The Star’s Flow Festival has been announced, but it’s not like anything big is about to change for me.
At most, I’ll just be redefining the direction of my dance and vocal training…?
Perhaps part of the reason is that there’s still quite a bit of time left until August, but honestly, what could a mere VTuber like me contribute to the festival preparations?
All I really need to do is prepare for what I can do on the day itself.
More importantly, what’s on my mind right now is… that there are only two days left until spring break.
What should I do over these two days to brag about having made my spring break meaningful?
Of course, there’s no one to listen to my bragging, though…
First, let’s look back at what I did during this spring break.
I visited the Star’s Flow headquarters… did some broadcasts… got invited to Sakuya’s stream… did another broadcast… participated in the planning for the Star’s Flow Festival announcement… and did yet another broadcast….
Huh? Did I… do anything besides broadcasting during spring break?
Is this the life of a current JK? I can’t believe it….
Well, thinking back to before I became a VTuber, I used to just stay at home during breaks….
So, I guess I have definitely made progress now?
Yeah. Slow is fine. As long as I’m moving forward…
Having proven that flawless logic, I got out of bed and turned on my computer.
It’s not broadcasting time yet, but modern humans can’t live without computers.
Sure, most things I can do on a computer can also be done on my phone now, but I just feel more comfortable moving the mouse and typing on the keyboard.
Anyway, after turning on the computer, the first thing I do is, of course, to log into my neater or community for some ego-surfing.
I can’t say ego-surfing is good, but it’s also hard to say it’s entirely bad.
It lets me easily see what I lacked or what was disappointing during my broadcasts.
[Mei’s butt is so cute I can’t breathe]
[Thanks for the letters written with your butt!]
[Star’s Flow really is a genius for coming up with this idea]
…Of course, such reviews are utterly useless, so I skip over them boldly.
As always, the majority of comments were related to my stuttering.
There were complaints about how I sometimes stuttered to the point of being hard to understand, encouragement that I’ve improved a lot since before, and even compliments that this part is cute.
Well… When I first started broadcasting, I was really super nervous and stuttered a lot.
Comparing my past self to now, I can say I’ve made incredible progress.
After finishing my ego-surfing, I log into OnTube.
The recommended videos on OnTube include various anime news and VTuber related videos.
Among them, I chose to watch the live stream of a newly debuted individual VTuber.
[Hey everyone! How have you been in the two days without Rinka?]
What should I say?
Recently, whenever I log onto OnTube, I often see newly debuted individual VTubers.
Of course, there have been individual VTubers who managed to find their own path during a slump that the VTuber industry faced for a while, but most couldn’t overcome those slumps and stopped their activities.
Viewers gradually decreased, and it’s only natural that if it’s not making money, it’s tough.
However, the fact that individual VTubers are debuting again recently is proof that the VTuber market is reviving.
The cause of this revival, of course, is Natsune Nanase and Star’s Flow.
And the fact that I’m a part of it feels oddly fantastic.
[Today, I’m thinking of playing “Gamma Hunter,” you know? I tried it alone a little… and I wonder if it might be too hard for my skills…]
After about ten minutes of watching today’s first stream from the individual VTuber called Rinka, I quietly hit the back button.
There really is no perfect VTuber like Natsune Nanase!
My affection for Natsune remains completely unwavering today as well.
Of course, I don’t feel completely guilty toward the various VTubers who have been the subject of my affection tests up till now, but… what can I do?
Yeah. If there’s any fault, it’s definitely the mistake of the too-perfect Natsune.
Yup. It’s absolutely not my fault…

[【Alpha Hunter】 What a total novice… but?! I’ll win in the end anyway?! Bring it on, Hunter series!!! Let’s all go!!! #Star’sFlow#KainohIzumi]
-─(≧▽≦)> Izumi Izumi!
-─(≧▽≦)> Izumi Izumi!
In a truly coincidental twist, the game I was about to play today was made by the same studio as the one the individual VTuber I watched at lunch intended to play, called “Gamma Hunter.”
