Chapter 202 – Hell – 5
Thump-thump. Margarita struggled to suppress her heartbeat, which felt like it was about to burst. It had been quite a while since she lay on the bed, yet sleep would not come.
‘What are those two…?’
Margarita’s situation was all because of the two unexpected visitors who had arrived in Hell.
The woman who introduced herself as Kaiquilia was the Empress of the Aiternum Empire, and the man who called himself Delta claimed to be a knight serving the Empress.
While they asserted there was a lord-and-vassal relationship, they did not appear so at all. What knight in the world would treat their Empress in such a way?
Although he spoke with honorifics and politeness, the man’s demeanor was far from the respect a knight should show to an Empress.
Margarita, though a citizen of the Holy Kingdom, knew a fair bit about the Empire’s etiquette. If a knight behaved like that, it would be more than enough reason to have his head rolled immediately.
But the oddities didn’t end there. Right after Margarita had gouged out the Demon’s eyes, the two were practically clinging to each other. Actually, it would be more accurate to say they were half-embracing.
The knight had his hand on the Empress’s side, slowly caressing her waist, and the Empress was moaning softly, accepting his touch.
Surely, no one in this world would allow such behavior toward themselves without special feelings involved.
‘But….’
The man naturally caressed her side, while the woman accepted his touch, releasing moans that hinted she was forcefully restraining her pleasure. Anyone could see they were far from a normal relationship.
Considering the power gap between the two, it was even more pronounced.
Delta might objectively and subjectively be a decent knight, but he was no match for Kaiquilia, who could effortlessly slice through hundreds of Demons without even trying.
If she wished, she could easily subdue him and punish him accordingly. Yet here she was, allowing him to touch her without resistance…
‘Implicit consent.’
With her head deeply bowed, she was at an angle Delta couldn’t see, but Margarita, standing perpendicular to them, clearly saw the Empress’s expression, which was on the verge of melting from pleasure.
Just a bit of stroking at her side could elicit such a reaction? A woman’s body was not that easily overwhelmed. It was clear that they were very familiar with each other’s bodies.
Yet, they both answered Margarita’s question by insisting they were merely Empress and knight. It was 100% a lie.
‘They must be worried about that secret relationship leaking to the outside.’
Margarita understood completely. After all, she had only met the two the previous day. It would be more strange to reveal such a secret after such a brief time.
Margarita peeked out from behind the curtain. Delta was seated by the window, fiddling with his sword, while Kaiquilia had gone outside and hadn’t returned yet.
As she wondered what on earth could be taking so long,
—Hmph….
‘Huh?’
Margarita’s ears picked up a small moan. She froze in the position of peeking out, desperately wanting to believe she had misheard.
—Hah, um….
‘…Insane.’
It wasn’t a mishearing. The lustful moans, enough to arouse even a woman, were faintly audible through the curtains from outside.
While the curtain was layered to block the bright red light, the sound was quite muffled, but her sensitive ears captured it without missing a beat.
It wasn’t too hard to guess who the owner of those moans was.
‘…Outside? No, no matter how much they can’t do it inside because of me. Seriously outside? How often did they do this before coming here?’
Margarita couldn’t contain her shock.
Even if there were no eyes watching them after killing all the nearby Demons, how could they engage in such reckless behavior outside in the open? Did they derive pleasure from being exposed?
Finally escaping her shock, Margarita slyly asked Delta, who was still calmly handling his weapon.
“…Hey. Don’t you hear any weird sounds from outside?”
Of course, she couldn’t openly say that her lover was calming down her heated body out there, so she made sure to phrase it cautiously.
“I don’t hear anything.”
Delta, glancing briefly at the curtain, replied nonchalantly. Margarita was once again astonished.
‘Is such behavior outside not considered unusual?’
If a knight had skills like his, he should have very keen senses.
It was outrageous for someone with much greater abilities than her to not hear even the moans that sounded like they could be caught by her rusty ears after years of dormancy.
“No, listen carefully. You really can’t hear anything?”
“…I genuinely can’t hear anything.”
Delta, after closing his eyes and concentrating for a long moment in response to Margarita’s urgent inquiry, shook his head when he opened them.
His expression was clearly asking why he was acting like this. There was no doubt. He didn’t even think the sounds coming from outside were odd.
Or, perhaps he was intentionally turning a blind eye to his lover’s actions for comfort.
Margarita desperately wanted to believe it was the latter. If it was the former, it would imply they were an unimaginable perverted couple.
“I’m sorry. I thought I could go out and got a bit too excited and possibly misheard.”
“It’s fine. That could happen. I completely understand.”
After wavering for a moment, Margarita closed her eyes tightly and added a final remark.
