Chapter 50-1: Bonus
This is a moment that Elrose was completely unaware of or simply couldn’t perceive.
The Silver Deity ascended like a massive slime in the realm of souls, with no focus other than the soul of the girl.
She radiated Pure White Light, her eyes tightly shut, floating in the air, as if she were asleep.
The Silver Deity trembled slightly.
She was just too pure, too enticing; it felt as though he was completely entranced by her.
How wonderful it would be to devour her.
The Silver Deity gently swayed and instantly extended countless filthy tentacles towards the girl’s soul.
“Hey hey, while it’s said that Magical Girls and tentacles go well together, this is meant to be all-ages, so let’s skip any lewd scenes.”
A youthful voice leisurely came down, and numerous crimson Titan Serpents suddenly appeared, swiftly biting off all of the Silver Deity’s tentacles.
The Eldritch God calmly sat atop the head of a giant serpent, protecting Elrose, and said leisurely, “Um, could you please die a bit further away?”
The Silver Deity paused slightly: “Deity… how can that be? In this world, all deities have already perished, right?”
The Eldritch God smiled faintly: “Who knows?”
The Silver Deity quietly stood still, observing the opponent: “We are both remnants of souls, both shattered, yet you are very weak—perhaps even weaker than I am. You will not be my opponent.”
“Indeed, I am extremely weak. Trapped for hundreds of thousands of years, I’ve almost reached my limit; you’re right, I might not be your opponent right now.” The Eldritch God let out a bitter laugh, then continued, “But unfortunately, your opponent today is not me. I’m merely here to provide support. Your true opponent is him.”
The Silver energy instantly gathered its focus, becoming alert to its surroundings.
…
……
An oppressive silence, as if nothing happened.
“Are you kidding me?!” The Silver Deity suddenly felt that she had been played.
“Cough cough.” The Eldritch God awkwardly cleared his throat, then spoke softly into thin air: “Hey hey hey, I know you don’t want to see me, but if you don’t come out soon, our girl is going to be eaten.”
“Tap, tap, tap…”
Accompanied by light footsteps, a gaunt middle-aged man slowly emerged from the darkness.
“So this is your backup? Don’t make me laugh.” The Silver Deity scoffed coldly: “A mere human dares to participate in battles among deities?”
Saying this, the Silver energy erupted once again, launching countless tentacles to instantly obliterate the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man calmly observed everything in front of him: “Human? Sorry, I haven’t been one for a long time.”
In the next moment, countless shadows erupted from the man’s body, flames rising, instantly transforming into a terrifying Demon Beast.
The Demon King Descends.
Crimson eyes glanced briefly, and the tentacles in the air instantly turned to dust.
“Shadow Demon…” The Silver energy took two steps back, knowing full well this wasn’t an ordinary Shadow Demon; its soul was incredibly dense and probably reached the level of a demigod.
“Didn’t expect that such a pure-hearted girl would actually harbor a filthy Shadow Demon.” The Silver Deity sneered.
The Shadow Demon ignored the words of the Silver energy, slowly tilting its head to the white-haired boy on the serpent’s head and coldly stated: “Suppress its divinity; leave the rest to me.”
“Understood.” The Eldritch God slowly rose, and an ancient and massive sealing formation instantly appeared behind him.
Eldritch Deity.
Mysterious black light descended, causing some property of the Silver energy to seemingly change instantly.
The silver figure appeared to be greatly stimulated, immediately seeking to flee.
But in the next moment.
A massive claw descended from the sky, forcefully pinning the silver energy to the ground.
The Shadow Demon coldly looked at the “deity” beneath its claw: “You, who have lost your divinity, are truly weak.”
【Requiem of Souls】
Black wings suddenly spread wide, and countless tormented souls transformed into gray-white magical energy, erupting violently.
“Boom!”
“Ah!!!” A wretched scream immediately echoed.
Under the Shadow Demon’s power, the Silver Deity quickly turned to ashes, vanishing from this space.
“Woohoo, one-shot kill, really impressive.” The Eldritch God clapped repeatedly.
The Shadow Demon glanced at the Eldritch God but chose not to respond, turning to leave.
“Hey hey hey, don’t go! Let’s have a chat.”
The Titan Serpents slithered, instantly blocking the Shadow Demon’s path. The Eldritch God leaped and stood in front of the Shadow Demon: “We haven’t met since you signed the contract, my Pactbearer.”
The Shadow Demon hesitated for a moment and slowly replied: “I am not your Pactbearer; I have already given that contract to someone else, haven’t I?”
“Is that really the case?” The Eldritch God smiled with resignation: “You’re quite unscrupulous; not informing me of the contract transfer almost led me to mistake you for someone else.”
“If you can’t even see through such a trivial matter as a deity, then you’re really lacking.” The Shadow Demon said mercilessly.
“Stop scolding me; if you keep it up, my fragile heart won’t be able to take it.”
“Hmph.”
“Then I have one more question: how did you revive her? After hundreds of thousands of years, she’s just a mere human; it’s impossible for her to still be alive.” The Eldritch God asked curiously.
“One soul for another; it’s merely an exchange of souls, not some advanced technique.” The Shadow Demon replied blandly.
“Exchanging souls… I see.” The Eldritch God observed the Shadow Demon deeply: “No wonder you’ve been hiding behind her, not letting her know of your existence.”
“She is me; why would I need her to see me?” The Shadow Demon answered indifferently.
“Alright, alright, you’re technically justified.” The Eldritch God shook his head gently: “So, why do this? Why abandon your contract with me and forsake everything?”
“Is this simple logic so hard for you to grasp?” The Shadow Demon raised its head slightly, looking at the pure soul floating in the air: “The so-called ‘miracle,’ she deserves it; I don’t. It’s that simple.”
“Is that so? Is that your choice?” The Eldritch God smiled with understanding, about to say more.
Suddenly, a golden hole broke through the Eldritch God’s ethereal body, as if something had pierced through it.
The Shadow Demon was startled and quickly glanced around, fearing new enemies had appeared.
The Eldritch God waved his hand with a smile: “Oh dear, oh dear, don’t be nervous; it’s a minor issue. You can consider it as me being caught doing something wrong by my parent.”
“Is it life-threatening?” The Shadow Demon asked with unusual concern.
The Eldritch God scratched his cheek and laughed heartily: “Maybe, probably not, but perhaps I won’t be around for a long time.”
“Oh, then it’s fine.” Saying this, the Shadow Demon turned to leave. But suddenly, he stopped and slowly said: “By the way, I remembered something. I once saw the depictions of the gods in an ancient book from the Divine Era. The Eldritch God depicted there is quite different from you… at least, shouldn’t be a male.”
“Hehe.” A sweet laugh came from behind, a gentle female voice that seemed capable of enchanting all: “You big fool, how could something like a deity have gender?”
The Shadow Demon did not turn back, for he knew that if he looked back and saw that person’s true form, it would be as depicted in the ancient book… he would be doomed for a lifetime.
Gradually, the Shadow Demon walked further away, eventually disappearing into the darkness.
“Ah, ah, truly an ungrateful man.” The white-haired figure floated gracefully, the Eldritch God smiled alluringly, and in the golden energy, turned to ashes.
Only the girl’s pure soul remained, floating lonely in the void of the realm of souls.
“Ugh, ugh, damn it, stinky Luna, don’t deduct my salary.”