It was essentially the first installment of the so-called Hunter Series.
Alpha Hunter. Beta Hunter. And now the newly released Gamma Hunter roll on, featuring their defining characteristic of being a super high-difficulty third-person 3D action RPG.
It’s not about making players feel unfairly troubled; it purely tests player skill with the game’s inherent difficulty.
The unique high difficulty combined with the dark atmosphere of the hunter profession in the fantasy realm makes the Hunter Series one of the most popular action RPG series in the world.
“Co, Konzumi…! The mood maker, Izumi Kainoh….”
-Haizumi!
-Total novice in the Hunter Series?!
As soon as the broadcast started, a flood of greetings and questions poured in from the Izutomos.
In fact, there were quite a few Izutomos who had questions right from my broadcast preview today.
It would certainly be hard to understand why I, who had pretty much experienced every common game up till now, hadn’t tried the popular Hunter Series.
If I were a viewer, I might have thought, “Isn’t she just lying to get attention?”
But what can I do? I’m really doing this for the first time.
And there’s not exactly any significant reason behind it; if I had to say, it’s because of 3D motion sickness.
In my previous life, I couldn’t enjoy several games due to 3D motion sickness, but after being reborn, I realized that I no longer suffered from it, so I enjoyed playing every game I hadn’t been able to try since my previous life whenever I had the time.
The Hunter Series was a series that released after I was reincarnated.
So… it had fallen behind in priority.
Once you fall behind a priority and enjoy all the games you couldn’t play in your previous life, it’s obvious that new games will start coming out again.
Then, in an effort to enjoy those, they fall behind once more in priority.
With that repetition, voila! A gamer emerges who has played pretty much every game but hasn’t tried the incredibly popular action RPG known as the Hunter Series.
“No, I’m not lying, it’s really my first time….”
-It’s quite interesting that Mei is a total novice in the Hunter Series
– I thought she was just waiting for the Gamma Series to come out
“Yup. Actually, you know? I thought about jumping straight into Gamma… but the approval hasn’t come through yet….”
The Gamma Hunter is a newly released title, so it takes quite a bit of time to get approval.
So my manager suggested that before I get that approval, I get used to the previous series, Alpha and Beta, since those were already approved and shouldn’t be problematic.
Well, at times like this, I envy the lack of restrictions on individual streams….
“Then, should we… start?!”
As I said that and changed the broadcast screen to the start screen of Alpha Hunter, the eerie atmosphere filled the room, and a ‘hunter’ wearing a rusty helmet stood with his back turned.
Then, when I clicked on [New Game] in the center, the screen transitioned to the character customization screen.
“Can’t I take off this helmet and armor?”
I could change the design of the helmet and armor in the customization window, but for some reason, I couldn’t take them off at all.
-Not possible for novices.
How unfortunate.
I wanted to do a custom job with a bald person, the symbol of a veteran gamer.
But it couldn’t happen, so I decided to pick the lightest armors available for now.
And then… the long-awaited weapon selection time approached.
-For novices, a one-handed sword and shield is recommended.
-If it’s Mei, maybe a dagger would be good too.
Countless recommendations from the Izutomos swarmed the chat.
I appreciated their thoughts, but sadly, my choice had already been made long before.
-If it’s Mei, it’s definitely the Tachi, right? Haha.
-This time too, it’ll surely be the Tachi…
– It was the Tachi during ST, wasn’t it?
The Izutomos with a one-year subscriber badge had already predicted my choice.
They really know me well since they’ve been watching me for so long.
“Hoho….”
I quietly chuckled and chose the Tachi, just like they said.
Well, Aki said that unlike ST, the Tachi in the Hunter Series has relatively high base stats, so I can’t say I feel too disappointed….
But still, a real man should use the Tachi.
Once I selected the Tachi and finished setting my stats, I hit the [Decide] button.
Alright… it’s time to return as the Tachi master, Kainoh Izumi…!