“Um, you know. If you go outside and check the left cliff, there’s a pretty big gap there. I know because I lived there before I built my house. It’s quite spacious and cozy. There’s even room to lie down. If you go in a bit deeper, sounds won’t leak out.”
“I don’t know why you’re telling me this, but I’ll keep it in mind.”
Seeing Delta nod with a slightly displeased expression, Margarita admired her own thoughtfulness and lay back down on the bed.
Of course, lying down proved useless. With such lewd moans coming from outside, there was no way she could sleep.
‘…I told them, but why aren’t they going out?’
As time passed without any sounds of movement, Margarita couldn’t stay idle and peeked out from behind the curtain again.
Moans kept echoing, yet Delta remained seated, steadfastly not moving, and now had even closed his eyes. It was obvious he was attempting to sleep.
Leaving his lover’s desperate sounds unattended was incomprehensible.
As Margarita’s curiosity grew, the door opened with a creak. Margarita hurriedly lay down on the bed, pretending to be asleep. Although the layered curtains prevented visibility, still.
A faint peach scent wafted in, but there wasn’t time to ponder its origin. The moans had become even clearer now.
‘…Surely not here?’
Fortunately, the sound this time was short. Margarita sighed in relief as her assumption was proven wrong.
Shortly afterward, all went quiet outside. Margarita, lying quietly on the bed, couldn’t resist her curiosity and peeked out again.
What she saw nearly caused her to gasp.
Kaiquilia was straddling over Delta’s body, her legs spread apart. The Empress, perched atop her lover’s thighs, was gazing intently at his peacefully sleeping face.
What thoughts could be passing through her mind as she stared at that calm face? Not a clue.
“What do you think you’re doing on top of me?”
A slightly lower voice was heard. Since a woman’s weight had settled on his thighs, it was natural for him to wake up.
Upon hearing Delta’s voice, Margarita was startled and involuntarily lay back on the bed. It was them that were caught, yet her own heartbeat raced.
‘No way… they wouldn’t actually do it here, would they?’
Margarita briefly pondered on what she would do if that ‘no way’ actually happened. Should she act as if she hadn’t heard, or should she give hints to go outside?
After contemplating this for quite a while, she could barely withstand it for less than 30 seconds before poking her head out from behind the curtain again. Her curiosity was impossible to ignore.
Having been cooped up for so long, her mind was nearly unraveling, plus being human meant she had natural inclinations.
With such action unfolding right in front of her, it was effectively impossible to ignore it.
“This is….”
The next to speak was Kaiquilia. She appeared to contemplate for a while before responding to the question, maintaining her solemn tone.
“…Yes, it’s a punishment.”
“A punishment, you say?”
“Indeed. You dared to mock the Empress’s sacred body without permission. I shall personally punish this disrespectful knight.”
“I never imagined punishment would come in this way. What kind of punishment do you intend to administer?”
“You will find out in due time.”
Margarita couldn’t help pushing her head further out. The atmosphere was strange. What if they actually took it to the next level…?
“I don’t know what Your Majesty is thinking, but…”
The dark eyes suddenly turned toward Margarita.
She didn’t expect them to glance her way at all, causing Margarita to freeze in place.
“Do you have any objections to being seen?”
“…!”
At those words, the golden eyes turned towards Margarita. In the dimly illuminated world tinged with a soft red hue, those golden eyes did not lose their brilliance.
With a small gulp, an unidentifiable hiccup escaped someone’s lips.
As I walked beside Kaiquilia, holding the Holy Sword with a stoic expression, Margarita was following a little behind, constantly gauging our reactions.
After my words shattered the mood, time had passed aimlessly until the sky regained its sunset hue, and we departed for the location of the next item.
Kaiquilia’s expression remained stoic, but from the sight of her slicing through some Demons we encountered along the way, I could gather the feelings she must have been feeling.
‘Why did Floretta have to say something unnecessary? Well, it was right to retaliate since the provocation came first…’
The reason Kaiquilia suddenly acted like that was undoubtedly due to Floretta’s words.
While it sounded like envy over having a pure body, her real intention was pretty clear. She had bluntly juxtaposed herself against Kaiquilia, practically tea-bagging her face to face, so how could she not be angry?
It wouldn’t even be strange if Kaiquilia, who had openly displayed her interest in me, acted out of rage after seeing the Pope’s actions.
In fact, even last night, she had deliberately shattered the ambiance to give Kaiquilia a bit more time for rational thought.
“So, we’re headed to find materials, right?”
Margarita, who had been hesitating in the distance, cautiously opened her mouth.
“That’s right. Is there something wrong?”
“It’s nothing much, just wondering why we’re heading this way. Isn’t there a cliff up ahead?”
“Yes, it’s a cliff.”
“Then why…?”
I glanced toward the unactivated Magic Circle near the rocky mountain cliff.
“Because it would take too long to walk there.”
