Chapter 101

Multiracial Alliance Conference.

Setting aside the conflicts between races for now, the meeting was meant to advance towards a greater cause. However, it vanished into history along with the collapse of the Royal Knights.

Miraculously, thanks to the rebirth of the Royal Knights, the Multiracial Alliance Conference has been resurrected. Currently, Humans, Dwarves, and Beastmen maintain a tight alliance.

On the contrary, Elves have teamed up with Orcs and Vampires to form an Anti-Royal Knights Alliance. I can understand the Elves, but why the Orcs and Vampires? I thought maybe Cluna, being an Elf, would know a bit, so I asked her. Her expression twisted instantly. Do they really hate them that much?

“Do Elves not get along with Orcs and Vampires?”

“To be exact, Orcs and Vampires don’t like other races much either.”

“Really?”

“Yes, especially Vampires with Humans, and Dwarves with Elves don’t get along with Orcs.”

To sum up their traits in one line: Vampires are thorough hedonists, and Orcs are all about battle and blood—purely conflict-loving maniacs. I clicked my tongue.

“Those guys surprisingly didn’t betray us.”

“The reason is just as absurd.”

“What is it?”

“Vampires stayed because they like Human blood, and Orcs remained to fight stronger opponents.”

“Huh.”

Vampires and Orcs, mentioned only by name in the setting book, had no disclosed backstory. They were the first races to perish when the Demons retaliated.

Of course, they appear in the game, but mostly as slaves to the Demons, essentially mindless puppets. Yet, they are disgustingly strong.

Players would think, “even such strong guys ended up like this.” In fact, Vampires and Orcs almost hold a mid-boss position in the game.

“Who would’ve thought I’d see decent Orcs and Vampires?”

“Yeah?”

“That’s a thing.”

“Is that so? The Commander must have a lot of experience……”

Thanks to Cluna’s understanding, I could move on easily. I best understood the strength of Orcs and Vampires as a seasoned veteran. It was impossible not to know.

If you have the RIT as a culprit early on, then during the mid-game, it’s said to be Vampires and Orcs. They are particularly the ones who torment players in the middle part.

However, that also means we can use the full potential of Orcs and Vampires. At least for now. If things keep going like this, we won’t become the Demons’ slaves.

“By the way, the Anti-Royal Knights thing is unexpected.”

“They’re definitely a troublesome bunch.”

“I get Orcs, but I don’t understand the Vampires.”

Orcs are known to pick fights with stronger opponents. One could interpret that as having pride against the newly appeared Royal Knights. But Vampires? No clue.

“I don’t know anything about Vampires.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I can guess a bit with Orcs.”

“To put it simply, they are madmen.”

“What did you just say?”

“Vampires are madmen.”

I couldn’t help but be slightly taken aback by Cluna’s firm answer. It wasn’t just a bad review, as she had never messed up work out of private emotions before.

That means Vampires are so dreadful that Cluna can’t stand them. Well, how many normal ones would there be in an erotic game? But still, until I meet them, I won’t know.

“Looks like envoys are starting to arrive one by one.”

I was looking down at the courtyard from my office window. The first one to arrive was a carriage from the Human Kingdom. For a royal carriage, it looked surprisingly shabby.

Is the situation really that dire…… I thought, quickly rising from my seat. Thinking it over, as the Commander, I shouldn’t be leisurely sitting here.

No matter how much I am the Commander of the Royal Knights, the opponents are people with equivalent positions. But a king is coming, and I’m sending a mere member to greet him?

That, at least, would be deviating from courtesy. I was about to step out quickly when Cluna gently grabbed my shoulder. What the heck is this?

“Commander, please calm down.”

“I can’t. I need to go out quickly.”

“I understand what you’re worried about.”

“Right?”

“However, there’s no need for that. Because all of this is the power you should naturally enjoy.”

Listening to Cluna’s explanation, I was convinced. Thinking about it, we’ve fought many Demons, putting our lives on the line. Even the Blood Demons, we repelled with our strength.

In that situation, it would be better to subtly show our advantage rather than me stepping out trying to be courteous, which was Cluna’s opinion. And I agreed with that perspective.

At least considering what we’ve endured this far, we cannot ignore what we have built by risking our lives. I sat back down.

After a while, leaders of other races began gathering one by one. Familiar faces appeared. From the Dwarf Republic, the ambassador Bilal represented the royal family since they were too young.

From the Twelve Tribes, of course, Yuyoung was present. However, that was the only familiar face. Representing the Elves was a newly elected male Elf named Maquenis who was said to be exceptionally hardline among the Elves.

If such a person was elected as a representative, they must harbor ill will toward us.

“Please, don’t cause any trouble……”

“Before you finish your sentence, they are already causing trouble.”

“What the hell.”

It seems everything about them displeased, picking nonsensical fights, and getting swiftly overpowered by Yuren. Not through brute force, though.

Using Dragon Pier, she silenced him entirely. I sighed. What can I do? It’s mostly my fault for destroying the World Tree. Of course, that doesn’t mean I regret it.

Back then, the lives of my precious members were at risk. If I were to go back, I would destroy the World Tree willingly. And the Elves would already know it.

The World Tree was polluted, and destroying it was the only way at the time. Sure, with time, there might have been a way to purify it. But what about the blood spilled back then?

“It’s quite a troubling issue.”

“Humans, Dwarves, Beastmen, Elves…… so far, we’ve come this way.”

“Each one is quite a character.”

“The real show hasn’t even started.”

“What?”

Boom!! Before the words finished, the ground shook as if an earthquake had occurred. I quickly turned my head. There was a being clutching the castle wall as if it were a nest.

Its wings were so massive they covered the sky, and just by its gaze, it seemed like it could burn everything to ash. Truly, the most powerful existence on the continent. I muttered blankly.

“A Dragon……!!”

With the appearance of the strongest race on the ground, everyone in Lionheart Fortress was stirred. Seeing that, I frowned. The other races might not know, but at least we had to be careful around Dragons.

If a Dragon sets its sights on you, you might not survive. Just looking at Yuren’s power shows why one shouldn’t turn against a Dragon.

But then again, it’s not like I can go out just because a Dragon is here when I hadn’t even stepped out until now. Stuck between doing this and that, I was just kicking my feet when—

“Yuren!!!”

“??”

The dignified appearance of the Dragon disappeared in an instant, replaced by a silly middle-aged man. He appeared to be a man trying to hug Yuren. What the heck is that?

“Looks like he is Yuren’s father.”

“Yuren’s father?”

“Yeah, his name is Yujen. The current Dragon Lord.”

“……”

I had heard of him. The Dragon Lord, a being that would never move unless there was a crisis in the world. True to the setting, there are only three opportunities to encounter the Dragon Lord in the game.

One of those is during a game over just before the player dies, functioning as an event to prevent the game over. He might use up too much power and either vanish or fall into a deep slumber.

With power capable of stopping ordinary game over events, even the Blood Demons’ invasion could be thwarted alone by the Dragon Lord. But to think such a person actively came here!

“I’m so glad you’re safe!! My daughter!!!”

“I can hear a far-off wailing voice, so noisy.”

“What’s that?”

“That’s a Vampire.”

A girl with golden hair reaching her waist and red eyes appeared. One could call her Gothic…… or whatever. Next to her were mostly others with golden hair and red eyes.

Looking at that scene, I thought.

Indeed, this is what you call an erotic game.
