock and explosive enchantment engraved onto the magic rifle created massive grooves even striking walls or building surfaces, shattering bricks and cement and sending shrapnel flying everywhere.

This high power pierced armor and shields, igniting sparks continuously, forcing the knights to deploy their Iron Fist and brace defensively.

FWOOOSH!

But that was not the answer.

Separate from the shells, poison mist rose, engulfing the ground and earth in vibrant colors.

The poison puddles left on the ground melted even the shoes protecting a horse’s hooves, and the toxic residues left in the earth continually obstructed their breathing and mana circulation.

Eventually, the knights began to lose their balance and pulled back their Iron Stance, urging their horses to gallop away.

Faster than the flying sparks, as the horses rushed to threaten the maid, Butler Luke pulled out a pocket watch from the side.

“Dear uninvited guests, it is time that we guide you away from your visit.”

CLICK.

As the charge concluded, the distance between the butler and maid reverted back to before the charge began.

Even with the depletion of spirit and damage to their armor, the knights felt immense frustration realizing the distance hadn’t closed at all.

“Don’t use cowardly tricks! Face the full 720 kg charge of the mid-armor cavalry and magic-protected knights with your paltry bodies!!”

“The proper weapons for this battlefield are lances and swords, not shotguns and pocket watches! Get proper gear and return, you crazy aides!”

As the magical spear volley rained down from all directions, the shotgun was destroyed and the pocket watch’s [Expel] function was damaged.

But the time bought by just one butler and one maid was invaluable.

It was more than enough time for the arrival of 10 butlers and 30 maids.

“Oh, my goodness.”

THUD. CLICK.

RUMBLE!

Thirty machine guns fired poison shotgun shells simultaneously, enveloping the battlefield in thick poison mist.

As demons erupted in panic, the knights, afflicted with neurotoxicity, had their veins bulge and skin discolor as they hung limply with one paralyzed arm, throwing spears with the other.

The butlers activated their enchanted tools imbued with spirits in unison.

“Today’s agenda is a pet walk. The master’s pets are about to come out from their cages; please take special caution.”

“I have clothing that suits the master’s taste. Please be sure not to offend the garment’s feelings by mistake.”

“Today, a special meal for the master is planned. The gathered ingredients are not yet prepared; we shall not be responsible for safety if you disturb the basket.”

As the pet cages, garment collections, and baskets were thrown wide open, the knights became snacks for the pets, new mannequins for the clothing, and food to maintain the freshness of the ingredients in an instant.

“Didn’t that just now sound like [Dread Now], the kind of thing that causes a city-scale calamity just by being summoned?”

“Why is a cursed living armor coming out of a garment collection…? Who were you planning to dress that on…?”

“Why is that [Grim Earth], which churns land like the ocean, coming out of the basket…? Isn’t that a golden plate-class being seen only in the academy’s upperclassman bestiary?”

The foundation’s dedication to humanity was enough to startle even the inactive students.

“So then… does that mean all of those will go to Oknodie?”

“More precisely, it’s going to the [Organization that Plays with Oknodie].”

“…What in the world do they need that for?”

Even the Seoguyeon Velvet Faction receiving help wondered if it was truly right to accept these guys’ aid, considering if they should reconcile with the Seoguyeon Main Team and fight with them instead was not absurd at all.
